Story
I don't mean it lightly when I say Norma is a special dog. I began the process of rehoming her a year ago, and it's just so hard to let her go. I just can't give her everything she needs and deserves I found Norma while I was in college, she was a 1 year old farm dog with 3 other siblings, and the elderly couple who owned her placed an ad on Craigslist looking to rehome one of their dachshunds. She has always been a great and loyal dog to me for 6 years, she is great with my 1 year old kid, she tolerates our indoor cat, she travels well, loves to snuggle and go for walks. I'm just looking for a home with people who have enough time to give her everything she needs. Life for my family is changing, my work schedule is becoming more demanding, and I think that too often Norma is the one to go without the attention she deserves...

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Meet T-Bone – Short Legs, Big Heart, Endless Love 💛🐾 T-Bone is a 2-year-old mixed-breed pup with a huge heart and the shortest little legs that make him irresistibly charming. At 41 pounds, he may be low to the ground, but his personality and spirit are truly sky-high! Before finding safety, T-Bone lived a rough life as a stray, fending for himself and holding out hope for kindness. Despite his tough past, he’s proven to be incredibly resilient, affectionate, and ready to love with his whole heart. T-Bone is the kind of dog who just wants to feel safe, be loved, and never worry again. He’s a gentle soul who will thrive in a home where he can finally relax and just be a dog — your dog. T-Bone currently resides at our local shelter, where we’re working together to help save lives. If you’re interested in adopting him, we’ll pull him into Hay Dude Rescue to complete the adoption. Meet Squirt and Squish: Double the Doxie Delight!   Squirt and Squish are two charming Dachshund brothers who bring double the love and personality. While they aren’t technically a bonded pair, these boys have been together their entire lives, and Underdog would love to see them find a forever home together.   Squirt  is a blind adventurer who doesn’t let his lack of sight slow him down one bit. This resilient pup has mastered the art of communicating with his humans. Need something? Squirt will let you know. Got it wrong? He’ll let you know that, too! Squirt and Squish are ready to bring their unique brand of joy to a family who will love them just as they are—together. Could that be you? Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hello everyone, my name is Howie!  I’m about 15 months old now and weighing in at a svelte 10 lbs. Very handsome if I do say so.  Foster mom says that I am blossoming like the sweetest smelling flower. When I first got to my foster mama’s house I was a little scared and reserved but not anymore! Now it’s all tail wags and zoomies. Some of my favorite things are chasing squeaky balls, finding sticks in the yard, and playing with my foster brother. I love sitting on foster mama’s lap, laying out in the sun, going for walks, and, of course, eating! I’m still reserved and shy around new people but I have a strong and loving bond with my human family. Foster mom says it will be a must to continue to expose me to new people, places and sounds to help build by courage and social abilities. Foster mama and I are working hard on potty training and walking on a leash. I do need to have a fenced yard and another dog in the home. Whenever foster mama leaves me to go out, or at night for bedtime, I go to an e-pen with an open crate. I am doing pretty well in there though I bark a little bit at night before settling in and sleeping all night like a champ. My perfect home would be where my people are home most of the time with me and there are no kids as I am still unsettled by lots of commotion. I’ve never met a kitty cat so I just don’t know what I would think about that! Foster mama says that I am a hoot! She says I walk around like I’m late for a meeting, love to do zoomies, am always eager to be near her, think it is fun to run through the nearby fields, and often flop down to show my belly while wagging my tail at 100mph.  Once I’ve gotten some energy out, I’m happy to sleep next to her on the couch. She says I’m a little lovebug! And it’s all true! Now all I need is my forever family.
