Story
Poppy is a wonderful dog. She loves kids and other dogs. Dislikes cats. She has been a blessing to me, even though I adopted her being too she was a pug Chihuahua. I see no pug or chihuahua in her. I expected a much smaller dog. I am 69 years old and I am moving to a senior community. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to bring a dog her size. The best watch dog ever. Last night she quietly woke me up to alert me to police lights flashing outside. She rarely barks at night. If she did I would definitely pay attention. She has never shown any aggression to anyone. Just love. She loves carpet or area rugs. Hard floors scare her because she can’t get traction with her feet. We love her so much, but I just cannot take care of her now.

She will not be placed in a home where there are young children… she does not like them at all. It appears that she is not reactive to cats so, we can see how she does on a case-by-case basis.   She is crate trained and loves her separate space to be fed and her own sleeping quarters.  Shadow loves her “interactive” toys and figures the puzzles out quickly… I use these toys to keep her busy when I leave the house and it gives her something to focus on while I am walking out the door.  Again, this has been part of her training.  She has other toys she loves playing with and will fetch them, mostly indoors since she has other things to pay attention to outdoors.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2026, 9:43 pm

Story
Hudson is a 9 year old, tri-color English Shepherd. He was adopted as a puppy and has been with our family as an only dog for the last 9 years. He is a sweet boy that loves attention. He is energetic and animated. He is not great with other dogs as he is territorial. Since having a baby, he has become jealous of the baby and struggled with the transition. He would be best suited for a family that is able to provide him the love and attention and exercise he deserves. I recommend him for a household without young children where he can be an only dog.

Story
Sadly we are needing to find a new home for our Zoey girl. She is very sweet and energetic. She does well with kids (we have an 8 year old daughter, and 12 year old twin boys). She loves playing with our other puppy Harley (black lab). She has however been showing aggression towards our older dog Rider (9 year old Border Collie). She has bit him twice now. We keep all our dogs separated while feeding them. The times she bit my older dog was after we went out side and fed them some table scraps (chicken) It was after they each got their treats and the food was gone. I’m no expert, but I think what happened was that she might’ve thought he still had some, because she was sniffing around his face before she bit him. I maybe totally wrong about that, it’s just my opinion. I think she would do great with someone who doesn’t have any other dogs. We’ve really been struggling over this because our whole family loves her very much. I hope she can find someone who loves her as much as we do.

Very easy maintenance. Doesn't bark. Older dog that is very friendly and sits in her bed most of the day. Loves short walks and is ideal for a family that wants a quiet and loving dog that requires very little attention.
