If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Alfred, or “Alfie” for short, is a sweet chi mix whose little life didn’t get off to a great start and is still working on trusting his surroundings.  He loves to play with other dogs his own size and after a good romp will curl up in the same bed for naptime together.  While he is wary of new people, he is quickly learning that belly pets are kind of a great thing.  He has even learned that if he climbs the pet steps it leads to the foster’s comfy bed where he can snuggle right in! Due to his skittish temperament, it is recommended Alfie be placed in a home with children over the age of 10. Also, because of his deep connection with other dogs, Alfie NEEDS to be placed in a household with another canine friend. A few facts about Alfie: His favorite game is tug. Bring it on! He LOVES to snuggle….with other dogs and in cozy places.  We think with time and patience, he will actually be a real snuggle bug! Alfie comes to you housetrained.  No accidents!  He will bark when excited but is not overly vocal. While he isn’t afraid of a kennel, he is not considered kennel trained. Alfie has not been cat tested and his prey drive is unknown. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.  ##2641173##

Story
Meet Lucita (aka Lucy ) — your future snuggle buddy with a splash of sass! At 3 years old, Lucita is the perfect blend of playful and cozy. She’s a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her an easy addition to a multi-pet home. Originally from Mexico, Lucy is still acclimating to the cold, but she’s learning that sweaters, warm beds, and cuddling close to her people make chilly days much better. Lucy loves being near her humans and will happily follow you from room to room. She’s quiet in her kennel, working on potty training, and is eager to keep learning with a consistent routine. When playtime hits, her spunky and sassy personality shines—especially when she does her cute little hops to let you know she’s ready for fun. She can get a bit mouthy when she’s excited, so a home with older kids who understand dog boundaries would be best. Once she’s gotten her wiggles out, Lucy transforms into the ultimate couch companion and will snuggle up with you for a full movie marathon in bed without complaint. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts playful, affectionate, and loyal—Lucita might just be your perfect match.  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $450.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 24, 2026, 7:05 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Junior is a 2-year old Daschund that weighs about 11-12 lbs.    He originally is from Tijuana. Junior came to us very apprehensive but he has progressed so well, and easily wants love and attention, petting, and care.  Junior loves to go in and outside and loves to run around with another small dog. Junior loves to bark at squirrels! He is actually quite confident outside, strutting his small stuff, bossing the squirrels around. Junior is speedy, agile and athletic.  Junior loves sleeping in the bed at night with you! We are seeking a household that will let him sleep in the bed, it means a lot to him.  His foster home has a set of soft stairs that work great for him.  We are looking for a home for Junior, ideally with another small dog and a fenced in yard (if possible). We can assess a home without a fenced in yard, or another dog, but a home with another small dog and a fenced in yard would ring all the bells! Junior has been exposed to larger dogs and can co-mingle but will sometimes be intimidated by them and jump and snap at them if he feels threatened.  Junior is very precious. He loves to be near his caretaker and have fun with another small dog. He can be confident, and assertive and sometimes shy. He definitely looks to his caretaker for reassurance.  Junior is working on on housetraining, he is possibly 100% there or if not, at 80-90%, as long as he goes outside often and you give him some structure (crate when you are out).   If you would like to learn more about Junior, please submit an interest form on our website:    https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue  *Adoption fee for Junior is $650 + MN state tax* All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@8 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2026, 7:58 am

Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Hi there, I’m Captain Crumbs. Yes, the name is as cute as I am. I’m a 3-year-old dachshund and terrier mix with a gentle heart and a curious little spirit. I like to take my time getting to know new people, but give me just a few minutes and I’ll be your quiet, sweet companion. Once I warm up, I’m all about calm vibes and soft affection.I get along well with humans and other dogs, and I have a pretty easygoing, low energy personality. I’m the kind of guy who’s happy to hang out, explore a bit, and then settle in nearby. I’m crate trained and pretty smart too, if I do say so myself. I’m still working on my potty training, so I’ll need a patient human who can help me stick to a routine. I promise I’m trying, and I’ll get there with your help. I’m also currently heartworm positive, but I’m on the road to getting the care I need and will be worth every bit of love you give me. Now, I should mention I do have a curious side. If there’s a trash can or something interesting within reach, I might just go investigating. Keeping things picked up will help me stay out of trouble. I can also be a little vocal when I’m ready for meals or when I think it’s time to come out of my crate. I just like to make my needs known. I’ve only been in my foster home for a short time, so there’s still more to learn about me. But so far, everyone says I’m a really sweet, even tempered little guy who just needs a chance to settle in and feel safe. If you’re looking for a gentle, curious companion who will quietly steal your heart, I think we might be a perfect match. Captain Crumbs is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 05/01/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. ---- This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian.
