Story
My name is Abby, and I would like to introduce you to my fabulous, I mean FABULOUS self. I am a gorgeous 9-year-old supermodel looking for a new family to fawn over me. Once you see how gorgeous I am (just ask my foster mom, she seriously will not stop taking pictures of me!) I am sure you will understand why I would love a family of my own without other cats (or dogs, um, EEW!). Because let’s face it, no other cat can compare to me! I am a reserved girl and super low maintenance. I love hanging out in my cat cave but most any hidey hole will do! I also enjoy spending time with my foster mom; she gives excellent belly rubs! I don’t really play with toys. I am far too mature for that nonsense. The only thing I REALLY ask for is a big litter box. The bigger the better! Go big or go home I always say! Oh wait, I do ask for one more thing. I have a little bit of a sensitive tummy, but my foster mom has discovered that I do really well on fish. All fish all the time. Ideally tuna. But I can’t have tuna every meal, a girl has to live a little! And well, I AM a cat after all. Please submit an application for me right now. I can’t wait to meet you! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Hi there, I’m Cola—a spunky little tuxedo girl, about 10 months old, with a heart full of love and a spirit that never quits. I was found living in a barn, and at first, my finder and foster mom thought something might be wrong with my eyes. They were right—sort of! An eye specialist confirmed that while I can see changes in light, I can’t really see shapes. But you’d never guess that if you watched me zoom after toys, leap up on the couch, or make a beeline for my food dish. I’ve got everything figured out in my own special way, and I don’t let anything slow me down. I'm not special needs—but I am something really special. I’ll greet you with my sweet meows, purr like a little engine, and love you with my whole heart. I just need someone kind and patient who’ll let me shine. Because I can’t quite keep tabs on other cats around me, I’d prefer to be your one and only fur baby. I can’t watch my back—but I’ll always have yours. Will you be my person? All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Born in March 2025, Joni is equal parts playful spirit and independent thinker — she definitely marches to the beat of her own drum. Joni loves to chase toys, wrestle with her foster buddy Cash (her “brother from another mother”), and explore her world with confidence and curiosity. While she and Cash aren’t bonded, they’re great friends and would love to find a home together — or separately, as long as there’s another playful feline companion to keep her company. Joni is looking for an adopter who appreciates a cat with personality — someone who will celebrate her independent streak while giving her the love, playtime, and space she needs to shine. If you’re looking for a confident, one-of-a-kind kitten with a flair for fun, Joni might just be your perfect match! Story
Meet Uncle Rico – The Charismatic Purr Machine! ?? Born in May 2025, Uncle Rico is the life of the party and a total sweetheart! He’s a walking purr machine who loves his food and enjoys being the center of attention. While he’s not the biggest fan of being held, he absolutely adores pets and affection — he just likes to keep things on his own terms. Uncle Rico shares his foster home with Tina, and the two of them have a blast playing together, especially with the wand toy. They would like to be adopted together. If you’re looking for a social, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining companion, Uncle Rico is ready to win your heart (and probably steal your snacks)! Story
Asha is a gorgeous one-year-old gray beauty with a sweet disposition and a lot to say! This lovely girl loves a good chat and will happily keep you company with her gentle chirps and meows throughout the day. She’s an easygoing housemate with perfect litter box manners and a curious spirit — when she arrived at her foster home, she explored every nook and cranny like she owned the place. Once her curiosity is satisfied, you’ll likely find her curled up for a nap on her favorite spot (the biggest sofa in the house, naturally — she has excellent taste!). Asha prefers to graze on her food throughout the day, and while she mostly eats dry food, she also enjoys the occasional treat of cooked chicken. If you’re looking for a sweet, talkative companion who brings warmth and personality to every room, Asha just might be your girl. Story
Violin is about 4 years old and sports a stunning tortoiseshell coat that perfectly matches her bold personality. Violin loves attention—especially pets. All visitors should be aware that petting her is mandatory. No exceptions. She’s more than happy to sleep at the end of the bed so she can collect her morning pets the moment her humans wake up. She could coexist with another cat in the home, but kittens are a hard no. In Violin’s professional opinion, any furball under four pounds is deeply annoying and deserving of nothing but contempt. Don’t even think about trying to sneak a kitten past her—her foster family can confirm that Violin has an impressive internal “cat age radar” and knows exactly when another cat meets her four-pound requirement. Violin believes in positive reinforcement for humans. When her name is called, she rewards her people by rolling onto her back and placing a paw dramatically over her face. It’s impossible not to fall in love. Interested in learning more or adopting Violin? Fill out a no-obligation cat adoption application, and the humans who work for her (also known as HSLC volunteers) will take it from there. The application can be found at: https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ Thanks to a generous sponsor, Violin’s adoption fee is waived! She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.
