Meet Princess! This beautiful little Hesperia Shelter survivor is ready for her happily ever after. Princess appears to be a long-haired Chihuahua/Dachshund-type mix, with the sweetest, gentlest personality. She can be a little shy when she first meets you, but once she feels safe, her loving and cuddly side starts to shine. She does well with other dogs and may actually benefit from having a friendly fur brother or sister to help build her confidence. Princess would thrive in a calmer home with someone who has plenty of time to spend with her—possibly someone who works from home or is home often. She’s not asking for much… just patience, love, and a safe place where she can blossom. Meet Ginger — It’s Finally Her Turn. Ginger came to Green Dog Foundation from the San Bernardino Shelter when she was full-term pregnant and scheduled to be spayed, which would have ended her pregnancy. We were able to get her safely out of the shelter, and shortly afterward, Ginger gave birth to six beautiful, healthy puppies. She was an absolutely wonderful mama. Her babies thrived under her loving care, and now that most of them have gone on to their forever homes, it’s finally Ginger’s turn. â¤ï¸ And whoever adopts this girl is going to be very lucky. Ginger is truly a sweetheart. She loves people, loves other dogs, and seems to approach just about everything with her gentle, easygoing personality. She is housebroken, leash trained, great in the car and loves nothing more than cuddling up next to you in bed. She is generally quiet, but she still enjoys playing and has a wonderful time romping with the younger dogs here at the ranch. She’ll give you a bark when someone is outside, but otherwise she’s a pretty quiet little girl. And perhaps one of the nicest things we can say about Ginger: she is just EASY. She isn't destructive, she isn't troublesome, and she isn't looking for ways to get herself into mischief. She simply wants to be loved and to belong to someone. After raising six puppies and watching them begin their new lives, this sweet mama deserves a family of her very own. We know she will give someone many years of devoted love and companionship. Tilia's mom Ginger ended up at the San Bernardino Shelter VERY pregnant, scared and depressed. Even though she was "full term," they set her to be spayed and her puppies aborted, but we were able to rescue her just before this happened. A week later, she gave birth to 6 healthy and adorable puppies. These puppies are social and loving and come from a home filled with love. At 8 weeks of age, they will have had their initial dewormings, their first vaccination and microchip. Tilia is unique in that she currently has one blue eye and one green eye! Puppies are adopted out with a 'foster to adopt' contract and when they are deemed old enough to be spayed or neutered by a GreenDog Foundation Vet, the contract is complete and the adoption is finalized. The adoption fee is $600 which covers their series of vaccinations including Rabies, microchipping and spaying or neutering. All of these services must be provided by one of GreenDog Foundation's Vets.
