Story
Jojo is being fostered in Illinois. Has some vision.Hi. My name is Jojo. I am a 4-year-old boxer mix. I like to think of myself as a playful happy-go-lucky gal. I may not see you well because close objects are like shadows and a little blurry to me, but I know you are there. I get along well with all the cats and dogs in my foster home. I like cats (see https://youtu.be/t_3b0r0n9LY ). But I may need slow introductions with little feisty dogs. But I would love to go to a home that has many friendly 4-legged buddies.I like to be active and meet people and other dogs (see https://youtu.be/9LG4Cy9_kJI ). However, I am not too good with children because a lot of time kids either approach me too fast or gather around me, which makes me so scared that I have to give a warning snap. But I do love my walks. Even more, I love an open field that I can have all to myself so I can let out a lot of my energy (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nWkm8OssZU ). At home, I like to relax and sit at my spot while my foster daddy is doing his work. Everyday, I get to be petted and it makes me feel loved (see https://youtu.be/Y_-7FDicj-M ).I am housebroken. However, every once in a while, I have accidents because anxiety gets the best of me when I realize my foster dad has not been home for a while. I will do well in a home where someone is present 90-95 percent of time, perhaps with someone who works out of home or is an active retired person.Blind Dog Rescue has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.* This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, September 5th from 12–3 PM (unless adopted prior to the event). All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.   Adoption fee: $650   Meet Hi-C — A Refreshing Reason to Fall in Love Born in the shelter but raised in the safety of our rescue to adorable Mama Sunny D, a petite, low-rider Pittie mix, Hi-C has spent his entire life surrounded by love, good care, and plenty of opportunities to grow into a confident, happy pup. Now, at 13 weeks old and weighing somewhere around 25 pounds, he's ready to trade the nursery for a forever home. His days begin bright and early around 7 a.m. with a potty break outside before digging into his favorite Nulo puppy breakfast. Since growing puppies work up quite an appetite, he enjoys meals every 3–4 hours throughout the day before spending his time doing what puppies do best: playing, wrestling, exploring, collecting toys, greeting visitors, and occasionally crashing for an adorable nap. He spends his days roaming the barn with plenty of enrichment and has been raised alongside adult dogs and cats, making him a respectful housemate in the making. By about 9 p.m., he's happily tucked into bed after another adventure-filled day. Hi-C: Big Heart, Big Paws, Big Personality Hi-C is a sturdy little guy with a playful spirit and endless confidence — and every pound of him is sweetness. Whether he's chasing toys, exploring the barn, or making new human friends, Hi-C approaches everything with joy. He's quick to say hello when visitors arrive and loves being right in the middle of the action. If you're looking for a puppy who's equal parts goofy playmate and loyal best friend, Hi-C is ready for the job. Looking for a Little Refreshment? Like all young puppies, Hi-C will need a family committed to positive training, socialization, patience, and lots of love as he grows into a wonderful adult dog. In return, you'll get years of laughter, loyal companionship, and a best friend who's guaranteed to brighten every season — not just summer. August 30, 2026, 11:27 am

Story
Hey there! I’m Ginny and I’m here to bring all the fun and silliness your way! I’m a playful, wiggly little ball of joy, always ready to bounce around and make you laugh. I might trip over my own paws sometimes (oops!), but that’s just part of my charm. I love to play, snuggle, and spend time with my favorite humans. I’ll need a little training to become the best girl I can be, but with my big heart and eagerness to learn, I’ll be by your side every step of the way. Ready for some fun? Let’s make some great memories together! Surf`s Up at SVACA! As part of the Clear the Shelters campaign, we will be reducing my adoption fee to $25 from August 1-31! For more information contact the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA) at 408-764-0344 or visit www.svaca.com.

Story
Hi, I'm Stax! I'm a 1.5-year-old Boxer mix who is sweet, fun, and full of affection.•I love spending time with my people and am always ready to bring some playful energy, happy tail wags, and companionship to the day.•I do have a congenital heart condition that doesn't currently affect my day-to-day life, but it may shorten my lifespan. Surgery is an option for me, and I'd love a family who is willing to explore that possibility with their veterinary team.•Whether surgery is part of my future or not, I'm looking for someone who will cherish me for however much time I have and fill my days with love, fun, and all the good things a dog could ask for.•If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion and are ready to make the most of every day together, I may be your guy! 🐾Stax is currently in a Foster Home, but if you would like to meet him, please contact our adoptions team at customercare@eastbayspca.org! Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:6Ezekiel is a 10-month-old boxer weighing 65 pounds. He is a sweet, sensitive puppy who's still learning that the world can be a safe place. Everything is a little overwhelming right now, but with patience and kindness, this gentle boy has all the potential to blossom into the happy, confident companion he's meant to be. He'll thrive with experienced adopters who can let him settle in at his own pace and celebrate the little victories along the way. A quiet adult home with a confident resident dog would be a wonderful fit, helping Ezekiel build confidence and discover all the joys of being a puppy. He would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home. August 30, 2026, 11:47 am
