Story
Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Welcome Romeo to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund mix pup. He is Chocolate and tan and weighs about 12 pounds. He is getting neutered next week. He lives in a home with a number of other dogs and does great. He lives with an older woman and he is very loyal to her. We are working with him on a harness and leash. He doesn’t know how to walk on them at this time. He needs to find his forever home. The person he lived with since he was a puppy has had a change in her living conditions and the neighbor has mentioned harming the dogs. When she told us this, CCPAL stepped up for 3 of the dogs. They are all under-socialized but we will work hard to get them used to new things, leash walking, crate training and more. They are a wonderful breed and if you love this breed you will like any one of these pups. These dogs would make great companion dogs and love to be at home with their person. They would already be wonderful for someone who loves the breed and maybe is a person that wants a companion but doesn’t need them to be a dog you can take everywhere. These dogs would be ok around children. We like them to be 10 or older with the smaller dogs. Romeo is in CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. . Story
Hi! I'm Jazzy! I'm from Arkansas! Jazzy is an estimated 10 year old, 10 pound dachshund. She is an old, sweet gal who would love nothing more than to snuggle up next to her person! Jazzy is good with other dogs. I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family. From the Vet: Jazzy has been evaluated by our TBB Vet Center and will be starting her injection treatments on 7/15 and will repeat with 2 additional injections in August. She will not be able to change homes 1 week prior to an injection or until 2 weeks after an injection. This is to ensure that we are causing her as little stress during this time as possible. Her adopters will also need to make sure they are able to keep Jazzy's activity restricted until 30 days after her last injection. After treatment Jazzy will need a bilateral mammary chain excision, spay and dental surgeries. TBB will agree to cover the heartworm treatments, as well as the surgeries with 1 round of medications and a recheck as deemed necessary associated with those procedures. Our surgeon is hopeful that we can accomplish the spay and one side of the mammary chain removal as one surgery and the second side with the dental, but this may be dependent on how well Jazzy does while under anesthesia. At most this will be accomplished as 3 procedures to be completed at TBB Vet Center. Any medical care needed outside of this coverage would be the responsibility of Jazzy's new forever family.

Story
Ryder is a sweet boy that we rescued about two years ago. He is perfect with people who give him his space until he trusts them. The issue is that he is very aggressive toward strainers and people that try to approach him other than our household members and a hand full of others. He will bite if he feels threatened, he has become a liability for our family due to the fact that in two years of training he still occasionally becomes aggressive out of the blue and will bite people. He is small so bites have caused minimal damage but we have children and their friends and our friends are have been bitten in some rare instances. He really is sweet and needs a companion to devote a lot of time. He is very attached to me but does not like any other men. He could be a great companion for an individual that lives alone and has a lot of time for snuggling and playing.

Story
Location: Blaine, MN Leah is the definition of Ride or Die, she is extremely loyal, and ready to be your co-pilot in life's journey. Leah is always up for a good play session of catch with her tennis balls, stuffed toys or a tug-of-war match. She LOVES toys!!! Your living room will become a stuffie graveyard on a daily basis. She does love her toys so much, she wants them all to herself. She is willing to share, but her inner spoiled child feels like they're all hers. Leah loves to be on the go. She loves car rides and hanging her head out the window. Her favorite past time is running around, smelling everything and chasing bunnies. Leah is currently in a foster home with a dog and a cat. She did start off chasing the cat, so the cat has decided she does not trust Leah. Since then Leah hasn't paid much attention to the cat, but does still chase from time to time. Leah and our resident dog get along great, they wrestle for hours throughout the day. Leah has met many dogs and has done well but she needs slow intros to make sure she feels comfortable. She does resource guard high value treats, this has been very easy to manage (with supervision and verbal reminders) between her and the resident dog. She does fine with hand fed treats and food, and has never had any issues with resource guarding dog food or treats. Unfortunately, because of her resource guarding she can not live with young children. Leah and the resident dog have so much fun playing and wrestling together, so she would love to live with a dog sister or brother to play with everyday. She does well with all the people in the house and loves when they play fetch with her. She will wake you up in the morning standing over you with a ball in her mouth "asking to play. She loves to cuddle and give kisses. The perfect home for Leah would be a home with a yard to explore, or another dog to play with and/or someone who wants to take her on adventures, especially if nature is involved. She loves the lake, wide open spaces to run, the woods to take in all the critters and smells. Leah is so smart. Her recall is excellent and she's works well with a training collar. She's very trainable and loves to please her people. She hasn't had any accidents and she's crate trained. If you're looking for a co-pilot to ride in your passenger seat and go on adventures with, this is your girl! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Rocko, a happy, sweet boy ready for his forever home! Rocko adores people and loves affection and attention. He enjoys running and playing outside with toys and with his sister or foster brother. He’s always up for playtime or snuggles with his humans. Look at this sweet video of Rocko snuggling under the covers!   My resident dogs are medium and large sized dogs and he did really well with them, after a day of intros and watching them he picked up the daily routine as though he’s been here much longer so I admire his adaptability. We have two resident cats as well and when they come around he shows no interest or prey drive. We also have foster guinea piggies and he has no interest there either. My son is 5 and he does the same around him as he would an adult.  He barks a bit showing more fear when meeting new people but I noticed as long as he’s being held by his main caretaker he quiets down and quickly becomes affectionate towards new people. I think with gained time and trust and positive experiences in new places and with new people the barking will stop because for a small dog he is not very “yippee”. He will cry and or bark when first out in the kennel but he does calm and quiet down after I am away. I am continuing potty training with him with rewards and correction. Close supervision helps aid the progress of potty training.  He is overall an amazing cuddly sweet boy! He would make the perfect companion to really any home willing to continue potty training. He has been so adaptable in our home. We are - pretty active family and he does well on hikes and walks. And with intros to other dogs as well Rocko is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
