Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. I’ve found I’m most comfortable around women, and I take things at my own pace. Welcome Bristol to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Bristol is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed dog. She is a small girl at about 7 pounds. She is a little under weight and her fosters will giving her good nutrition. She just had a litter of pups and we are posting them now. Bristol will be spayed soon and will be able to be the center of her family’s life soon. We could not be happier for Bristol. She is very sweet. She is learning the leash, doggie door, crate, car rides and working on potty training. The fosters believe she may have lived outside in her first home in life. She deserves to be a part of the family and get showered with love. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to her small size. She is going to be loyal to her person and usually they pick one to be their person. She likes to be held and sit in your lap. She isn’t too energetic and a small condo sized yard would be sufficient. If she goes to a colder climate she would need a good coat as she was cold today in Texas and it was only 70 degrees. She is good with cats and lives with a large dog. She is a wonderful mother dog and will make a wonderful family companion. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy who adores you unconditionally, I’m your girl.  I’ll be honest—I’m a bit of a worrier. I feel anxious when I can’t be with my person, even if they’re just in another room. My foster family is helping me learn that it’s okay to be apart sometimes, but this will take time and patience from my forever family too. When I’m in a crate or x-pen, I bark and cry for a while before eventually settling down. Because of this, I’d probably do best in a home without shared walls while I work on my confidence.  When I’m with my person, I’m calm, quiet, and incredibly well-behaved. We are Flynn and Rider! Like thieves in the night we'll steal your heart. Flynn and Rider are absolutely gorgeous and active puppies looking for forever homes to call their own. Flynn is a bit more reserved than Rider but he still loves to go play. He'll come sit by your feet and take in the world around him or he'll try to scamper up on your lap to show you rocks he's found. He loves being up high to get scratchies and watch his brother. Rider is the adventurer, he enjoys sniffing through the grass and pouncing grasshoppers. He likes to get the big dog toys to drag around the yard and have his brother chase him. Rider sits patiently waiting for his turn to get scratchies on your lap. He's so adorable! He's fearless until big trucks rumble by then you'll find him behind your chair! Don't get Tangled in our cute-pie puppy eyes! Flynn's blazing a new trail in life, had Parvo and they were unsure if he was gonna make it. Now he's recovered and making the most of life! Rider was a good support pup, always peeking in on Flynn while he was sick wondering when he could wrestle again. Otherwise he was bolting around causing a ruckus as puppies do checking out everything and ducking under anything. Gotta put a bell on this boy! These pups have healthy appetites but will stop when full, graze later after activities. Their mom has short legs, longer body, pointy ears, narrow face, and a beautiful redish brindle coat. Might be corgi/dachshund mixes or be energetic little terrier dogs. They have cute little legs and look like they waddle from behind! Both like to play, run, and carry things around. They are really good at hustling from their room to door to go outside with "lets go, let's go, hurry, hurry, all the way to the door." Then once out the door "all the way to the gate... no pee pee in the walk way." Then "hurry hurry all the way back to go potty." They bound around in a scurry watching me for praise at their good efforts! Eager to learn, observant, smart. Will walk on leashes together but criss cross a bit so will need individual leash training. They are a little timid with new things in general so slow introductions would be helpful as they learn. They are young and going through a chewing stage so age appropriate chew toys a plus. Have experience with dogs their size. Very timid with big dogs. No experience with cats or children so please introduce them slowly. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

The owner of Arlo, Lainey and 4 other akc registered doxies was living in a rental home with 4 children and the landlord said the dogs had to go. Her mom took them while she was supposed to find another place to live but that did not happen. Her mom had 3 dogs of her own and was overwhelmed so she asked for help. All the dogs are sweet but we took Arlo and Lainey. These two are quite bonded so we are going to try to place them together. They are both spay/neutered, UTD on vaccines and HW negative, They will also be microchipped. In their original home, they were left on a self feeder and I am afraid Arlo overindulged. He needs a home where they will go for walks and watch their diets. but he is so so sweet and cute! Loves cuddles and kisses! They both seem to be reliably housetrained. Arlo is a red pie bald and Lainey is a black and tan wirehaired doxie. Arlo was born on 8/13/2020 so he is 4 years old, Lainey is 3. Hi! My name is Layla and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Layla is a sweet girl. She likes going on walks and laying outside but not as much as she likes napping and food. She is in her golden years so she doesn't have a lot of energy but she will let you know if she ever wants to play. She loves butt scratches and she is one to follow you around the house so that you aren't ever lonely. She can be a bit vocal when she needs to go outside but we see it as a positive because she doesn't have accidents inside. She does great with cats, dogs, and all people including children. She is crate trained but sometimes needs a treat as motivation to go in. We love her and we know that you will too!
