From the Vet: While Gilbert has a history of seizures, he is very well managed on his medication. Hello my name is Baron, I'm from Minnesota! Baron is the definition of the "goodest boy". If you are looking for a companion that knows all his commands (sit, stay, down, shake, come), is potty trained, crate trained and an excellent walker Baron is your boy! Don't rule this sweet boy out because of his age, he might show his grey but he still has spunk/energy and loves his morning/afternoon walks and play time with his ball. He loves being outside and near his person. He is excellent with kids and doesn't bark at the doorbell or strangers but will give you that husky talk when it's time to eat and play! Baron is kind, gentle and a chill old boy after he's had some exercise. He will be waiting for you by the door from the moment you leave until you get home. He absolutely LOVES his person! From the Vet: Baron has several fatty, benign lipomas, common for a senior, but none are bothersome or worrisome for our vet currently. An adopter should continue to monitor these and consult a primary care vet for any further care in regards to management of current or new masses that may arise in his advanced years. TBB will pursue a dental for Baron and this is something that will be covered in his adoption contract so he can be settled into his forever home while he recovers. These surgeries typically come with at least some extractions so I would expect a 2 week recovery period where he may be recommended to get a soft/canned food diet or soaked kibble until extraction sites heal.

Highly food motivated, he'll dive for any chance to eat. I highly recommend storing food away from his reach. Still working on potty training, but a consistent schedule will help. Isn't the biggest fan of his kennel, but we will go in for meals and naps. Takes some time to settle for bed, but quiets down after 5-10 minutes.
