He is gentle and doesn’t ask for much. He is content with a soft place to lay, dog bones, and a stuffed animal to rip up every now and then, oh and can't forget head scratches. He loves looking out the window and waits patiently for his humans to come home and patrol for the mail man and amazon drivers. He loves everyone, even the spicy little chihuahua. Yes he is a senior dog, but I promise he will leave a footprint on your heart.

Story
Meet Ellis! 💕🐾 Ellis is a 15-week-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with a big personality, a big heart, and a whole lot of love to give. This sweet girl is affectionate, intelligent, and ready to find a forever family who will continue helping her become the confident, well-rounded companion she is meant to be. Ellis absolutely loves her people. She is the type of dog who wants to be involved in everything you do and will likely become your loyal little shadow. Whether you're relaxing at home, working on a project, or heading out for an adventure, Ellis wants to be right there beside you. She thrives on connection and being included as part of the family. Because she loves her people so much, Ellis is currently working on learning that she doesn't always need to be the center of attention. She has a very expressive personality and will happily let you know when she would like some love and affection! We have been working with her on becoming a little less dependent and giving her confidence to relax independently. By occasionally ignoring her requests for attention and rewarding calm behavior, she has already made huge improvements and is learning that she doesn't need to use her voice to get what she wants. Just like her brother Ender, when Ellis gets excited, she has the cutest little whimper that comes out because she is so happy and eager to interact with you. She isn't trying to be demanding — she is simply a puppy who has so much excitement and love that she has to share it with you! Ellis is a high-energy girl who will thrive with an active family that enjoys adventures, training, and keeping her busy both mentally and physically. With her Australian Cattle Dog heritage, she is smart, observant, and eager to learn. She will do best with a family who understands that intelligent dogs need engagement, structure, and opportunities to use their brains. Whether it's going on walks, exploring new places, learning new commands, playing games, or simply being included in daily life, Ellis is ready to be your partner in everything. Ellis is: 🐶 15 weeks old 🐾 Australian Cattle Dog mix ✂️ Spayed 💉 Up to date on vaccinations 📍 Fostered in Stevens Point, Wisconsin 💕 Affectionate, loyal, energetic, and eager to learn Ellis is looking for a family who will love her big personality, continue guiding her as she grows, and appreciate the incredible companion she is becoming. Adoption Fee: $350 💕 Apply to adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LPRI/Dog Learn more about Last Paw Rescue: https://lastpawrescue.org Last Paw Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Popsicle is the absolute best girl with a very wonderful personality. She does fine with all the foster dogs living in her current home. The only thing that she ask is that her crate can be her space and her space only where she can enjoy her dinner and high value treats alone. She has a very boxer style way of play so having a more mellow dog or someone that understands her type of play would be best. She’s such a happy girl so happy that she had to have her tail amputated due to a chronic happy tail situation so now she has a very cute little nub to solidify her boxer style!

She’s has been the shyest of her litter, unsure of the big world around her, but in just her few shorts days in foster, she has made incredible progress and continues to gain confidence everyday! Watching her come out of her shell is truly rewarding. While she may still be a little cautious in new situations, she’s discovering that people can be truly wonderful, what it actually feels like to be a puppy, and that life is only full of fun adventures! She’s working on her manners, figuring out what this thing called a leash is all about, and making great strides with potty training. A patient family that continues to build her trust and confidence will only be rewarded into watching her become the most amazing dog she’s meant to be!
