Oso is a very friendly, sometimes shy dog with a happy-go-lucky personality. He is a 3-year-old German Shepherd/Pit Mix weighing 83 lbs. Once he feels comfortable, Oso loves to cuddle and happily tag along with his people! Oso enjoys playing, puzzle toys, walks, and runs. He is an active dog who is treat driven and benefits from regular playtime and exercise. He may pull on walks if he hasn’t been played with beforehand and can get jumpy with new people if introductions happen too quickly, so slower, calm introductions work best. Oso is: • House-trained • Familiar with fenced yards • Gets along well with other dogs • Has not been acquainted with children • Has lived with senior male cats Medical Notes: Oso is neutered, microchipped, negative heart worm tested, and up to date on his rabies vaccine. He has seasonal allergies and a tear duct issue in his right eye that requires daily supplements and eye drops/gel, with topical treatment during flare-ups. If interested please reach out!

Story

My parents got her as a puppy for me while I was away for college as a surprise. Now that I am home she has been so lovely to be with, but I do not have the time to care for her as I got a job full-time now. She was born September 17th so she is six months now. She loves to play and go on walks. I taught her to sit, gimme paw, and we are working on laying down on command. She loves to cuddle so she sleeps with me. I just want her to go to a home that can care for her more than I can. I have pet supplies like pee pads, bones, bowls, shampoo, and toothbrushes. I can’t really go outside often since I am rarely home so we have her trained with a pee pad instead, though she knows she can go potty outside when I take her for walks as well. She is a very excitable puppy so I would probably not advise her being around any babies just to keep them safe.

Duke is great with kids and has a gentle, companion-oriented nature that makes him an easy addition to a loving home. He is housebroken and does well with routine. Duke is not neutered and may have occasional accidents when adjusting to a new environment, but with consistency and care, he thrives beautifully. Duke would do best in a home with stability and someone around more often, as frequent travel can cause him stress.
