When she first came to us she was very shy but she has since blossomed. She is still unsure of new things but she has gained so much confidence while with us. She would love a dog friend as she loves to play & they help her feel more comfortable. When she sees us playing with our dogs or giving them attention, she’s right there to join in! She loves to cuddle up next to you & give kisses. Even though people initially make her nervous, she is curious & doesn’t mind meeting new people who visit our home. She loves spending time with us & cuddling up next to us on the couch. She is a very sweet girl looking for a home who is willing to give her the time she needs to continue to be her newly confident self!

Due to overcrowding at its finest Chewy was on the euthanasia list and we were able to get him off just in time. Since he arrived he’s been enjoying his time at his foster home with the kids the cats and the other dogs. He is a young boy that likes to play so if he goes to a home with other dogs, they have to be dogs that are able to tolerate his type of play. It seems like he’s still trying to figure that out and it’s quite comical. The dogs don’t enjoy his style of play give him a correction and he moves on. He’s very respectful on the leash and loves walks. He can also sit and shake! Chewy does share a home with other dogs, but he is particular about the dogs in his home so he would need to be either an only dog in his home or a dog that matches his energy, preferably a female.

She loves to play with the other dogs in the house including her sister, Dixie. She is a bit more mild mannered compared to her sister. She is a little skittish but if you’re still or sitting on the couch she will come to you and loves to cuddle. Most dogs that come through are skittish at first but do get over it as trust grows. All around she is a good pup, she is learning fast and quickly got over most of the typical puppy problems like chewing on random things in the house. We have 5 cats and she will chase if they run but she is completely fine around our more mild mannered cat.

Popsicle spent over two years in a neglected rural shelter before being rescued — she was just a name on a forgotten list. But even after all that time, she’s full of joy, wiggles, and affection. Now thriving in her foster home, Popsicle is gaining confidence every day. She’s goofy, playful, and so eager to be part of a family. Whether she’s trotting alongside you on an adventure or curled up by your side for a snuggle, she just wants to love and be loved. She gets along well with other dogs but she prefers to keep high value things to herself so she utilizes her kennel for high value items. Popsicle is in fact so happy she has her tail amputated due to injury from constant wagging! This girl has come so far. All she needs now is a forever home where she’ll never be overlooked again.
