Story
Gunner is a male black and tan hound mix, around 4 years old, and weighs around 50 pounds. Gunner was rescued from a rural small-town dog pound. Gunner is a good boy. He is crate-trained and goes into his crate when told. He obeys and comes when called. He rides well in a vehicle, sits for treats, and walks on a leash. He is good about baths. He is affectionate and loves human attention and petting. He loves toys, treats, and playing with other dogs. It is very hot here in Texas, and Gunner prefers to be inside and snoozing on the couch in the air conditioning. During the heat of the day, he will go out to potty and run, and wrestle with his friends for a short time, but then he is ready to come back inside to cool off. Being a hound, Gunner exhibits some typical hound behaviors. He goes ballistic over squirrels in the trees. He barks at people walking down the street and at other dogs and cats he sees in the neighborhood. He will counter-surf with his partners in crime. And if I forget to secure the cabinet with the baby lock, he and the other dogs will open it and raid the garbage. Gunner is a typical goofy and happy hound. Gunner is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He has been treated for heartworms. He is now heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gunner is available for adoption to approved applicants. He is located in Texas, but can be transported after he is adopted. His adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to El Dorado or Topeka, KS, or Pleasant Valley. MO. Story
Meet Twig   Twig is a young male puppy with an adventurous, loving personality and a great mix of playful and affectionate energy. While we haven’t met his parents, we’re guessing he’s a terrier mix and expect he’ll be around 35–45 lbs when fully grown.   Personality & Play Style: Twig is curious and playful, always ready to explore and make new friends. He enjoys playing with both people and other dogs and brings a fun, friendly energy wherever he goes.   Snuggles & Downtime: After his adventures, Twig is a loving pup who enjoys settling in and spending time close to his people.   Twig would do well in a home ready to continue training, structure, and socialization as he grows.   If you’re looking for a friendly, playful companion with a loving side, Twig could be your perfect match.     If interested. Story
Alfred is an amazingly smart and fun dog. He plays fetch, loves to lay in his bed and squeak his toys. He goes into his kennel when asked, goes outside to potty, and is starting to absolutely love car rides and adventures. He is the most loyal pup ever, always looking to his one person. We aren't sure of his breed, but he is spicy like a chi, protects you and your home like a min pin, and plays like a heeler. Alfred takes time to warm up to people, and it will take someone special to allow him the time he needs. But once you're in, you will have a loyal shadow and a dog you could train to do anything! Story
Hi, I’m Tito! I’m a dog with a big personality — full of energy, charm, and wiggles! When I meet new people or pups, I don’t just wag my tail — my whole body wiggles with joy! I love playing with all the dogs in my foster home (and any I meet on walks, too). My foster mom says I’m “one of a kind,” and I have to agree! I might be a little chatty, but that’s just my way of letting you know what’s on my mind. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion who brings smiles everywhere he goes, I’m your guy! Tito is winning hearts wherever he goes. His adoption fee is sponsored by the Burns family in loving memory of their sweet Annie Ready to meet me? Story
Meet Maya  Mya has been an absolute sweetheart in foster care — easygoing, gentle, and such a pleasant companion to have around. She’s the definition of “chill,” happy to relax by your side, soak up attention, and enjoy the simple things in life. She may be a little older, but she still has plenty of pep in her step and loves a good backyard run or a game of fetch, even if she’s a bit slower these days. Mya currently lives with two cats, three kittens, and a blue heeler. She enjoys being part of the family and loves all the attention she can get! She does well hanging out indoors with the other pets, though she can get a little excited and bossy outside during playtime or when toys are involved. She would likely do best with calmer dogs, as she doesn’t enjoy overly excited dogs getting in her face. If you’re looking for a sweet, laid-back companion with a playful side, Mya may be your perfect match. Story
Meet Bill-E — a sweet, snuggly boy with tons of personality!   Bill-E gets along great with other dogs and cats, loves meeting new people, and enjoys hanging out in the yard. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly and becomes your constant cuddle buddy.   He’s still working on house training and may mark inside, so he’ll need a patient home willing to continue helping him learn. When he gets playful, he does a funny little “silent snarl” with his lip — it looks dramatic but is just part of his goofy personality.   And his bark? Deep, raspy, and hilarious — like an old lady who smoked her whole life. Bill-E is truly one of a kind!
