Riley is a sweet girl! She is a 10 year old, 20 pound chihuahua mix. She came to Charming Pet Rescue after her human passed away. She arrived at the rescue with her two sisters, one brother and two cats.After losing her human, Riley is still getting used to her new environment. Riley is just now allowing for you to pet her. Riley will need time for you to gain her trust but she is making progress every day. Riley enjoys naps on the couch and rolling around outside in the grass. She is working on losing a few pounds. While her foster sisters and brother run around, she enjoys walking a few laps in the backyard following her foster mom.Riley is house trained and sleeps in her crate. She gets along well with the three dogs in the foster home. Hello, my name is Lola! I am a sweet boxer/ dachshund mix. I am approx. 3 years old and weigh about 25-30 lbs. I am very good with kids of all ages and has never met a stranger. I like other non- reactive dogs. I have not met a cat at this time. However, my rescue can cat test upon request! I am also housebroken but cannot be left out of my crate when no one is home because I will chew anything and everything in sight. I am currently eating Purina one but I also love boiled chicken, peas, or sweet potatoes. I do pull on my leash when walked, but, we are working on that. I cant wait to find my forever home! If you have a fenced in yard, that would be awesome because I need a lot of play time! I also love to play with toys! My rescue has made sure that I am UTD, microchipped, on a flea and tick and heartworm pill and spayed. Please reach out if you are interested. Thank you! Very handsome if I do say so.  Foster mom says that I am blossoming like the sweetest smelling flower. When I first got to my foster mama’s house I was a little scared and reserved but not anymore! Now it’s all tail wags and zoomies. Some of my favorite things are chasing squeaky balls, finding sticks in the yard, and playing with my foster brother. I love sitting on foster mama’s lap, laying out in the sun, going for walks, and, of course, eating! I’m still reserved and shy around new people but I have a strong and loving bond with my human family. Foster mom says it will be a must to continue to expose me to new people, places and sounds to help build by courage and social abilities. Foster mama and I are working hard on potty training and walking on a leash. I don’t need to have a fenced yard or another dog in the home if my people are home with me a lot. But it would be nice to have another small companion dog in the home to show me the ropes. Whenever foster mama leaves me to go out, or at night for bedtime, I go to an e-pen with an open crate. I am doing pretty well in there though I bark a little bit at night before settling in and sleeping all night like a champ. My perfect home would be where my people are home most of the time with me and there are no young kids as I am still unsettled by lots of commotion. I’ve never met a kitty cat so I just don’t know what I would think about that! Foster mama says that I am a hoot! She says I walk around like I’m late for a meeting, love to do zoomies, am always eager to be near her, think it is fun to run through the nearby fields, and often flop down to show my belly while wagging my tail at 100mph.  Once I’ve gotten some energy out, I’m happy to sleep next to her on the couch. She says I’m a little lovebug! And it’s all true!
