Circumstances beyond his control led him to need a new home, but he remains a resilient and loving companion. Although his age shows in his face, his joyous smile when happy is simply adorable, especially during his beloved walks. When Sammy arrived, he was a bit overweight, but he's diligently working on shedding those extra pounds. Surprisingly, he seems to be more successful in this endeavor than his foster mom. As we continue to bond with Sammy, we've noticed his deep affection for the 12-year-old child in the household. In fact his world brightens up when she is around and they are best buds. While he isn't particularly seeking play with other dogs, Sammy gets along harmoniously with them. He's been tested with cats, and their presence didn't seem to bother him. However, he does require a patient and understanding environment. During his initial days in his new surroundings, he experienced trembling, which was a recurring behavior from his previous home. Nevertheless, with a consistent daily routine and understanding, he's already showing significant improvements and has developed a love for exercise. Daily walks are crucial for Sammy—they keep his mind engaged and his bones toned. We're hoping to find a wonderful home that adores senior dogs and can provide him with a final, loving home for the rest of his life.
