Story
Meet Poncho, a 3-year-old male Beagle mix.Poncho is just what you would expect. He has a vocal opinion about things around him and loves to converse with you about it. Poncho has been very social with staff, he loves treats and has been good with the other dog that he met. This pet is available for adoption on 4/25/24 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing this sweet guy, Wishbone! He is a 4-year-old, 22lb Beagle/Siberian Husky mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Wishbone is an awesome little guy who will make an amazing addition to any lucky household. He walks well on leash and loves to go on adventures. He is treat motivated, which will be great for training purposes. Wishbone is an active dog and will thrive in a home that can handle his energy and bounciness. He plays well with others and would be a great additional dog to a home or be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. He is a high jumper and will require a tall fence and good handling. We recommend no small children or dog-savvy children as he is still learning some manners and can be bouncy. Wishbone is so loving and has one of the softest coats and amazing eyes! Wishbone is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Hello ! My name is Spades, this may be bragging a little, but I think I would be your perfect companion! Let me tell you a little about myself, and you can see for yourself! I even made a list of all my great qualities for you #1: I am very people friendly and I am always so excited meeting anyone new. I even let these silly people put a cowboy hat on me, I mean how many dogs would put up with that?! I would love to join you on all your adventures ! #2 I am a great companion to other dogs. I take my title of "police dog" very seriously, and will give corrections to a new dog if they are being too pushy with play. We all just have to get along right?! I love to play chase with my dog friends though. I am good with dogs of all sizes. I can be very playful but also chill when I have had enough. #3: I could probably live with a cat! Although I haven't lived with a cat, I met one at the rescue! I didn't really care to interact with the cat, but why would you when there are people around! #4 . I really am just about the perfect size and age. I am only a year old, but already potty trained ! Being around 20 lbs I can do hikes and walks without getting tired, but am a very manageable size. My girlish figure is in tip top shape if I do say so myself. I would do best in a home with a yard to run around and play in. Although have some leash manners to learn ( I just like to go pull to see all the people and dogs to go play with, who can blame me really?) I would even do great in a busy home with people coming in and out because I am so people friendly and absolutely loves people. Given my breed of beagle mix, I can be a little vocal, so no apartments for me. Please email jacquelynn@threelittlepittiesrescue.org if you have any questions about me , she would be happy to answer ! I hope we meet soon! Sincerely, Spades Application link : https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6616c779a655e5a1390c23df Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport.
