Story
Dog selective. Belle is in need of a new foster home as a member of the house has become very ill. Belle does not chew on shoes though she does like to carry them around when she gets excited. Belle was born in our care on April 1st 2017 to Momma Orla. She and her siblings were named after Beauty and the Beast characters. She and her 'sister' didn't get along so the family felt she would be better with a new family. She did great with her two Chihuahua siblings, and may do well with a male dog. She loves to give kisses and plays hard on toys. One of her favorite past times is to bird watch. Cats and kids are unknown at this time. She is currently in boarding and we need her out!Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old. Story
Meet Jesse! He was rescued well over a year ago. His foster has been working with him to be his best self and he is finally ready! He was so shut down and scared due to a life of abuse and neglect. Thanks to his amazing foster, he has come out of his shell and learned to love again! He loves people and being held. He does not love stairs! They are still very scary for him. He is around 5-6 years old. If you can open your home and heart to sweet Jesse, please fill out an application! https://www.jotform.us/form/43196636952162Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. Story
We have no idea why she’s been waiting so long. She is obviously gorgeous and sweet! She is a careful girl but loves her people fiercely! She is more nervous around new men, but warms up fine as she looooooves her foster dad so much. She is an active girl and loves to run and play with other dogs. In fact, she tends to do best with other dogs around because they help her feel more confident and secure. This pretty girl needs nothing but a little patience and love. If interested in meeting Gigi, fill out an application today! https://www.jotform.us/form/43196636952162Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. Story
Kenzo is a very loving, active dog that just needs someone to give him their time and affection. He'd do well with dogs just as playful as him. He's a smart boy that learns quickly. Teaching him new things and getting him adjusted to your routine will just take time. He's doing great with potty training, you just need to stick to a schedule. He does great with dog doors and will tell you if he needs to go out. Crate training will take time but he has made great progress from when we started. He is comfortable in his crate but will be vocal about his choice to be right by your side instead. He's been living with cats and has slowly been adjusting to co existing with them. With continued slow introductions, I'd think he would do just fine being in a home with them. He is very affectionate and love to cuddles and give kisses. He really is a gentle boy that just needs a family wirh time and patience for him to adjust to this new life. Kenzo is available through Guardians of the Green Mile (www.gotgm.org) of Portage, IN. Story
Meet Willow! She’s just a year and half old! Just a ball of energy and love. I’ve had Willow since she was 11 weeks old. She was found in Mississippi during a natural disaster. I love her so much. It breaks my heart but I need to rehome her. She has sever separation anxiety. She is the sweetest most loving girl. She LOVES to play. She loves to snuggle. If you love to play fetch you two are a match made in heaven. I found out I was pregnant two months after I got her. She makes it impossible to leave the house. She wasn’t crate trained. (I’ve never had a dog that wasn’t crated trained, but my husband refused.) I want to be transparent. I want her to find the forever home she deserves. If you are interested in this beautiful loving girl. Please email me at gdredundant@gmail.com

Story
This is Smores. The sweetest pup. She loves belly rubs, playing fetch, and loves everyone. She doesn’t have a ton of experience with other dogs. She’s needs help learning how to be on a leash. Is great at being in her crate and will send that to wherever she goes. Is not a big barker unless she’s scared. Does not like balloons. Knows some commands. Could use someone who is active.
