Story
Meet Daisy Mae, the tall drink of water you didn’t know you needed. Born around January 2022, she’s basically a professional at being both your hiking buddy and your couch-side snuggle supervisor. This big, goofy girl thrives in the company of other dogs—seriously, she thinks doggy playdates should be a full-time job and she’s the CEO. Cats? No problem. Chickens? Well… let’s just say Daisy Mae believes they’re suspicious little feathered aliens and she’d rather not negotiate peace treaties with them.   She’s got all the basics down—potty trained, kennel trained, and polite enough that you won’t find your favorite shoes mysteriously “remodeled.” What she’s really looking for is a family who will match her zest for life, whether that’s tackling trails, showing off at the dog park, or pretending she’s a 70-pound lapdog when the day winds down. Daisy Mae is equal parts adventure partner and cuddle connoisseur, and she’s ready to make your family complete.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $395.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2025, 7:09 pm

Story
Hi everyone! I’m Buddy, a happy-go-lucky black Lab with a heart full of love! I was born in February 2022, and even though I had a bit of a rough start, I'm ready to find my forever family! When I was a little pup, walking was a challenge. But my amazing foster mom came along and helped me on my road to recovery! My back legs needed some extra attention. My right leg was a bit weak and didn't bend much, so I used to swing it when I walked. But my left leg? It's super strong and works great! I've been doing physical therapy, which is lots of fun and includes toe wiggles and games (I might have given my foster mom a few ticklish licks during our sessions!). It's important for me to keep my left leg strong, and my foster mom thinks working with a professional physical therapist would be awesome. I can walk and hop pretty well when I go slow, but when I get excited (which is pretty often!), I sometimes scoot around like a happy little wiggle worm! I'm still working on potty training, but my foster mom has a secret: my tail! It goes straight up when I need to go potty, so she knows it's time for a break. Most of the time, I'm just too busy playing to remember! Slippery floors can be a little tricky for me unless I have good traction, and while I can do stairs, I might need a hand going down (those railings can be a bit scary!). But you know what? My spirit is unbreakable! I love *everyone* – kids, adults, and other doggie friends! (I haven't met any cats yet). I do bark in my kennel when I want attention, food, a potty break, or just because I'm feeling chatty! So, a home without shared walls would be best for me. Car rides are awesome, as long as I’m safely buckled up or in my crate. I even have a special "Help Em Up" harness for all our future adventures together! Are you ready to open your heart and home to a special needs pup with a heart of gold? I can't wait to meet you and give you all my love! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $donation of your choice Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 26, 2025, 12:22 pm

Story
Meet Augie, the Labrador mix who could easily win “Best Boy in the Universe” if such a competition existed (and frankly, it should). At six years old, he’s mastered the fine art of being potty trained, loves a good round of fetch, and has perfected the soulful gaze that says, “Yes, I deserve another treat, don’t argue.”   Augie takes a tiny daily pill to keep his worries in check—think of it as his little superhero cape—and he’s working on slimming down with extra walkies. He’s all for the walk part, but if you ask him, snack reduction is an absolute tragedy and should be reported immediately to the Treat Council.   This big-hearted cuddle bug is happiest in a calm home where his humans are over the age of eight and understand the sacredness of belly rubs. He’s not into sharing his people with other dogs (he wants to be your one and only), and cats are still a mystery he hasn’t solved.   With tricks like sit, shake, and lay down already in his arsenal, plus excellent kennel and house manners, Augie is basically a furry gentleman in a handsome dog suit. If you’re ready for unconditional love, a dedicated snuggle buddy, and the occasional goofy grin, Augie is waiting to claim the best seat on your couch—and in your heart.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:$250.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 26, 2025, 6:46 pm

Granny (2 years old) is a petite, playful girl who loves swimming, fetch, and being the center of attention once she gets to know you. She’s very attached to her best friend Wrinkles and finds comfort in her presence. Granny is kennel trained, good with kids, and would do best in a cat-free home due to her prey drive. Wrinkles is more timid and takes her time warming up to new people, but once she does, she’s affectionate and playful. She enjoys playing with other dogs and loves chasing a ball—though she hasn’t quite mastered the art of bringing it back! These two are looking for a loving home together where they can continue to thrive with each other by their side. If you're looking for a dynamic duo full of heart, Granny and Wrinkles could be the perfect match! How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
Hi! I'm Gypsy! I'm a beautiful golden retriever mix, about 3 years old (born 10/2021). I'm at that perfect age – not a crazy puppy, but not a slowpoke senior either! I've had a bit of a bumpy start in life, moving between homes a few times. But I'm ready for my *forever* home, and I'm hoping you're the one! My sweet golden eyes are hoping to convince you that I'm the missing piece in your family. Because of my past, I do have some anxiety, especially when kenneled for long periods. But don't worry! I take a daily anxiety medication that helps me feel much better. It's super easy – just hide it in a pill pocket with my morning meal, and I gobble it right down! It's *very* important that I get this medication *every* single morning. It's not something I can take occasionally, and I shouldn't stop taking it suddenly. My foster mom strongly recommends I stay on it for life to help me feel safe and secure after my rough start. I'm a fun-loving girl! I adore playing with toys, kids, and most other dogs. I can be a little bossy with *some* female dogs, but I get along fine with most. Cats? I'm curious at first sniff, but then I usually just ignore them. I've been around cats in other foster homes and done well. I'm a fantastic car rider – I love watching the world go by! I'm also crate trained (I might whine a little when you leave, but I settle down quickly) and house trained. I'm the perfect blend of cuddly and playful. I'll happily snuggle up with you on the couch for movie night, but I'm also ready for some zoomies in the yard or a good run! Won't you please give me my happy ending? I promise to be your loyal and loving companion forever and always. I'm just a brown-eyed girl, waiting for you! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 30, 2025, 1:25 am

Story
Hi! I’m Dunne, aka Dune-buggy or Duners. Just thought I would stop in with a little update on me. If you’ve read my profile before you may know that I’m originally from Afghanistan and spent my first few years there. Because of my time there, we don’t know much about my previous life except that I was a street dog and didn’t live in a house. Now for the good update part. I’m really liking and getting the hang of this house living thing. The people and other dog I live with have been teaching me a lot of stuff and because of that I feel safer and more comfortable and confident so I do not need to always follow my temporary mom around everywhere she goes in the house. She keeps telling me that I am almost there to being a perfect gentleman. I now sit and wait for my food until I am told I can have it. Same with treats, I don’t try to grab it out of their hand. I do at times have a little too much energy and get a little too excited so I jump around or run up and down the stairs. So little kids or adults that aren’t steady on their feet might not be a good thing. I’m working on it, but sometimes I’m just too excited!!! I have learned to walk nicely on a leash. I stick pretty close to either person walking with me and do well when the other dog here is walking with too, but prefer to be with my foster mom if it’s a group walk. I get scared though of other dogs out or on leashes and tend to get a little reactive. We are working on it, but it’s hard to get over that fear. The people here have learned that I am not a fan of my kennel. I won’t fight it when they leave since the other dog here is already in his, but I get very scared to be in there. At night I don’t have to go in there at all now. This makes me so happy and grateful that I curl up and don’t move all night until it’s time to get up in the morning. Sudden movements too close to me or someone reaching out makes me nervous and cower. I am a lot better than I used to be, but it’s still a work in progress. I’m hoping to find a home that can continue to be more relaxed and patient with me as I continue on this learning journey. I like to lay around and relax most of the time and content with watching the world go by in the yard or deck as mom is tending to her gardens. I am a fast runner and need to get that energy out sometimes, so a fenced yard where I can run or someone that will take me on adventures to get that energy out would be ideal. I love to curl up on the couch with either foster parent and just be with them. Are you ready to be my cuddle partner?       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 10, 2025, 7:15 am

Story
Age: Approximately 3 years old Weight: 72lbs Dog friendly: Yes, with proper introduction Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: When properly introduced Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Unknown ***FENCED YARD REQUIRED*** Hello! My name is Lewis but I am often called Lou If you are looking for a friend to watch whatever shows you want on tv I am your guy! If you are looking for someone that loves to chill on the couch with then I am your guy! If you are looking for someone to take walks with or even go for a jog with them I am also your guy as I love to go on walks! I love my humans and get attached to them, so it would be best if I was your one and only fur baby! I do like kids but have never been around real little kids so you may have to watch that I don’t knock them over as I would feel bad. I would love to be with someone who isn’t gone all the time as I will miss them so much. I roam free when my humans are gone and do fine with that, although I do have a habit of counter surfing so its best if you do not leave any food on the counter for me to snack on. I am told that I am the sweetest boy and would love to find my forever home so you can see that too. Lou Adoption Fee: $495
