Beau is a four year-old black pure Labrador retriever, but I do not have his AKC papers. He was rehomed to me about eight months ago from a family who had an autistic child who needed more attention. He’s very well trained and is a very good dog. The only issues I’ve ever had with him. He does not like his nails being ground or clipped and it takes three of us to hold him just to do that. I recently got a new labrador puppy that is three months old and for some reason he does not like the puppy although he does get along great with other dogs, including my neighbors dogs and my daughter‘s dog and they play all the time he just does not like the puppy and is very jealous and will not let me touch her without pushing her out of the way, so obviously he needs a lot of his own attention and he would be better off in a home with another adult dog because he gets along well with them or a home that just will have him as a dog. Other than that, I spent a lot of money on his shots recently.

Story

Elliot is an 8-year old Great Dane with a gentle, loving personality. He became part of our family after he was rescued from an abandoned apartment, where he was believed to have been left alone for about a week. We know he deserved a second chance, and for the past couple of years he has been an big part of our family. This is difficult decision, but after my divorce our circumstances changed significantly. As a single working mom, I moved from a home with a fenced yard into an apartment. Unfortunately, the apartment I am moving to on August 1 cannot accommodate a dog Elliot's size. I also have another dog whose barking has created issues in apartment living, making our current situation even more challenging. Elliot is sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys being around people. He does well with other animals; however is protective of his food and is fed separate. Managing this way works in our home. I am hoping to find someone who likes big breeds and can give him a great life!

Story

Larry lived with me and 4 other college students last year, as a roommate’s pet, and I have genuinely never fallen so fast & hard for a dog. He is extremely affectionate: always cuddled up next to me, slept with me every single night, and gave me gentle kisses every greeting. He has the quirkiest personality I’ve ever seen in a dog and is very intelligent. He quickly (first time) learned to be off-leash when alone on hikes, learned commands to go to his bed when we were eating, showed us his harness or bowls, etc. While being so loyal, he also has separation anxiety. His owner can no longer keep him at home for the summer as Larry is too afraid of his older brother due to a traumatic event when he was first rescued from CraigsList. Thus, I have been fostering him since but it’s too much for my pets + mother. He needs someone as loving as he is; he attaches very quickly to anyone who shows him consistent reassurance. He truly is the sweetest boy and deserves the best possible life.

Beau is a very well trained and good for your labrador retriever. I took him in about six months ago prior to receiving my lab puppy. He has all his shots Medical checks. I have food a bed some toys he’s very well trained, and listens and is great with kids and other pets. I just cannot handle two labs at once and my plan was never to keep him for a long period just to foster him till I could find him a good home where somebody has the time to spend with him. He is also a microchip with AKC reunite.

My family is— very sadly— needing to rehome Bean, our 7 year old Australian shepherd. We purchased her from Spotted Bodies Farm in Lynchburg VA at 8 weeks old in 2019. I never thought that I would be here but unfortunately she has been showing increased aggression towards our toddler. We did not anticipate this from her as she has always been loving but admittedly she was not exposed to small children until our baby was born in 2024. She is not great with other dogs (she barks/lunges) though she has never caused harm, she’s never been around cats, and our experience is that she has been fine with older children. Rehoming fee to ensure a good home. Vet records will be available to potential adopter.

Koda is a beautiful 10-month-old purebred Papillon with a sweet, playful personality. He loves being close to his people, enjoys playing with toys, and is always curious about what's going on around him. He is crate trained, uses a doggy door, and is continuing to learn his house manners. Like any young dog, he still benefits from consistency and routine. Koda is healthy, affectionate, and would do best with someone who has the time to give him the attention and companionship he deserves. He loves exploring new places, going for walks, riding in the car, and being part of whatever you're doing. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but due to significant family health changes and increased caregiving responsibilities, I can no longer provide the time and attention he deserves. My priority is finding him a loving, stable home where he can truly thrive.
