Story
Hello! My name is Salish. I am perfection and an absolute staff favorite. I spend most of my days sleeping beneath a desk in the back office. Every once in a while, I'll wake up for a quick nuzzle and settle back in for a nap. I enjoy going for walks and have lovely leash manners. I've never met a stranger and will calmly approach new people for pets. Sometimes I jump up if I get excited but I've been consistently gentle. I don't like going in my kennel at the shelter, but what husky does? I can be left alone in the office for up to an hour and haven't been destructive or upset. I have played with another dog at the shelter and done well but have shown some dog selectivity. I would probably be perfectly happy being your only dog. I am not at the shelter as I am currently staying in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting me, please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org to learn more about me!

Hey there, Instagram fam! Let's talk about Icy, the floofy husky girl who's still on the hunt for her perfect forever home. Beneath all that luxurious floof, lies a beautiful personality waiting to shine! Icy, a 5-year-old spayed husky, has been through quite a journey. After undergoing surgery to repair the tendons in one of her back legs, she has been patiently recovering and is now back on her paws, walking with determination once again! Icy has a history of being fostered with other dogs, but we believe she would truly thrive as the star of the show in a loving home all to herself! She's not only spayed and up to date on her shots, but she's also incredibly food-motivated, making training sessions a breeze. Here's something truly heartwarming: a kind soul has donated $200 to Icy's adoption fee to help her find her forever home! This gesture not only shows the beauty of humanity but also doubles the joy of welcoming Icy into your life. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this sweet, resilient soul? Don't let Icy's fluffy exterior fool you - she's an absolute sweetheart looking for someone special to share her life with. Story
Hello! My name is Shasta. I`m a typical Husky - a fun loving girl with a zest for life. I love to move and would enjoy a home that keeps me active! I`m working on my obedience skills and currently know `sit`, I will reliably do it for treats! I`ve been lukewarm on toys but I do decidedly prefer something that squeaks. Due to my breed and natural inclination to chase small moving objects, any home with small animals, small dogs or cats should be prepared for a carefully managed introduction so we can all be friends! I weigh 51.5 lbs but I do need to gain come wait. Most huskies are considered large breeds, but i`m not quite there yet. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!***April showers bring May flowers - and a lot of dogs at Regional Animal Services! Through May 31, you can `Pick Your Price` when you adopt an adult dog (six months or older). Adoption fees are $25, $50, $75, or $100, plus a pet license fee if applicable.***
