Story
Meet Atticus – Our Gentle Gray Tuxedo ExplorerAtticus is a sweet gray tuxedo boy with a bit of a mysterious past. He arrived through one of our rescue partners, and while we’re still learning his quirks, one thing is already clear: he is a gentle soul with a lot of love to give.Atticus can be shy when you first meet him, but with a patient, understanding adopter, he blossoms into a confident, affectionate companion. He just needs someone willing to give him the time and space to settle in and show his true personality.Atticus is positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which means his adopter should be mindful of his health and provide regular veterinary care. Many FIV-positive cats live long, happy, healthy lives—and Atticus is no exception. He can even live with other friendly cats.Once he trusts you, Atticus becomes incredibly sweet. One of our volunteers shared:“Atticus at West Ox… lap cat extraordinaire and brave explorer of the cat room.”If you’ve got a soft spot for handsome gray tuxedo boys with tender hearts, come in and meet Atticus. He might just be your perfect match. This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 14 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. Story
Rayo is a gentle and timid little soul seeking a patient and loving home. He needs time to get to know new people, spaces, and to come out of his shell. Approach Rayo with a soft voice and let him sniff your hands. He is sure to come around given a fair chance! Rayo came to the shelter with two other cats because their owner was moving and could not take them along. He may do well in a home with other confident, friendly feline companions if given a thoughtful and slow introduction. Are you the one to give Rayo the love and confidence he needs to thrive? Come meet and adopt sweet Rayo, today! If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Michael R. Story
Tito is a pure bred Ragdoll boy we are thrilled to have in our rescue. He was obviously owned by a family at one time but sadly left abandoned on the street. We think Tito is a young adult. Gorgeous fur and coloring. He has been out and about playing with his foster friends. Loves attention and to be doted on. Tito does fine with female cats but can be a bit territorial with big type A cats. Most other males he is fine with. We would like to see Tito in a home experienced with the Ragdoll breed and/or long haired cats. Grooming and maintaining long fur needs to be kept up. Fostered in Fairfax, VA
