Story
Meet Brandy 💛 Brandy is a beautiful 6-month-old Belgian Malinois with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She came into our lives when a friend who loved her deeply realized they could no longer care for her and asked us to help. We opened our home to give her stability, safety, and a chance at a brighter future. Since then, Brandy has shown us just how special she is. She is incredibly smart, loyal, and eager to learn. She already knows several commands like sit, shake, down, middle, and hold. She is potty trained, crate trained, and loves being close to her people. Her playful energy and expressive eyes make it impossible not to fall in love with her. Recently, Brandy went through surgery after swallowing a sponge, and she has been recovering very well showing resilience and strength every day. She continues to eat well, stay curious, and keep her loving spirit. The hardest part of this decision is knowing that Brandy deserves more time, activity, and engagement.

Story
I've had Gigi for about 5 years after adopting her from my sister, who had her as a puppy in California. She's now around 5-6 years old and has lived with me in both Washington and California. Gigi travels very well and loves long car rides, especially when she can look for squirrels. She needs plenty of exercise and does great on hikes, long walks, and even running alongside a skateboard or bike. She has always lived with other dogs (large and small), cats, and children and does well with all. She was once attacked by another dog and needed stitches but fully recovered. She does need to be watched around trash, as she once ate something dangerous and required emergency surgery, which she also fully recovered from. Gigi is high energy but past the puppy stage, loves toys, and tug-of-war is her favorite. She needs a dedicated home that can give her proper exercise, structure, and lots of love.

Story
Whiskey is the ultimate companion dog—he craves human interaction and thrives when he’s around his family. Whether he's lounging on the couch or following you from room to room, he just wants to be part of the action. But don’t be fooled by his cuddle-loving side—he’s also a high-energy pup who enjoys chewing on toys and exploring his surroundings! With his growing curiosity, he’ll need plenty of playtime, engagement, and training to channel his energy in the right direction. He already knows sit, down, and home, but since he’s still young, he’ll benefit from consistent training to help him become the best version of himself. He’s crate-trained, house-trained, and gets along well with other dogs! When it comes to cats, he’s neutral—he doesn’t mind them but doesn’t interact much either. His stubborn streak is part of his charming personality, so a patient, dedicated family who can continue his training with positive reinforcement will be the best fit for him.

Story
SEEKING A FAMILY WITH NO KIDDOS Buddy is a Yorkie-Pom who is 8yrs old. He weighs about 3-1/2 lbs, but has the attitude of a large dog. We have had him since he was 10wks old and have raised him alongside our two children, and a newly added husky mix. He gets along with other dogs, but is no longer pleasant with our kids or other outside visitors. We have an active lifestyle, as well as friends/neighbors who visit frequently and he cannot handle the chaos. He has become very neurotic and over protective. We have had to sadly accept that he needs a home that does not have children or constant visitors. He is sweet, cuddly and loving when it’s quiet. He loves to snuggle and go on long walks (he’ll even hike), is independent and strong-willed. He’s cute as a button, but is better suited for someone who can give him their full attention. If you’d like to arrange to meet him, please reach out! We love him, but would love for him to have a better home that makes him happy.

Story
@vcanimalservices These two broke our hearts ?? Sadly, our county has A LOT of animals and very little pet friendly housing. Their family tried everything they could to rehome them, but unfortunately had to surrender 10 year old pitties Panchita and Toby when their housing situation changed suddenly. Originally these two were kenneled together, but had to be separated due to some disagreements. They may still do well in a home together, but also do GREAT on their own. Our priority is to get them each in homes as soon as possible. ?? They are both such kind, gentle souls and may be open to other dog siblings too. Both dogs are posted to the shelter website at vcas.us/pittieparty. To adopt, please come visit at 600 Aviation Drive, Camarillo CA. ? Wash. - Bon Iver
