Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!

Talia is wonderful with other dogs and has been friendly with every person she’s met. She’s about 5 years old and currently weighs 16 pounds, though she should fill out closer to 20. With her adorable terrier-mix looks and likely a dozen breeds in her background, she’s the perfect little mystery pup. Talia is gentle, loving, and so ready for a fresh start. She is fully housetrained and so far does well in the crate. She walks ok on leash. She’s working on not weaving/pulling. She isn't strongly food motivated, but she is highly motivated by praise and head scratches. She is working on basic commands and learning quickly! Maggie Mae is working on not jumping when she is excited. Maggie Mae does bark and sometimes growl when someone comes up to the door and when someone comes into the home. She loves meeting people outside or in neutral spaces. So far she has interacted well with other dogs. She hasn't met any cats.
