Story
Spot’s journey is one of survival, resilience, and a heart that chose love despite a difficult beginning. Spot has only one eye but a huge heart. As a young puppy, Spot was found abandoned in a flooded ditch in Western Louisiana alongside his littermates. They were starving, neglected, and covered in fleas—left in a place no puppy should ever know. Yet even in those harsh conditions, Spot’s gentle and trusting nature began to shine through. Now 10 months old and weighing about 70 pounds, Spot has grown into a healthy, happy hound mix who is ready for his forever home. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, and has stayed current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Spot is housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs. He loves people of all kinds but truly lights up around children, greeting them with pure joy and a wagging tail. He’s a smart boy who enjoys learning and being part of a family. Incredibly friendly, affectionate, and full of happiness, Spot is the kind of dog who turns everyday moments into something special. From a flooded ditch to a hopeful future, Spot has already overcome so much. Now all he needs is a forever family to give him the love, safety, and home he has always deserved.

Story
Patches’ story begins in heartbreak—but it quickly turns into one filled with hope, joy, and endless love. As a tiny puppy, Patches was found dumped in a flooded ditch in Western Louisiana along with her littermates. They were starving, neglected, and covered in fleas, left in conditions no puppy should ever face. Yet even in those frightening early days, Patches showed a spark of resilience and a gentle spirit that refused to be dimmed. Now just 10 months old and weighing around 30 pounds, Patches has blossomed into a happy, healthy hound mix with so much love to give. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and heartworm negative—ready for a bright future. She’s housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs. Patches adores people of all ages, but she has a special soft spot for kids, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and an open heart. Patches is a smart girl who loves to learn and thrives on companionship. She’s incredibly friendly, affectionate, and full of that joyful puppy energy that makes every day a little brighter. Whether she’s trotting happily by your side on a walk or curling up for cuddles, Patches reminds you how powerful love and second chances can be. From a flooded ditch to a hopeful tomorrow, Patches has overcome so much in her short life. All she needs now is a forever family to call her own—one who will cherish her the way she has always deserved.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Well hello new friend, it is nice to meet you! My name is Fallon and I am a special boy looking for a special home! You see when I was a puppy, something went a little wrong in my body and I have been urinary incontinent since. We tried shots and medication but nothing worked. The vet said there could be a surgery available but the odds of it working weren't good and it was risky. So now I still go outside to go to the bathroom, but I "drip" when I am in the house. It is not my fault as I am a really good boy! I wear a male wrap with a pad on and I am SO good at wearing it! When we come back in the house from being outside, I know to wait for my wrap to be put on and then go play. My foster parents just say "Fallon you are naked" and I come right to them for my band. My pad just gets changed when it has urine in it, which isn't all the time, and my wrap needs to be washed every so often to stay clean.   If that didn't scare you away, look at how handsome I am! I do so great in the car, I love the resident dogs and all the other foster dogs that come and go. I have no food or treat aggression as there is enough to go around. I love to snuggle with the other dogs and when my foster mom sits on the couch, I will jump right in her lap to snuggle and watch TV. I enjoy playing outside and I run all over the backyard like the silly and goofy boy I am! I am kennel trained and don't mind my kennel at all! I love to play with toys and chew on antlers. I am a healthy boy who is up to date with all my vaccines, I take my heartworm prevention, and I get my flea/tick meds monthly. I do love my foster mom and dad, but it would be great to have my own forever home with another dog to play with! Could that be with you? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Elsie and I am a Lab/Terrier X  with a DOB of 10/22/22 (approx. 50lbs). I am a native to Minnesota where I was found roaming the streets in St Paul. Animal Control was kind enough to give me a lift as I thought it was to my home, but it was to the nearest doggie jail where no one claimed me.   I would like to mention a few characteristics I have that make me stand out from the doggie crowd. -  I hop like a bunny around the yard. -  I patrol the yard for squirrels, rabbits & cats. No one gets past this girl’s watchful eye. -  I am non-reactive with other dogs – I just want to play with them. -  I have a 4’ 5” vertical jump.  6’ fence is required as I am escape artist. -  I Pounce on tennis balls while I play with them. I like to ride a shotgun when it comes to car rides. They make a doggie seat belt as I have been told and I guess that should be used for any car rides in the future. I am learning not to dash out the door when it’s open.  I’m just very excited to follow my foster mom wherever she goes. I love toys, but I don’t share them with other animals. You just need to take all my toys, hide them and I can play with other dogs in harmony.  I have been known to escape my kennel. Because of this I now have my own “No Break Kennel”. This now keeps me out of trouble when I’m home alone. I am not a fan of the kennel, but I settle down quickly.   I tend to pull on the leash, so my foster mom bought me a hot pink gentle leader (I'm the prettiest girl on the block now) and is teaching me basic commands such as heal and stay for starters. I can back out of a regular flat collar so a martingale collar/leash is also best to add while out on walks. I have to say, so far so good as I do enjoy my walks in the neighborhood.  I am still working on potty training and am taking Proin daily to help with some urinary incontinence. It has really helped but we are still figuring things out. I may pee on my dog bed at night so investing in a washable bed is a good idea! What kind of home would do best for me: -  Active home that can release my spirited energy and have dog stimulation toys. -  I am food motivated and this works great for training. -  Be patient as I am still young and learning. -  Love me with all your heart as I will do the same.      Are you my forever home?      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sam is a yellow lab mix who came from Missouri in search of his forever home. His former owner passed away and none of the family members were able to keep him. Sam is a quiet dog who is house-trained. Sam’s favorite time is when he can sit by his foster family, just being pet or having a tummy rub. He loves his humans; he follows his foster family from room to room, even sleeping on a mat in their bedroom. Sam hasn't spent time in a kennel in his foster home because they don’t have one that fits him. You see, Sam is quite overweight. He is now on a weight management program that includes low calorie dog food and several walks per day. Sam loves these walks and is excellent on a leash. He would love more treats but that isn’t currently in the program. He came to rescue weighing 138 pounds, and he's already making progress toward a healthy weight. His family should be committed to continuing his healthy lifestyle changes.  Sam lives with three other dogs in his foster home. Sam is the dog that will stand back and not push an issue. He is calm and submissive. He hasn't been around cats while in foster care.  Sam doesn't bark or jump on new humans when they come visit his foster home. He's a mellow dog looking for a family to love him and rub his belly. If you are looking for a companion who is loving and low key, Sam is your dog.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal?
