I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Playful, Affectionate, Cuddly Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm a sweet old lady who's looking for a retirment home! Despite my age I still have some energy when excited. I LOVE playing with toys and I'm not picky about what kind! I get very excited when hearing my own name. When I've had my fill of playing I'd love nothing more than to cuddle up with my human (though I may try to climb in your lap). Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6/10 Housetraining Status: I have been good at keeping my kennel clean, however it may take me some time to adjust to the schedule in my new home. I should do well in a home: I am required to meet any and all dogs in my potential home. I should do well with children of all ages. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Despite being a senior I still have a bit of energy and LOVE playing with toys! "Baby Girl was sweet and kind as soon as we met her. She was thrilled to play outside but loved just laying and getting pets with us as well. She was calm and quiet, happy to just be with us. She’d be a perfect dog for any type of household!" "Baby Girl was an absolute gem on her doggy day out! She did very well in the car and LOVED looking out the window. When playing outside, she was very energetic and loved to play fetch and sprint around. On her walk, she was very curious about all her surroundings and had to take in all the smells. Baby Girl is a BIG cuddle bug when it comes to getting cozy inside. All she wanted to do was snuggle up on your lap or right next to you and receive all the pets and love. Baby Girl is also very curious and wants to know what you’re doing if you are not with her. She’s like your little shadow. Overall, Baby Girl is such a sweet girl and would make the best companion for whoever adopts her." I should do well in a home: with kids and other dogs of all ages given proper introductions and time to adjust. I have never met a cat before, so my humans don’t know how I will be around them. I would love to go home with my brother Yoda! It is not required, but we do love each other very much. My favorite activities are: Playing with my brother, and enjoying tennis balls and squeaky toys. I love zooming around the yard at CRHS. I'm also very affectionate and will demand pets by putting my head under your arm. I can be a little reserved of new people, but once I get to know you I'll be your bff! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 8/10 Housetraining Status: I'm still working on it, but with a consistent schedule I should catch on fast! I should do well in a home: Any children in my potential home will need to be 13 years or older. I am required to meet all dogs in my potential home before adoption. I have never met a cat before so my humans don’t know how I will be around them. My favorite activities are: Getting love and affection. I will come sit between your legs and lean on you. I also really love to play with my people, especially with squeaky toys. Things I need work on are: I am a big boy who isn't aware of my strength and size, so some basic training would help so I'm not so jumpy when excited. I also tend to pull on the leash. Any special needs: None Doggy day out notes: "He's the sweetest boy. LOVES the snow. Loves pup cups, treats, snuggles and stuffies. He's happy just being near his people. Great in the car, great in the pup cup drive thru. He just wants love. He is a completely different dog after some positive reinforcement, love, cuddles, and rewards for his good behavior." "Malachi was an absolute joy to have today! He was a little nervous at first but it didn't take him long to settle in. He saw a good mix of people including young kids to early pre-teen ages. He let a number of people approach for a closer look and was receptive to petting. He was curious of other dogs but we still kept a safe distance. He did bark a tad bit at some larger me who were walking the other way on a trail but it was very short lived. I would assume he may be a bit more trusting of women. All in all, he conducted himself extremely well. It would be a pleasure to take him out again!" "Malachi did super on his DD outing! He loves being out exploring and sniffing at everything on walks! He does pretty good leash walking but would prefer to sniff. Malachi loves attention & affection from his human and he likes to snuggle right up to you putting his head in your lap. He will definitely make a very nice addition to a family and/or person💙" "He is such a happy dog and he jumped up and gave me a hug when he saw me. We took him to the pet store and he picked out a toy and a treat. He was really good with everyone he saw men, women and kids. He takes treats very gentle. He walks good on leashe. He was really good in my truck he looked out the window and laid down and took a nap. He got a pup cup and was really good at the drive thru. He played with his toy a little bit but was definitely more interested in his pig ear. Hes a great dog and calms down quickly and relaxes when he is out and away from the shelter and gets comfortable. He loves to give kisses and lean his head on your lap or shoulder. He is a great dog. We love Malachi." Hi, my name is Tucker! I am an 8 year old male. My paperwork lists me as an Australian Shepherd, but my friends at CRHS think I look more like a Cattle Dog/Beagle mix. Whatever I am, I'm 100% adorable! I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, microchipped, and soon to be neutered. 3 words that describe me: Affectionate, Playful, Talkative Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: Before I came to CRHS I lived with my previous owner in a truck. Understandably I was very nervous when first arriving, but I've been making great progress every single day and I'm much more comfortable now. With that being said, I still may take some time to get comfortable living in my new forever home. Once I know you I love getting affection and cuddling. I can be very vocal and have a lot to say at times, so I may not be the best apartment dog. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 4/10 Housetraining Status: I have been good at keeping my kennel clean, however it may take some time for me to adjust to the schedule in my new home.
