Meet Sage!Sage is available for foster-to-adopt as she continues to gain weight. She is a super friendly and affectionate little dog who will forever remain puppy-sized due to poor nutrition in her early years. She has tested well with one of our dog-friendly dogs at the shelter.Origin Story:Sage and Rosey were surrendered to us emaciated, dehydrated, and covered in stale urine.Yet, they still ran up to us tails wagging and ready for some love!We immediately got them in the bath and noticed their paws were shredded --even missing chunks in some places. Their nails were curling between their toes and between their toes also has small cuts.We can’t even begin to imagine the pain, yet they were still running into our arms ready for love. We have been wrapping their feet to aid with healing. Now they just need to wear shoes when they go outside.These girls are literally so perfect and patient for everything!If you`d like to be part of her glow-up, stop by and ask to meet Sage!Female2 1/2 yearsCame in at 22 lbs (undeweight)Weight after two weeks: 24.25 lbs---------------------------------------------------Interested in adopting? Meet Bidzil!He loves people of all ages! He’s very wiggly and maybe not the smartest kid in class…He would thrive on a great school routine and some extra cuddles!! He loves to play!! He came out of neglect. He was super skinny on arrival -- weighing in at only 33 lbs! Now he is up to a healthy 50 lbs. He also came in with vertebrae on his tail exposed. With daily tail wrap changes, antibiotics, pain meds given, and a nutritious diet, he is fully healthy now.He greets dogs well, but is over it after a minute. He would do best with another calm dog to co-exist with or as solo dog. No cats or small animals, please.Bidzil recently went on a Dog Day Out with a couple of our volunteers. Here`s what they had to say, `He started out a tad on the aloof and cautious side, but he quickly warmed up. After that, he was a super chill, laid-back, gentle, and easy-going boy with a quiet smile. He showed no reaction to any of the people or dogs we passed and was perfectly happy strolling right beside us. He never pulled on the leash and happily sat for treats (and he LOVES his treats!). He even posed in front of some flowers for photos like a natural! Meet Kevin Hart!This cutie came in with his bigger brother (Dwayne the Rock Johnson). They came in with skin issues (which are still unresolved). They spent several weeks together in foster. Now Kevin is back at the shelter and looking for a foster-to-adopt home that will continue to help him in his glow up.Here`s what their previous foster had to say, `Kevin Hart (little guy) and Dwayne The Rock (bigger guy) have been an absolute joy to foster. We have loved having them, but we have too much going on through November, with several trips planned out of town. They have some skin issues, which they have seen the vet now (though the shelter staff will need to update as to the diagnosis), and they need a medicated bath and likely medication. But they have always taken medication well when delivered via cheese. They’re not big fans of the baths, but they handle it well considering. Kevin wants to cuddle all the time—will only voluntarily leave your lap to get food or water if of he needs to potty. Otherwise wants to be your cuddle buddy. They are both super sweet, and pretty good at trying to potty on puppy pads if you don’t get them out soon enough, and pretty good at not pottying in their kennels (waiting until you get them outside)… but we typically never left them for more than 8 hours in their kennels overnight without taking them outside, and made sure to take them out several times after dinner/before bed. They will unfortunately need a new foster, but be prepared to fall in love with these sweethearts, because they have been the sweetest and easiest fosters we’ve ever had!`
