Meet Annie! Annie is a sweet, snuggly, playful puppy. She is an introvert with new people and places. She has come SO far in foster care, and watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. Annie is a sensitive girl who takes a little time to feel safe with new people, places, sounds, and experiences. She thrives on routine and does best when she knows what to expect. Once she feels comfortable, her silly, affectionate puppy personality really starts to shine! Annie loves to play, snuggle, and be close to her people. She gets along with other dogs and loves to play with cats. Annie is wonderful with dog savvy kids. Like any young puppy, she still needs reminders about puppy mouthing and appropriate ways to play. Annie’s ideal home: • Another dog is a must. Annie takes a lot of confidence from other dogs and looks to them for reassurance. A confident canine sibling will help continue teaching her that the world isn’t so scary and show her how to “dog.” • A patient family. Annie will be shy and take things very slowly. She needs people who will give her time, provide structure and boundaries, introduce new things at her pace, and celebrate the little wins along the way. • Understanding around food. Annie currently shows resource guarding around food with other animals. She needs to eat completely separately from other pets. In her foster home, she eats in her kennel and the other animals are kept away from her while she eats. Her future family should be comfortable continuing to manage this and helping her work through it appropriately. • A safe space of her own. Annie is kennel trained and LOVES her kennel. It’s her safe place, and we want her to continue having access to it when she needs some downtime. Annie generally warms up to women more quickly. Men can absolutely win her over too—she just needs a little more time to decide they’re safe. This girl doesn’t need a perfect family. She needs a patient, consistent one who understands that confidence is something she’s still building. Give Annie routine. Give her boundaries. Give her a doggy best friend. Give her time. In return, you’ll get to watch a scared little puppy realize that the world is safe, her people are hers, and she can finally just be a dog. Play hard and crash hard. He sleeps all night and has not had a single accident! Whiskey is a smart boy-he already knows sit and come. He loves a good puzzle feeder too! Whiskey is your ride buddy- he loves the car! Whiskey definitely knows that a dog bed is his place to be!! He is really good at entertaining himself while we work but he is a puppy! Hello there, my name is Anna! I’m a beautiful medium sized dog with a sweet personality that is ready to find her forever home! When I first came to Minnesota I was very shy and unsure of things but my foster family can’t believe how far I’ve come. I like to meet people, even if I’m a little shy about it, and if you’re lucky I’ll even reach out to hold your hand. It’s one of my favorite ways to say “Hello, nice to meet you” or “please stay here by me”!I am housetrained and am getting better every day at going for walks. I need someone who is patient to help me continue to learn that walking is a fun, relaxing thing that dogs do! I am also good with cats, dogs and people of all ages! I don’t like going in a kennel but I’m calm and don’t get into things so my foster family trusts me to be home alone when they’re gone and I do a great job.Right now I’m being treated for heartworm so I have to take it easy but that is perfectly fine with me. The things I like most are napping, laying outside in the sun and watching time go by either inside or outside.I’m a low key girl who is for a family who will be patient with my shy heart and give me the time I need to blossom. Hi! I’m Taytum, and I’m so happy to be in Minnesota! I’m on a very important mission: finding my perfect forever family. ❤️I came to Minnesota with my sister after we were found as strays in Alabama. The wonderful people at Warrior Dog Rescue brought us north so we could have a chance at the happy, loving lives we deserve. And let me tell you—I’m discovering that life in Minnesota is pretty wonderful!For now, I’m living with my amazing foster family, and they’ve been teaching me all about the good life. I have a foster mom and dad, two human brothers (ages 8 and 10), and two foster-pup sisters. When I first arrived, the world felt like a pretty scary place. But with patience, kindness, and lots of love, I’ve learned that new people are pretty awesome. I’ve settled into my foster family’s routine, and my resident pups have been wonderful teachers and have helped me become much more confident.I may have missed out on some of the good stuff during my first nine months, but I’m making up for lost time! I’m playful, curious, and especially fond of chew toys. I’m also a big fan of my kennel. My foster mom leaves the door open, and I’ll happily wander in when I need a quiet place to relax and decompress. I sleep peacefully in there all night, and I’m comfortable going in when my foster family needs to leave for a little while. Of course, I’m also perfectly happy taking a cozy nap on the couch or snuggling up with my humans. ❤️I’m learning all about leash walks, too! I don’t pull, but I do believe that every walk should include plenty of time to stop, sniff, and investigate the important doggy news along the way.I’m still learning and growing, but I’m ready for my forever family to continue showing me the world and helping me become the best dog I can be.
