Meet Roo. 💙 Roo is a 7-year-old little survivor who endured years of severe abuse. A wire was tied around his muzzle so tightly that he needed emergency surgery. We saved him from his abuser, and now we’re showing him the kindness and love he should have known his entire life. Roo may be scared when meeting someone new, but with treats, patience, and a gentle touch, he warms up quickly. Once he trusts you, he gives you his whole heart. He loves toys, treats, relaxing in his bed, snuggling, and staying close to his person. Although Roo can be around other dogs, he would prefer to be the only pet because, for the first time in his life, he wants a family’s love all to himself—and who could blame him? Roo has spent seven years waiting to feel safe and loved. Will you be the person who finally gives him the forever home he deserves? 🐾

Meet Bowie, a 6-year-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix looking for someone willing to help him feel safe again. 💙 Bowie came to us from a hoarding case. After his owner passed away, he was left on the property with 20 other dogs, fending for himself for years. Human life is still very new to him, and he’s learning—one small step at a time—that people can be kind. Bowie is a gentle, quiet, sweet boy with a curious personality. He’s food motivated, potty trained, and enjoys going into the yard. He seems to do well with other small dogs and often follows their lead. He likes sleeping in his own bed, and every so often he gets the zoomies! Bowie is still learning to trust human touch and is currently receiving behavioral rehabilitation at the rescue to help him become more comfortable and socialized with people. He needs a patient, understanding person who has experience with fearful dogs and will let him move at his own pace. You can see that he wants to trust—he just needs time, kindness, and the chance to discover that he’s safe. We’re looking for an adopter who can give Bowie the gentle support he needs. Meet Ace, the dog who started it all. 💙🌙 Ace is a 7-year-old German Shepherd and the very first dog Night Sky Rescue took in. He has a special place in our hearts and has been part of our story from the beginning. Ace is intelligent, obedient, and knows an impressive list of cues and tricks: sit, down, stay, roll over, wait, release, recall, and focus. He’s potty trained and even goes potty on cue. Ace is also muzzle trained. He’s a protective dog who needs someone patient and experienced—someone who understands German Shepherds and can help him feel safe and secure. We’ll take the time to talk through his needs and make sure introductions are handled thoughtfully. HI - I'M SHEENA, a petite 5-1/2-year-old shepherd-mix girl in need of a forever home! I'm currently in the Swatara/Grand Rapids area and available to meet! I weigh only about 35 lbs! I bond intensely and quickly to my person or people, as I'm starved for love and attention. Once I trust you, I will be your golden girl. I love, love, love human attention and affection, and giving hugs. (We have videos!) I also love to ride in the car so would be a great companion for road trips. Change can be a bit hard for me, so I need someone patient and understanding in the beginning. I am also not a fan of other dogs and that may never change, but I truly am a sweet girl ready to jump on your couch or bed and give you kisses. I would do best in a quiet home with an adult or adults who will love me and give me time to feel secure and bond. I am very deserving of a home and am a sweet, affectionate girl. MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Lab-Ridgeback-Pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 6 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better, and continues to be on good salmon food and supplements. He's soon in training in Northern Minnesota. He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. Howie is a big snuggler and will want to share your bed! He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He's been waiting a long time for his own home, and we're hoping he can find a home by the end of the year. Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. Howie weighs about 55-60 lbs., and is soon available to meet. Please email for an application.

She is a house dog so she used to cuddles only loves outside for sunbathing and play. She has warned us about multiple attempted break ins so she’s a great guard dog.shes a happy girl that just wants love and play. She sometimes will get along with other dogs and sometimes doesn’t it depends. Small children make her nervous Better with kids 10+.She is also crate trained and is used to a doggy daycare as well.
