Thankfully, an angel discovered me and found me the help I needed. Before I knew it, I was on my way to Minnesota, where I was welcomed into a warm foster home. Just a few days later, I delivered five beautiful, healthy puppies surrounded by love and care. It was the sweetest fresh start a girl could ask for!My puppies are growing up and heading off to their forever homes, and now I’m told it’s my turn to find a family of my very own. Here are the important details: I’m housetrained, not much of a barker (unless there’s a reason), and I can be trusted to relax at home without needing a kennel. I’m gentle, affectionate, and always happy to accept a treat or two.I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but that just means I take my friendships seriously. Once I know I’m safe, my loyal and loving personality really shines. I bond deeply with my people and promise to give back so much love.I may be a “shortie,” but I’m more athletic than I look and enjoy a good romp! Leashes aren’t my favorite invention yet, but I’m willing to cooperate when it means spending time with my people. I’m a great car rider — just give me a cozy spot and I’ll curl up for a nap. The spay is covered by the rescue and will be done through our vets. Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Junior is a 2-year old Daschund that weighs about 11-12 lbs. He originally is from Tijuana. Junior came to us very apprehensive but he has progressed so well, and easily wants love and attention, petting, and care. Junior loves to go in and outside and loves to run around with another small dog. Junior loves to bark at squirrels! He is actually quite confident outside, strutting his small stuff, bossing the squirrels around. Junior is speedy, agile and athletic. Junior loves sleeping in the bed at night with you! We are seeking a household that will let him sleep in the bed, it means a lot to him. His foster home has a set of soft stairs that work great for him. We are looking for a home for Junior, ideally with another small dog and a fenced in yard (if possible). We can assess a home without a fenced in yard, or another dog, but a home with another small dog and a fenced in yard would ring all the bells! Junior has been exposed to larger dogs and can co-mingle but will sometimes be intimidated by them and jump and snap at them if he feels threatened. Junior is very precious. He loves to be near his caretaker and have fun with another small dog. He can be confident, and assertive and sometimes shy. He definitely looks to his caretaker for reassurance. Junior is working on on housetraining, he is possibly 100% there or if not, at 80-90%, as long as he goes outside often and you give him some structure (crate when you are out).
