Hi! My name is Hayes, and I am from Arkansas! From his foster: Hayes is a very sweet, fun and energetic boy. He's a bit cautious at first, but will become your shadow in no time. He enjoys playing with his stuffy toys, chewing bones and playing fetch with his humans. He is working on gaining his confidence and is starting to enjoy short walks outside in the neighborhood. He will be sure to find a good stick to chew on while he's out exploring. He is a curious guy and is learning about everyday sights and sounds. The world is so interesting! He loves to snuggle up with his humans when he is tired. Hayes has been a champ at potty training and accidents have been very minimal, he does great with praise and being rewarded with training treats. He is currently working on his playful puppy biting, but can easily be redirected with toys or something else to chomp on (he knows he's supposed to leave the Crocs and slippers alone, but sometimes they are just so enticing!!) We have been working on crate training and he is doing well, especially if we are nearby. He settles in quickly and it's not long before you can hear his cute snores. Hayes is truly a sweet, smart pup with lots of love to give! We think that he would do great with another dog that could show him the ropes as the world can be a bit scary for him. He would excel with another dog when it comes to play time and learning to tone down his puppy biting inhibition. He has not been super interested in meal time, but will eventually eat when he's ready to.

He's been great with my young kids, potty training is going well, he's very food motivated. He is deaf, but you wouldn't even know it! He’s doing really well on a leash and loves walks. He has done really well with other dogs and loves to play with them,great with kids, unsure of cats. He will need a home that can really work with his kennel training, we've started, but he gets pretty anxious and we haven't been able to leave him for long periods of time.

Stella is a beautiful 70ish lb black lab whose favorite hobbies include napping, wagging her tail, and chewing on squeaky toys. She loves meeting new people, she is so excited to show them her toys and to get pets from them. She isn't very fond of other dogs in our experience, so we would definitely recommend slow intros with controlled introductions (walks, through baby gates, etc) and a watchful eye to start. Stella needs to only be with older considerate children, she does not appreciate little ones who want to hug and be in her space all the time. She has not been tested with kitties, but we think she would do best in a cat free home. Stella has been on a weight management diet and she is doing great! Stella free roams in our house when we are gone, and we have had no issues! We fell in love with her instantly, and she loved us instantly too! We describe her to our friends as "the perfect dog", she is a great addition and is happy to just be near her people. If you are looking for a chill, SUPER happy, cuddly dog then Stella is the one for you!

Hi! My name is Thomas and I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Meet Thomas, our sweet spunky pup! He is such a lover and loves to snuggle with you on the couch and be by your side as you watch TV on the couch, work from home or sit on his dog bed, supervising you while you cook. He is 99% house trained and crate trained and while he definitely has a hound type bark, he typically only starts barking when our resident dog barks. He learned a lot at a stay & learn program and we have continued that training with him. He is overall great on the leash and is so food motivated that if he does happen to grab a shoe that he's not supposed to have, he'll gladly give it up for a treat. He loves our resident dog but does not need another dog around to be successful. He loves all strangers and new dogs that he's met and has done great with kids! His forever family will need to continue his basic puppy training and he'll make a great companion for just about anyone! From The Bond Between: Thomas had shown a few incidents of resource guarding. Since he is a young puppy, we wanted to nip this in the bud right away! Thomas will spend 3 weeks at a stay and learn with a trainer in order to improve this behavior. A bonus, he will also learn other puppy manners like crate training, continued potty training, etc. Foster/adopter homes will have training support after his stay and learn to continue his journey on being the best pup!
