Banyan's mom Ginger ended up at the San Bernardino Shelter VERY pregnant, scared and depressed. Even though she was "full term," they set her to be spayed and her puppies aborted, but we were able to rescue her just before this happened. A week later, she gave birth to 6 healthy and adorable puppies. These puppies are social and loving and come from a home filled with love. At 8 weeks of age, they will have had their initial dewormings, their first vaccination and microchip. Puppies are adopted out with a 'foster to adopt' contract and when they are deemed old enough to be spayed or neutered by a GreenDog Foundation Vet, the contract is complete and the adoption is finalized. The adoption fee is $600 which covers their series of vaccinations including Rabies, microchipping and spaying or neutering. All of these services must be provided by one of GreenDog Foundation's Vets. Cole is a 2 year old Doberman-Rottweiler mix with a striking presence and an even more impressive personality. Recently abandoned with his other siblings, Cole is now looking for a second chance at a forever home where he can finally feel safe, understood and loved. This affectionate boy absolutely adores people He thrives on human attention and will happily lean in for pets, snuggles or just to be closer to you. Cole is also full of energy and an excitement for life! He is playful, active and needs plently of daily exercise to stay happy and balanced. As a strong, intelligent dog, Cole will benefit greatly from structure, consistency, and continued training. He is eager to learn and wants to please...he just needs someone willing to guide him. Since Cole's history is unknown, we are not sure how he does with other animals or young children, so slow introductions and a patient, experienced adopter would be ideal.
