Story
Meet Penny 💛 Penny is the kind of dog people think they want and then can’t believe she’s still available. At four years old, she has that beautiful, balanced energy that comes with maturity. She walks wonderfully on leash, rides calmly in the car, and handles new environments with quiet confidence. She’s adaptable, steady, and easy to bring along for whatever the day holds. One of Penny’s most underrated qualities is her independence. She settles beautifully on her own and doesn’t demand constant attention or entertainment. Because she has been in boarding, she’s already accustomed to spending much of her day alone, which means she transitions easily into homes where people have normal work schedules. If you’ve ever thought, “I work too much to adopt,” Penny may prove you wrong. That independence, though, doesn’t mean she doesn’t want her person. She’s ready to finally have someone she can rely on at the end of the day. In a home, Penny relaxes deeply. She’s content to curl up nearby, keep you company, and simply exist in the same space. She isn’t high-energy, but she absolutely has her joyful moments! Especially when the zoomies kick in. And if you have treats, you already have her full focus. Penny is very food motivated, smart, and eager to learn, which makes continued training both easy and rewarding. For her best match, Penny would do best in a home with older children or adults only. She is not a fit for homes with cats. If there is another dog, she does best with a calm, submissive companion who respects her space. Penny isn’t looking for chaos. She’s looking for stability. For someone who chooses her. She is steady. She is smart. She is ready. Penny is already spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated. She is currently in Tricities Washington. Her adoption fee is $400. All she needs now is a place to finally call home. Apply to adopt Penny today. 💛🐾
