You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Do you have a comfy couch? I’m Whitney, and I love to snuggle! I’m 4 ½ years old and 40 pounds of fluffy love. I get nervous in a busy house so I need a quiet place to call home. I’m crate trained, walk on a leash, and doing pretty well with my house training, but I need regular potty breaks. Do you have another pup I can play with? or snacks? I really love snacks….and being with my people! But I’m kinda scared of men. And I like cats and I don’t bark much! Come meet me at Petco! I was given Gunter by a family friend who bred him. He is the most amazing and beautiful dog I have ever seen. For his first 4 years he was my entire life. I took him on vacations, he went to work with me, I trained him in a dog sport called Schutzhund where I got his BH title. Anything I try to train him in he picks up very very quickly. He has an incredible desire to please and serve. Unfortunately, my job changed and I am no longer able to provide him the level of attention and activity he desperately needs and very much deserves. Thank you for your consideration in giving him what I no longer am able to but very much want to.

Story

Ruger is a loving, energetic, and anxious, Weimaraner/Pumi mix. We got him from a dog breeder last year when he was a puppy. He knows how sit and lay down on command. He is housebroken, neutered, and up to date on all shots and vaccinations. We give him a monthly heart worm and flea & tick chewable. As mentioned before, he is very anxious. He needs to be close to someone regularly. He does not do well left alone, especially in a kennel. He is very energetic and loves to run. We try to take him for a walk everyday but he always could use more. We want to find a home for Ruger where he can run openly and have someone that can be with him all day. We have a fenced backyard that isn’t enough space for him. Ruger is well-behaved as long as someone is around. Great around children. When we have to go to work or run an errand, he drools excessively and sometimes hurts himself in his kennel. Per our vet, we have tried meds, but we don’t like that approach. We just want what’s best for Ruger.
