Story
I don’t know what happened to her before I got her, but she has a lot of fear and anxiety. When I first started caring for her, she made great progress, especially when gently socializing with other dogs. Having another calm dog around really helped her confidence. She has never been aggressive—she may bark at unfamiliar people, but it’s always from fear. Loud noises also make her shake. Because of recent health and family issues, I can’t give her the stable, quiet home she needs, and her anxiety has gotten worse. She has all her shots and takes a monthly flea pill. She recently became so stressed that she stopped eating and drinking consistently, and pushing her seemed to make it worse. I believe her struggles are environmental, not medical. She is a very sweet, gentle dog who wants to feel safe. I’m hoping to find a patient home, ideally with another friendly dog, where she can rebuild her confidence and enjoy life again.

Story
This big guy is house trained, leash trained, and loves to stay active. His favorite routine is a mix of jogging and walking about 3 miles. He’s also a total goofball when it comes to playtime. Rubber balls are his toy of choice, and in the summer, he can’t resist splashing around with the water hose! Bruce does great with kids. He’s a little unsure about cats and new dogs, and can be cautious around men, so a patient and understanding home would be best for him.

Story
She was a stray found 10/25 in my yard at work with another dog. She had on a bark collar, sutures in her abdomen from a spay estimated to be around 4 weeks old, and festering. She had a limp from the other dog playing with her too rough. I’ve nursed her back to health, and adopted away the other dog. She is very sweet and affectionate with me. Loves treats like cheese and hot dogs. On the dominant/aggressive side towards other cats & dogs. Very inquisitive when on leash, and needs more training. Very quiet, probably a result of the bark collar. Wants to run and explore, so would be best if new home had lots of space to run, or someone who enjoys fast-paced walks. She is a little shy and nervous with new people, but seeks out affection with people she’s met twice or more. I’ve been caring for her for 4 weeks, but my job forces me to travel, and keep unusual hours, that are not conducive to keeping a dog right now.
