Story
Dakota is as sweet as they come. He will come and kiss you in the morning and waits patiently for you to take him for a walk. He is 5 years old, well rounded, well behaved and is a great travel companion (we’ve taken him on many long road trips), extremely people friendly and loves to sit with us and cuddle. He does get startled by little kids. Dakota enjoys relaxing in the sun and gets excited when he spots a squirrel. He loves going for hikes, running and playing fetch. Dakota gets a lot of love and care from us but even with our best intentions he still lacks something we really can’t offer him. He spends most of his time inside our apartment and it’s become clear to us that he’d be much happier with more stimulation and room to run. That is why we seek someone who is looking for a great mate to take him on hikes or other outdoor activities and engage him fully into their lives.

Story
Looking for a home for my husky/aussie dog 60lbs. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and chipped. He is good with children and has never been known to be aggressive towards people. The only time I’ve ever seen him upset is when a dog crossed his boundaries that was off leash and was protecting my best friend. I am looking for a family who is willing to take him on that can work with his separation anxiety as he can be destructive if someone is not with him (something I think a behaviorist can work through). At home he is loving, very food driven, and tends to just sleep for most of the day. All materials will be provided including food, bed, treats, and toys.

Story
Meet Bea (pronounced “B”). She’s a 7 year old terrier mix. Her elderly (human) mother recently passed away and Bea is looking for a new loving home. Bea is sweet and best suited in an only dog house or with recently born puppies. She has a fear and anxiety toward larger and mature dogs. She loves walking on a leash, sitting on laps, and spinning in circles upon your arrival home. Prior to her most recent home, Bea came from a home with some form of abuse. Therefore, it takes her a little to get attached, but once she’s locked in—no need to worry about a thing! In human terms, Bea has been moved around the system a bit. She’s a great dog that needs a tender loving home. She can be good with kids, but doesn’t like to be chased around as she get’s scared easily (from the bad home prior to us). Therefore, I’d recommend a kid-free house. If she’s so great, why don’t I keep her? Great question. I’m moving abroad and only am taking care of her because she was my mom’s dog.

Story
We adopted Coco from the county animal shelter when she was 8weeks old. She is 9 years old now. She is house trained and can walk on a leash and knows basic commands. She is very sweet to people she knows but is very weary of outsiders. She loves to cuddle and eat. She gets along better with older kids and adults although she was raised with a baby and did well.
