Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Elsie and I am a Lab/Terrier X  with a DOB of 10/22/22 (approx. 50lbs). I am a native to Minnesota where I was found roaming the streets in St Paul. Animal Control was kind enough to give me a lift as I thought it was to my home, but it was to the nearest doggie jail where no one claimed me.   I would like to mention a few characteristics I have that make me stand out from the doggie crowd. -  I hop like a bunny around the yard. -  I patrol the yard for squirrels, rabbits & cats. No one gets past this girl’s watchful eye. -  I am non-reactive with other dogs – I just want to play with them. -  I have a 4’ 5” vertical jump.  6’ fence is required as I am escape artist. -  I Pounce on tennis balls while I play with them. I like to ride a shotgun when it comes to car rides. They make a doggie seat belt as I have been told and I guess that should be used for any car rides in the future. I am learning not to dash out the door when it’s open.  I’m just very excited to follow my foster mom wherever she goes. I love toys, but I don’t share them with other animals. You just need to take all my toys, hide them and I can play with other dogs in harmony.  I have been known to escape my kennel. Because of this I now have my own “No Break Kennel”. This now keeps me out of trouble when I’m home alone. I am not a fan of the kennel, but I settle down quickly.   I tend to pull on the leash, so my foster mom bought me a hot pink gentle leader (I'm the prettiest girl on the block now) and is teaching me basic commands such as heal and stay for starters. I can back out of a regular flat collar so a martingale collar/leash is also best to add while out on walks. I have to say, so far so good as I do enjoy my walks in the neighborhood.  I am still working on potty training and am taking Proin daily to help with some urinary incontinence. It has really helped but we are still figuring things out. I may pee on my dog bed at night so investing in a washable bed is a good idea! What kind of home would do best for me: -  Active home that can release my spirited energy and have dog stimulation toys. -  I am food motivated and this works great for training. -  Be patient as I am still young and learning. -  Love me with all your heart as I will do the same.      Are you my forever home?      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Are you looking for a new best friend? Well, your search is over! My name is Frankie, and I’ve been waiting for that special someone. I’ve been told I’m really sweet and handsome too. I will need a little extra time to trust, but I promise if you give me a chance you won’t regret it. Meet Frankie – Your future walking buddy and life tour guide. Frankie’s two favorite things are treats and walks. He will sit nicely for treats, and he walks well on leash. Walking with Frankie is fun! And if given the opportunity he will pick his route for where is wants to explore. Frankie has a plan for his adventure, and he wants to share it with you. He prefers walking off road so put on those hiking shoes. Frankie proudly carries his toy in his mouth on ALL his walks. Heads turn. Smiles bloom. Strangers stop mid-conversation just to say, Aww!” Frankie takes a little time to warm up to new folks – think of it as earning a VIP pass to his inner circle. Once he feels safe, be ready for him to melt your heart when he stares into your eyes and gives you kisses. Frankie deserves all your love and prefers to be the one and only pet in your home. His only real nemesis are delivery trucks. Yup, he’s been informed they bring treats, but he’s still suspicious of their sneaky ways. We respect his skepticism.Sweet and handsome Frankie has been waiting for his forever for way too long. So, if you’re ready for a walking buddy with charm, character, and strong opinions about mail carriers? Frankie’s your guy! Like he mentioned earlier, you won’t regret it.

Story
Moses Moses is a Big hunk O Love on three legs. He's had a rough start in life: starving, dumped with mange and a broken leg with exposed bone. Rescue changed his life and he thinks he won the lottery. His leg was amputated, his mange healed and Regular meals took care of the starvation. He appreciates getting Zertec every day to help his eyes not water from mild allergies. It's an effective solution! Moses is a good looking dog with a personality to match. He's a big, silly guy, close to 80 pounds, preferring to go potty while lifting his back leg. Pretty standard stuff for a boy dog but Moses only has one back leg. He's a born acrobat! Moses is a well behaved guy, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and Neutered. He also does fine with other dogs and adores attention. He'll be a wonderful family addition. To meet him, apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org. His adoption fee is $450. ##2420961##

Story
Hi, I’m Johnny – I may look like a Lab-Boxer mix, but in my heart, I’m 100% lap dog – just ask anyone who’s ever sat down near me. I’m 3 years old and my interests include giving cuddles and staring into your soul until you give me treats (it works every time). I was found wandering the streets of Hastings and have been hanging out at the shelter waiting for my forever family. So…got a couch? Got snacks? Let’s meet, you sound perfect!Meet Johnny – Your future snack connoisseur and aspiring lap dog. He is the cuddle champion with the most soulful eyes you’ve ever seen. Fun-sized floof missile (okay, medium-large, but don’t tell him that). A certified snuggle expert who thinks “personal space” is a suggestion…and not a very good one. This goofy boy lives for belly rubs and couch cuddles. He’s got enough love to warm your whole house – and then some. Now, full disclosure, Johnny has a habit of taste-testing things he probably shouldn’t…particularly tissues. But hey, he’s just helping you become a tidier person! He can not go to a home with chidlren. He walks great on leash, but let’s be real – his true passion is lounging like royalty by your side. A walk is just the warm-up for his main event: couch cuddles and snack sessions. Are you are looking for an affection dispenser on four legs? A world-class snack enthusiast who will never judge you on your snack choices – yours, his, mystery crumbs on the floor? Then Johnny is your guy. He’s waiting to steal your heart and maybe your spot on the couch.
