Story
Oh, hello there! My name is Dorothy, and unlike Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, I’m not trying to get back to Kansas, I’m trying to find my forever home! I’m a sweet and playful girl who loves people. When people give me love and attention, I give it right back with lots of kisses. My favorite things are making new friends, belly rubs and of course, cuddles! I have a good ‘play-nap balance’ so I love running off my zoomies, but this girl loves nap time, too. So if you’re looking for a loving and playful best friend, look no further. They say there’s no place like home… and I think my home might be with you!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $500To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Hi there, my future best friend! I’m Tin Man and I know what you’re thinking, but don’t worry, I know I have a heart and it’s huge! I love everyone I meet and you will know with all of the affection I give. I’m a sweet, playful boy with an obsession for treats. I’m happiest when I’m meeting new friends, playing with toys, and cuddling. I’d love a home where I can play and get lots of belly rubs. Is that too much to ask? I know that I’d make a great addition to any family and if you’re looking for the perfect mix of playful and affection, just follow the yellow brick road straight to me!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi! I’m Taytum! I’m brand new to Minnesota and I’m looking for my perfect humans. I have just recently made the long journey here with my sister, Tate. We were living on our own together on the streets and some people found us and said that they were going to help us find forever homes. For now, I’m staying with a foster family and let me tell you- life is good! I have a foster mom, dad, two human brothers (ages 8 and 10) and two foster-pup sisters. When I first came here, I missed my sister a lot, but thankfully the two resident dogs here welcomed me and we run and play all over the yard! I really like having another dog with me to show me around and help me gain confidence. I get along with all the people in my house now that I’ve warmed up and learned to trust them. They’re so nice to me and even though I was nervous at first, now I’m comfortable to jump up on the couch and ask for pets. Sometimes they give me snacks called “cheese” and “chicken” and I can say with confidence that it is so much better than anything I ever found in Alabama. I have also discovered so many things I never even knew existed! Couches?! A comfy dog bed just for me?! Toys?! TREATS?!! Holy buckets, I missed out on a lot for the first 9 months of my life but I’m catching on and catching up on the good life. Because I’m brand new to domesticated life, I’m still learning all the things. I think I have the “go potty outside” stuff down. I have only ever gone potty outside, and I’ve gotten the hang of waiting by the door when I want to go out. That’s pretty easy. I don’t mind my kennel. I enjoy some treats to get me in there, but I’m totally chill once I’m in it and I think it feels safe and cozy. I sleep in there all night and when my people have to leave the house during the day. The leash walking thing is something I don’t totally understand. Like, I get that you want to exercise, but I just really love running free in the backyard. I think maybe if we get some more treats worked into the process, with practice- I’ll be a good walker. I’m looking for my forever family to bring me home and teach me all I need to know to be a good dog. I am loveable, playful, loyal, and eager to learn. Are you looking for a good sidekick who will always be there for a snuggle… or roll in the dirt with you (if you so choose)? --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi there! My name is Tate, and I’m a southern belle who recently traded an uncertain future for a life of fun and adventures with people who love me...and I love them too! Before coming to Minnesota, I was found wandering in the woods in Alabama with my sister...we were just trying to survive one day at a time. Luckily, some kind people helped us get safe, cleaned up, and cared for. Before long, we were on our way north to start a brand-new chapter with families of our own. I miss my sister, but my foster-sister is fun (and a good teacher!).Minnesota is definitely different, but I think I’m settling in pretty well. There are so many new smells to investigate, squirrels to supervise, and places to explore. I’ve already learned that Minnesotans really love being outside, and honestly, I think I fit right in. Whether it’s relaxing on the patio, riding in the car, or stretching out on the couch (or your bed) after a busy day, I’m happiest when I’m near my people. My family says I’m sweet, curious, and a super soft. I like following people from room to room just to make sure they don’t get lonely...though stairs (especially wooden ones) freak me out a little. I’m also an expert-level observer..if you open a snack, squeak a toy, or even think about going for a walk, I will know immediately. I know that outside is the place to do "my business," and I have no problems with that!I’m still young, so I have lots of puppy energy mixed with times where I suddenly become extremely sleepy. I love meeting people, getting scratches behind my ears, and curling up where I can keep an eye on everyone. And treats? Yes, please!!!I'm not a big fan of going into a crate, but I can do it if I have to. My foster family made me a soft, warm, and safe place all my own in their laundry room, so I'm perfectly comfortable in there when they're gone.Even though I came a long way from Alabama, Minnesota is starting to feel like home. I may not have been born here, but I think I’m becoming a pretty good Minnesota dog — one walk, one nap, and one treat at a time. Ya'll betcha! How's that for an "Alabamasotan" accent?--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. I’m a sweet, playful boy who loves making new friends, chasing toys, and being wherever the people are. One minute I’m zooming around with my siblings, and the next I’m finding the perfect nap spot. I’m a sweet, affectionate boy and I’m always ready for fun, cuddles, and snack time. Seriously, if you have treats, you’re automatically my favorite. I’ll happily show off my puppy skills or do extra training for a sweet treat. I love to play but playtime is over, I turn into a total cuddle bug. I love to soak up all of the attention and cuddles that I can. Yes, they named me Scarecrow, but I’m not scary at all, I’m harmless. I mean, come on, I’m tiny! Hi, I’m Walnut! I’m a 4-year-old, house-trained guy who loves my people big time. Once I bond with you, I’m yours. I like to be where you are and be part of whatever’s going on.I’m a smart boy and thrive when someone gives me good leadership. I’m not crate trained, but I do well in the home with consistency. My favorite things? Playing ball, running fast, and having space to stretch my legs. After I’ve gotten my energy out, I’m a professional-level snuggler. Couch time with my person is the best.I’m looking for a home with kids ages 12 and up. Little ones just aren’t my thing. I can be selective with other dogs — I like some, not all — so slow introductions are important. I might be happiest as your one-and-only so I can soak up all your attention. I’m not sure how I do with cats.I can be a bit vocal and like to keep an eye on my surroundings. I’ll do best with someone who understands that I need consistency, exercise, and clear boundaries. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a running buddy, and a serious cuddle companion… I might be your guy.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned.
