Story

After literally getting kicked🤯into the streets by the children of his elderly owner when he passed away, a neighbor recognized Schmitty and was able to get him to safety at a local shelter. That’s when ABRA stepped in to promise this sweet soul 😍that he would never face a moment of want ever again. Schmitty is estimated to be about 8 yrs old and is a Chi/Doxie mix. He does have a significant heart murmur, which is not uncommon for his breeds. He is not currently requiring any meds or treatment and has had two EKG done prior to both surgeries and was cleared to proceed. He recently got neutered and had a full dental🦷, losing 9 teeth in the process, but boy does his breath smell 👃🏻 better!! 🤣 Schmitty has never met a soul that he does not like. He is being fostered with 2 small dogs 🐶 and absolutely 💯 loves everyone that comes and goes through the house 🏡. He was a huge hit at our Easter 🐰 celebration, snuggling from lap to lap in a house of 40 strangers. Schmitty is a refined gentleman, he enjoys wearing a bow tie , fully house trained and rarely barks.

Story

Fred! Our sweet, always smiling Fredly. He's such a good boy! Fred was left at a very crowded shelter with all of his (adult) littermates and was the only one to make it out alive :( What we know about Fred since he's been in our care is that he can be resource guard-y with other dogs, NOT with people. We have always been able to take food/toys away from him. He can be a bit nervous with new people, especially men, but honestly it takes him all of 24-48 hours to warm up and then he's a velcro dog! Never wants to leave your side! He is not destructive and is content to just curl up and sleep in bed while you are at work. He is a wonderful cuddler, his head feels like velvet, and he's just a doll of a 53# mutt. No idea what breeds he is, he's just a perfect muttly mix. Fred is almost 4 years old and just waiting for his forever person/family to find him.

Our sweet angel litter was born on January 16, 2026. Mom was a stray and we rescued her 6 days before she gave birth to 12 beautiful babies! Mom has the SWEETEST temperament and is fostered with dogs, a cat, 40 chickens and a toddler! She loves them all! We are sure her babies will be just as sweet. Results of a DNA test show that babies are a mix of Akita,APBT, Staffie, American and English bulldog. Cherub is one of the only darling girls. Our puppy adoption fee is $350 and includes deworming, vaccines, spay, microchip, etc. Everything starts with an application. Theo Huxtable! He's a total dream! Theo is so darn sweet and wonderful. He doesn't know a stranger. Theo loves everyone he meets, be it human, dog or cat. He is about 10 months old with ears for days! Theo weighs 40 pounds. He is an energetic bundle who would love a fenced-in yard. He'd also make a great jogging partner and would LOVE a dog to play with! He enjoys long walks on the beach (no really, he does!), playing, always having a toy in his mouth, and snuggling with his foster mama and dog siblings. Great with kids too!

Luna Rose is a pretty low maintenance lady! She's 6-7 years old, housebroken, happy, and an all around easy gal! Luna has not needed to be crated (though she is crate trained), but when she's left alone she just likes to chill on the couch and wait for her person to come home! She's good with other dogs, but no kitties or small kiddies for Luna. She isn't a fan of new people getting right up in her face, and sometimes it's too hard to explain to small children not to grab a dog's face. She loves people and greets everyone with enthusiasm! She really is just a great companion for someone looking for a friend.
