Story
Everyone meet our sweet girl Skye! Skye was dumped outside our clinic a few months ago in pretty rough shape! She was skins and bones but quick to trust us! After some TLC from our staff she has quickly gained her weight back and is almost 40 pounds now! She’s a petite girl and the cutest little girl with a huge personality. Skye can be a little protective over her food bowl which can be understandable due to the condition she was found in. She can also be a little protective over her toys so we are hoping we can find a rescue that can help work with her on this! She loves to give hugs and kisses and just loves attention! Skye tested well with other dogs but is a little too curious for cats. Please share so Skye can find rescue pull! If interested in fostering Skye send us a message and we can put you in contact with a local rescue that we work with! Available at County Line Pet Hospital 708-754-2351 Clphadoption@gmail.com

Story
🚨In need of licensed rescue or someone willing to foster her through a licensed rescue🚨 Everyone meet Freya! Freya was found a few months ago in our field outside our building by one of our employees. Freya unfortunately was never claimed by an owner and is now in need of a foster home to decompress. Freya has quickly become stressed out in our kennels and needs out asap! She is not a fan of other dogs and will need a foster home where she is the only pet or can be kept completely separate from other pets. During her initial behavior test she showed some possessiveness over her food bowl and toys and was a little weary around strangers at first. However our kennel attendants have been working hard with her on training and she’s been doing wonderful! She is very treat motivated and eager to learn new tricks. Freya has quickly shown us how smart she is! Freya knows sit, stay, come, paw, spin, and speak! We would love nothing more than to get Freya out of our kennels and into a foster home to continue her training and working with her. If you are interested in fostering Freya through a licensed rescue, send us a message and we can put you in touch with rescues that we work with! Clphadoption@gmail.com 708-754-2351

Story
Rocket, that’s the name he was given when me and my brother got him as a puppy. he is an amazing dog and such a good boy. he loves to play catch & only got to learn, sit, drop (ball) he’s a good listener. we got him on may15,2023 so he’ll be a year next month. we love him we do but the timing wasn’t right no matter how much we tried. He is a handful and we weren’t ready to give him 100% of our attention due to work and already had a smaller dog and a cat which they didn’t really get along. he’s never bit anyone but he’s always been very territorial on his toys. he would growl but never in a hurtful way and is always so happy to be outside and will jump so high to catch his toys. he never got used to having a bed because he would always rip the beds or anything with stuffing in it. It would be ideal for him to find a better home then what we could have given him by someone who able to spend more time with him or have another dog with the same build to play with so he wouldn’t be alone.

Story
I’m Manny, a 12 year old, 20 pound, male Corgi mix. I’m looking for a special home to spend my golden years. I’m very loving and get along with dogs and cats. I take my time warming up to new things. I am house trained. I am blind but get around fine and have no problem with stairs. In my past life I was very secluded and not cared for. That gave me some triggers. Well really just one — gates, any kind of gate. Because of Manny’s nervousness and past life, we will plan of multiple meetings. Also, Manny will need to be adopted within 50 miles of Flossmoor, IL. Manny is microchipped as well as up to date on vaccines, monthly preventatives. He has had a dental. Manny’s adoption fee is $150. If you are think you are Manny’s special someone, please visit heathersfosterdogs.org to complete and submit your adoption application.

Story
ADOPT SHELDON 3.5 year old Dachshund /Yorkie mix Best as an only dog Teenagers/adults only Sheldon, Sheldon, Sheldon what can I say about this little guy? To know him is to love him. Unfortunately, we don't have much information about his past. He is an owner surrender. He was not up to date on his vaccinations or heartworm prevention. He was not neutered and he had a horrible flea infestation that had not been treated leaving him with large bald spots on his back. To say he must have been miserable is probably an understatement. That has all been taken care of. You can no longer see the bald spots and he's feeling so much better. Sheldon is a three and a half year old, 12 pound doxie yorkie mix with a big attitude. He's going to need someone very special that will love him for his good qualities and deal with his less desirable traits. Sheldon is currently living with two retired adults and another dog in a small house. He enjoys sitting in your lap while you gently rub his ears. It's adorable how he gets excited at meal time and you hear his little feet run ahead to where he eats. If the weather is nice, he enjoys sniffing around the yard. Once he discovered the squirrels he made it his mission to try to catch one. He loves playing with his foster brother despite the significant size difference. On the down side, he doesn't want to share his foster mom. He will growl and even snap at his foster brother if he comes near during cuddle time. His foster dad doesn't fair any better and can't even move about the house without being barked at when mom's around. He does not do well with excitement either. It's another cause for barking. He doesn't want to be bothered if he's laying in his bed, especially if he's got a toy or bone in there. He will growl and if you ignore the warning you probably will get nipped. I would not trust him around kids under the age of maybe fourteen. All that being said, he still deserves a home of his own. In a different situation he could really be a great companion. Being an only dog would eliminate a lot of the problems and barking. His barking wouldn't resonate as much in a larger home. He can always be put in another room when you have company, at least till he calms down. If you think you might be interested in adopting Sheldon, please take the time to fill out an application. Then we can have a real conversation. He's got a lot of years left and we want them to be happy. Sheldon’s adoption fee is $450. Sheldon is neutered, vaccinated with rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative & on heartworm & flea/tick prevention. He is fostered in the south suburbs of Chicago. Interested? Please visit www.heathersfosterdogs.org & click on Adoption Application to submit your application online. We are located in the south suburbs of Chicago & serve that general area, NW Indiana, & southern Wisconsin. We do not ship dogs.

Story
Hi all! I’m a 12 week old hound/pittie mix. I was part of an unplanned litter that my foster mom saw being given away online, & she stepped in to help & get my parents fixed so this doesn’t happen again! I’m currently 14 pounds & growing. I’m in foster care with my sister Rosita & we are your typical puppies - we love playing, toys, kids, & exploring the outdoors. I’m working hard on my housebreaking & learning fast. Please remember that while I’m cute, I’m still a PUPPY, that means you will need to finish my housebreaking, & continue to socialize & train me so I can be the best I can be. I will likely grow to be a medium-large size dog so keep that in mind. I have been neutered, microchipped, dewormed & given all age-appropriate vaccinations. At my vet visit I was found to have a heart murmur- when my foster mom gets your application, she can chat with you about future care for that. My adoption fee is $350 & I am fostered in the south suburbs of Chicago - the rescue serves that general area & Northwest Indiana. Please head to www.heathersfosterdogs.org to submit your application to meet me & it will be forwarded to my foster mom. No meets are set up until an application is on file.
