Story
Oklahoma Joe was found as a stray and picked up by Animal Control on Tallahassee Lane in Pasco. He is now neutered and ready to go home today!Currently weighing about 46 pounds, Oklahoma Joe has a bright future ahead of him—we just hope the right person sees it too. It`s no secret that Joe is underweight. When he arrived, he was immediately placed on a carefully managed feeding plan to help him safely begin gaining weight. Dogs that have gone without adequate nutrition for an extended period can`t simply be fed as much as they`ll eat, as doing so can lead to a dangerous condition called refeeding syndrome. Instead, his meals have been carefully increased over time to give his body the best chance to recover safely, and he`s already making steady progress.Whatever Oklahoma Joe has been through, it`s clear someone spent time with him at some point in his life.He knows an impressive list of commands in both English and Spanish, including sit, stay, wait, lay down, shake, and speak. Some commands he`ll perform with verbal cues alone, and he absolutely loves showing off his skills for a tasty treat. Joe is very food motivated and genuinely enjoys working with people, making training sessions both fun and rewarding. He walks well on a leash with just a little pulling and has a wonderfully gentle demeanor. Like many dogs who have experienced food insecurity, he can become excited when he sees hands because he hopes they might have treats. For that reason, he may be best suited to a home without very young children or anyone who may have difficulty managing his enthusiasm around food.Oklahoma Joe is already beginning his glow-up, and it`s easy to picture just how handsome he`ll be once he`s filled out and settled into a loving home. More importantly, he`s simply a really nice dog who deserves the chance to leave his past behind and start the next chapter of his life.Since Oklahoma Joe was found as a stray, his history with other dogs or cats is unknown. Meet and greets are required with any dogs currently in the home prior to adoption.Oklahoma Joe`s adoption fee is $50. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed. Animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Come meet Oklahoma Joe and see just how m

Story
Hello this Is Luna and she is 4 yrs old. Me and my ex-bf had her since she was a puppy (5mons), she has been the only pet in the household. We lived in an apartment ever since, so she is house trained and potty trained. I’ve been very busy with work and life lately and I haven’t been able to give much attention she deserved. It is very hard for me to let her go but she needs a good home and family that can give her a lot of attentions, space to run around, and let her energy out, and specially love she needs . She is very vocal, lovable, and very silly dog. She can be very protective as she grow up alone.

Story
...Reata Reggie was found as a stray by a good Samaritan on Reata Road in Kennewick. Reata Reggie is now neutered and ready to go home today!Reata Reggie currently weighs about 52 pounds.Since he was found as a stray, his history with other dogs or cats is unknown. Meet and greets are required with any dogs currently in the home prior to adoption. This boy is all heart and people. Reata Reggie is the kind of dog who wants to be wherever you are, preferably touching you if possible, and yes—he fully believes belly rubs are a basic human responsibility. He walks okay on a leash but is still learning the finer points of it. Nothing unmanageable, just a little polishing needed as he builds consistency. He is very food motivated, which makes him fun to work with and very eager to engage. Training with him should be fun—he’s absolutely interested in being part of whatever you’re doing if snacks are involved.Reata Reggie already knows sit and down, and he’s very willing to interact and offer attention in exchange for affection or treats. He can be a little enthusiastic at times, but in a very endearing `happy to be here` kind of way. Overall, he’s just a solid, affectionate boy with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. His breed mix is unknown, though we see cattle dog markings and possible rottweiler traits. Whatever he is, he’s definitely a handsome one.Reata Reggie’s adoption fee is $50. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed. Animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Come meet Reata Reggie and see for yourself what a houndsome boy he really is!
