Story
Bennet is a 10 month old Chihuahua puppy who lost a leg but never his spirit. He was one of six pups cruelly dumped with trash in a remote area, emaciated and suffering from an old, untreated injury so severe that amputation was the only humane option. Today, Bennet is pain free and thriving, zipping around on three legs just as fast as he ever could on four.

Story
I’m Knuckles, a one-year-old, 10-pound bundle of joy with soft fur and a little fox face that always seems to be smiling. I love being around other dogs, and I even do a happy prance when I walk on a leash. I’m a loyal little guy who just wants to stay close to my family and share all my happiness with them. Like all Lucky Chi’s I’m neutered and am up to date on all vaccinations. If I seem like a good fit for you, please fill out a form at the bottom of our Adoptable Chi’s page!

Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Honey (she goes by Dolce, but we have another dog also with that name) came from a home with far too many dogs that overwhelmed the owner. Honey is 50 pounds, is recently spayed and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She is a typical female, who can get a little growly around strangers poking and prodding (not a fan of the vet but manageable), but has lived with other dogs and kids with no issues. Her coat has cleaned up nicely with good food and some short-term antibiotics. Honey is the princess, preferring inside to out (she is completely housetrained, but just doesn't want to hang out in the yard otherwise). She is quiet, not a big barker and likes to give kisses and hugs. Honey is fostering in the Indio, California area. If you are looking for a pair, Royce came from the same home.January 5, 2026, 1:28 pm

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Milo is a loyal, affectionate, and energetic 5-year-old pitbull/bull terrier mix who bonds closely with his people. He is smart and active and does best with structure, routine, and daily exercise. He has anxiety and high energy, so he needs an experienced owner who can provide consistent exercise, enrichment, and leadership. He would thrive as an only dog in the home. Due to two dog-to-dog incidents with our beagle mix, he must be placed in a home without other pets. This decision was made out of concern for safety and his well-being. Ideal home: Only dog, experienced owner, adults or older teens, active household. Vet records available.

Story
Darlene was surrendered to the shelter when her owners could no longer care for her. She was living with 2 other dogs and is good with new dogs. Darlene lived with kids and is housetrained, affectionate and well-mannered. Darlene will bark at strangers and sounds the alarms for deliveries. She is 49 pounds, and we are working on cleaning up some skin issues (high quality food and fish oil, with an exam scheduled at vet). She is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She is fostering in southern Riverside County, Calif.January 14, 2026, 8:13 pm
