Story

Sweet Maize (May-zee) needs a lot of attention. Adopted her from a shelter and have worked on her anxiety issues. She has come a long way She is good with cats and MOST dogs. One of our dogs is high energy and prone to aggression toward her. She deserves a safer space than we can provide. She exhibits PTSD-like behavior and needs a calm place with a regular routine. She is wary around men, and it takes a long time for her to not act terrified of them. She will not hurt kids, but the activity level may be a challenge for her. She needs a very patient female around willing to get her integrated into a new environment. She does okay on field trips with her person. Regular outings to regular places helps. She has been with us over a year, and it took a while to figure out her needs and learn what her challenges are, so I will be picky about placement, and rehoming will be with the agreement that if she is not a good fit, she is returned to us (not a shelter) as we try again.

I got Storm back in september I adopted him from the Lawrence humane society. Unfortunately due to living issues I can no longer keep him. He is so sweet he loves to cuddly loves to be outside and run around, He loves the play fetch and tug of war. I really need him to be taken within the next few days.

Honestly, I’m not looking for money, just a good home. Bernard is a sweet and incredibly loving dog, who just needs a lot more attention than I’m able to give him anymore. I can supply pretty much everything; bed, leash, some treats/bones (he destroys most cloth toys pretty instantly), and some other hygiene bits and bobs. I also have 5 months worth of flea/tick & heartworm meds (simparica). If you’d are interested, please let me know. He LOVES all people and (most) other dogs, so if you have another pup, he would probably get along with them great.
