Are you a lady who lives alone or maybe it is just you and your dog who would love to have a sister dog?  Our girl Sister Sybil,  loves to play and buddy up with other dogs.  She also would make a great guard dog for a lady who may live alone.  Sybil is not a barker unless an unfamiliar person shows up at your door and she is ready to warn you.  She hides from children, not aggressive to them at all, just unsure of children, so she avoids and hides from them.  She is a sweet baby girl who loves to cuddle, give kisses, run after a ball and just be close to her person.  She is house trained but will need a fenced yard when let out to potty.   She doesn’t have recall to just come back in. Our sweet Sister Sybil might be shy at first but she is submissive being a beagle/bulldog breed with brindle leg stockings that are beautiful. She is one and a half year old weighing around 35 pounds. When she knows that you love her and she understands that you just want to be kind to her she will be all about you. She has a unique little underbite that gives her a special smile and She has gold splashes on her feet, legs and undercoat as though she was splashed with God’s special paint brush. We received a call for help, this person had more then 20 animals on his property, adults and puppies he needed food and to get the girls fixed. A local spay/neuter clinic helped with spay/neuter, rabies and heartworm testing. All the adults were taken back to the owner and he is given dog food to help with feeding them. We were able to take in some of the young pups, had them heartworm tested (which was negative) spay/neutered all vaccines and microchipped. We took the puppies hoping they would be heartworm negative and they are. Since having them here we have had to work with them to learn to trust us, at first they will be a little nervous but give them time and they will fill your heart. They are crate trained, but not house broken. If you have a big heart and would like to give these puppies a chance, please email BakerBridgeRescue@aol.com and ask for an application, we would love to talk with you in detail about each pup. Once approved, we will call you. We transport every other week to a location near you with the most animal friendly transport - Rescue Riders Transport.

Meet our handsome Beagle boy named Jackson! This full of life young 2-year-old is 30 pounds and full of curiosity and the desire to investigate everything in the backyard with that Beagle nose of his. Jackson has blossomed into such a wonderful boy that loves people and adores playing with the other dogs. He thoroughly enjoys his foster mom's dogs and really needs another doggie playmate to help him stay busy and entertained in a fenced backyard. He will potty outside when taken outside, and he uses pee pads inside. He could easily transition to going only outside with praise and treats. He is a smart dog. Jackson wants to be with his people or another dog --- he doesn't want to be left totally alone.  He regularly comes up to us now for belly rubs and petting.  He is a sweet dog who is wonderful with our 23-month-old granddaughter.  He needs a fenced yard as most beagles will follow their noses anywhere. Jackson is the whole package: handsome, playful, affectionate. Hello My name is Lady and I am roughly 2 years old. My story starts wandering up to a house and the kind people took me in and fed me. It just so happened this family were fosters for the local rescue. They posted pictures of me everywhere and I was never claimed. Then 3 weeks later I had puppies. All my puppies have been raised and I am spayed. So that chapter is over! I am a very sweet natured girl and very loving. I live indoors all day with several other dogs and cats in the house. I do love to run and play outdoors. My foster mom usually takes us pups for walks on the leash, which I love. Can’t forget I have been around kids also. I will get grouchy if other animals come in my space while eating, but humans are okay. I love all the dogs I currently live with but when I meet new dogs I am a grouch. Overall I am a really good family dog ,would excel if all the attention was on me only. One of my pups had a DNA test and there was beagle and jack Russell in his report. I think that sounds like a good description of me. Now its time to pick out my forever family. Fill out an application today! I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. Ricky Ricardo’s story is a sad one. You see this sweet 4yr old beagle mix was in a shelter he was adopted, but his person failed him. We are not sure exactly what happened after he left the shelter other than he was found 200 miles away from the adopter's home in a starved and skin and bones condition.  The “owner” claimed he ran away 2 weeks previously, but a dog does not end up with such weight loss in that short 2 weeks amount of time. The owner gave up Ricky to the rescue so we could work diligently in finding the perfect, most loving forever home for him. Things about Ricky:At his first vet appt he weighed only 22.5lbs! He has since gained weight in our custody and is now 28lbs.  Ricky is a spunky beagle mix and will require a 6ft fence as he can jump over anything shorter. *No underground fences* He Can Not go loose as he will get to tracking a scent and won’t come back! He loves car rides and is great with other dogs. He is NOT good with cats or small animals. He would be good in a home with children over 10yrs old. Ricky is crate trained, neutered and up to date with all vetting. He will bark to let you know he has to go out to potty and bark to let you know when he’s ready to come in. Momma Lilly is a 4 year old, 30 pound Beagle girl that was found at a garbage dump in a rural area of TN.  A truly good person took her home with them and soon realized she was pregnant and they were not willing to see her through to give birth.  All her babies were born by C-section and Oh my what an adventure that birth was.  Momma Lilly is ready to have her own life now and hoping soon to go to a new forever home. For what Lilly has been through in her life as  she is the sweetest, most loving, beautiful little girl.  She loves her people, loves kids and is wonderful with other dogs. She walks like a runway model Beagle on a leash.  She is also crate trained and is doing so well on housebreaking and is on a schedule. She is looking for a home where she can be treated like a queen.
