Story
We adopted Bailey from the local shelter 2 months ago. She is super smart, sweet and playful, loving and gentle with our cat. However, we have very busy lives and can't raise a puppy at this time. She needs proper socialization because she is fearful and reactive based on this but once she gets puppy classes and lots of time to feel confident with other people/kids/animals she will be a perfect dog. Likes baths, agility activities, obeys basic commands, likes snuggling up, belly rubs, long naps. She sleeps through many nights from 9pm-6am but sometimes needs to go out. She potties well when asked. 4 months old, should have experienced puppy training to keep her on the path to perfect companion.

Story
Oliver is a smooth collie mix who was born on January 4, 2018 into a litter of 10. His father was a short-haired merle collie and his mother was a collie-pharaoh hound mix. He was originally adopted at the too young age of 4 weeks and has grown into a gorgeous 90+ pound bundle of energy. At 18 months, he is still very much a puppy.....a BIG puppy....with all of a puppy's affection, playfulness as well as unbridled energy. While Ollie loves to cuddle, play fetch, tug of war and run around with other big dogs, sometimes, he can be somewhat grabby and quite protective. Ollie was neutered at 6 months and is fully house-trained. He is very, very smart and knows basic commands from working with two trainers. Oliver needs a very active and engaging home life. He requires a yard with lots of space so he can run around to burn off his still-puppy energy. He could probably be trained to be a great agility or working farm dog. Oliver absolutely requires a physically and mentally strong person who is willing to devote the necessary time to continue his training. This individual needs to be an exceptionally savvy dog person who is motivated to work with Ollie to make him into a great companion. Because of Oliver's size and energy, he will not be adopted into a household with cats, small dogs or children under the age of 16.

Story
HI - I'M SANDY! I'm a 6-year-old sweet & chubby snuggler girl who needs a home! I'm currently in a foster home in Santa Barbara, though I may need a new foster home soon as the cat doesn't like me much. I've been waiting for over a year for someone to choose me. I love to cuddle, hang out and watch TV, and go for walks, hikes, and other adventures. I do well with some dogs (I used to live in a home with a female dog), but prefer people to other dogs so I can get all of the attention. If you're looking for a snuggler, someone to share your bed and hug, I'm it! I truly am a lap dog, and I crave human attention and affection. I'm also super happy, and am just waiting for my person or people to come along. I weigh about 56 lbs. and am a little chubby, so need to go on a diet. Can you foster or adopt me?

Story
HI - I'M CORDELIA! I'm a happy and compact 9-year-old bluenose pittie-mix girl with a wonderful smile! I weigh about 45 lbs, and am a sweet and independent girl. I don't act like I'm 9 as I love to play fetch and retrieve the ball - I'm very active! I have been waiting for a couple years for the right home! If you adopt me, I'll be your shadow and follow you wherever you go. I would do best in a home with a single person who can be my devoted companion, or an active couple who loves to walk, hike, and go on outings. My favorite thing to do is play ball! I am obsessed with playing fetch so would do best in a home with a yard - if at all possible, though it's not a necessity if you can take me someplace to play! I prefer to be the only dog but that doesn't mean I should be overlooked, because I am such a good girl. I'm not great with cats, however! Much like cats, I love attention and affection, but I love it on my own terms, once I know and trust you. I'm in good health overall but have a few lumps that don't bother me, so am anxious to get into a home soon, where I can be loved and doted on. Can you foster or adopt me?

Story
MEET TENOR & BASS! This fun-loving duo needs a foster or forever home in the new year! They have been waiting for their forever person or family for much too long, but we are determined to keep them together because they love each other and are great companions (and probably littermates). Bass & Tenor are 4-year-old friendly husky mixes, saved from a shelter! Bass is light brown-and-white and weighs 55 lbs., and Tenor is tan-and-white and weighs 60 lbs. Both boys are lively pups who need people on the go! They would thrive with an active person, people, or a family with older kids. They occasionally like to jump up and give kisses, so would do best in a home without smaller children. They aren't fans of other dogs but together they will give you plenty of love, affection and attention for a lifetime. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET ROMEO! Romeo is a 4-year-old male boxer/possibly black mouth cur. (His shelter paperwork says shepherd-boxer mix). He is currently looking for a foster or forever home. Romeo is a stunning, handsome boy who loves to be with his person or people. He's incredibly loyal and protective, and would make a wonderful companion for someone who loves to hike! He's a good guard dog, and would do best in a non-congested area where he can simply be with his people and not worry about the neighbors. Romeo also has a prey drive, and needs a physically strong owner. He can be leash reactive and dog selective, but is a lovebug in the home and a very sensitive, loving, loyal dog. He is incredibly smart, affectionate, and attached to my person or people to a fault. He will be your best friend. He is easy to groom, playful, and loves a good belly rub! He will benefit from walks, hikes, and regular exercise. Romeo weighs 74 lbs. Please email for an application.
