Story
Hey there, I'm Homer! I'm a 3-year-old male Labrador Retriever. I am current on my vaccines, and soon to be heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Friendly, Curious, Affectionate Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I came into CRHS with 13 other labs. We were all kept outside in the cold with no food or water. Despite my rough beginnings I have a GREAT personality! I don't know many tricks yet, but I love treats so it shouldn't take me too long to learn. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6 or 7/10 Housetraining Status: I am still working on it. A consistent schedule and lots of praise will help me learn! I should do well in a home: I should do well with children of all ages given proper supervision. I should do well with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. I have never seen a cat before. My favorite activities are: I like exploring with my nose out in the yard. When I've had enough of that I'd appreciate some affection from my humans. Things I need work on are: Housetraining, Basic Commands, Leash Walking Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Hello, my name is Baby Girl! I am an 8-year-old female pitbull/english bulldog mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Couch Potato, Affectionate, Cuddly Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm a sweet old lady who's looking for a retirment home! Despite my age I still have some energy when excited. I LOVE playing with toys and I'm not picky about what kind! I get very excited when hearing my own name, so excited that my whole body does the shake!! When I've had my fill of playing I'd love nothing more than to cuddle up with my human (though I may try to climb in your lap). Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 3/10 Housetraining Status: With a routine, Baby Girl is quick to tell her humans when she has to go potty, and per her fosters, she has not had any accidents. I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with: Baby Girl is currently living in a foster home with 2 cats of whom she does beautifully with! She sits and wags her tail waiting for them to approach her. I am required to meet any and all dogs in my potential home and I should do well with children of all ages. My favorite activities are: Despite being a senior I still have a bit of energy and LOVE playing with toys! Things I need work on are: Leash Walking Words from her Foster family: Baby Girl is just the sweetest old lady!! She just wants a couch (or 2) to lay on and a side of belly scratches. She’s made herself right at home and even my skittish cats don’t mind having her around Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: "Went on a nice little walk and she was so excited she ran for a little bit, and played with toys later." "Baby Girl was sweet and kind as soon as we met her. She was thrilled to play outside but loved just laying and getting pets with us as well. She was calm and quiet, happy to just be with us. She’d be a perfect dog for any type of household!" "Baby Girl was an absolute gem on her doggy day out! She did very well in the car and LOVED looking out the window. When playing outside, she was very energetic and loved to play fetch and sprint around. On her walk, she was very curious about all her surroundings and had to take in all the smells. Baby Girl is a BIG cuddle bug when it comes to getting cozy inside. All she wanted to do was snuggle up on your lap or right next to you and receive all the pets and love. Baby Girl is also very curious and wants to know what you’re doing if you are not with her. She’s like your little shadow. Overall, Baby Girl is such a sweet girl and would make the best companion for whoever adopts her." Story
Hello, I'm Thor! I am a 2-year-old male husky. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, mircrochipped, and neutered. 3 words that describe me: Goofy, Smart, Handsome Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm nervous meeting new people, although I seem to prefer women and warm up to them faster. I'm not really food or toy motivated, but I LOVE being with other dogs! I came from the same home as Ryker who has helped me come out of my shell a little bit. My friends at CRHS think I'd do even better in foster, especially with another dog friend to show me the ropes! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 8/10 Housetraining Status: I am very good at keeping my kennel clean, although it may take me some time to adjust to a new potty routine. I should do well in a home: Due to my reliance on other dogs for comfort, I am required to go into a home with another dog. Any children in my potential home will need to be 10 years or older due to my shy nature. I did great with cats in my foster home, given proper introductions. My favorite activities are: Running around outside with Ryker, lounging in a comfy spot, and cuddling up with my favorite people. Things I need work on are: Building confidence and basic commands. Any special needs: N/A Foster Notes: "Thor is the most loving and unique dog I've ever had the pleasure of fostering. He does take time to warm up, but just needs someone willing to give him patience and grace knowing that they will be rewarded with a dog who truly sees you as his best friend. Seeing Thor blossom into such a silly and outgoing boy is an experience that I can't wait for his new family to have. I highly reccommend giving this guy a chance if you need some excitement in your life, or just want to know what unconditional love feels like." Doggy day out notes: "Thor did amazing on his DD outing! He is coming more out of his shell being out with me. Moving slow with him and low activity places are what Thor likes. He is a bit shy but warmed up to me fairly quick. Thor is so much fun to hang out with💙 I have no doubt he will do amazing in a home" "Thor did amazing on his DD outing! He is very curious and loves to sniff on walks and just being out. I've taken him on a few outings and he has really gained confidence and trusting me as his human and the outside world. Super great pup who I love hanging out with💙 He will do great in a home environment!"
