Story
Our sweet boy named Rocky is looking for his forever home. He is a shepherd mix who is great with people, kids and other dogs. He is always ready for an adventure and needs a handler who is able/willing to meet his needs. He loves to work, so if you live an active lifestyle and would enjoy a dog that you could train to do pretty much anything, then this is your guy! Rocky recently graduated from a 4 week off-leash training program and his obedience has been proofed in high distraction settings - coffee shops, breweries, hiking trails, etc.

Story
Luna is a spunky 5 year old, spayed female Shiba Inu that was found wandering in PA 2 years ago. She was spayed, microchipped, housebroken, and crate trained, but her old owners claimed they rehomed her and did not want her back. My family took her in and realized she’s very affectionate and playful with adults and LOVES to travel and hike, but unfortunately she’s always been reactive with our other dog and cats. She would thrive as an only dog in an adult-only home, and unfortunately that is not something we are able to provide. She loves a good bully stick and a nylabone and will do just about anything for cheese. She’s a wonderful girl and she just needs a new home with better accommodations for her to thrive.

Story
Penny is a sweet little lady that we received from a rescue in 2020. She loves to run, and patrol her yard. She likes playing with other dogs. She also likes playing with cats, even though our cat isn’t the biggest fan of her. She loves kids. She was my son’s best friend. My son recently developed a severe allergic allergy to the dog, which actually ended up in the hospital for him along with an allergy test to see the trigger. We are extremely sad to find Penny a new home, but she deserves a family who is able to cuddle her and let her roam the house freely without limitations.

Story
We adopted Rosie when she was only 9 weeks old. She has lived with our family that consisted of two kids and two cats and most recently this year a newborn baby. She has always been friendly and kind with the children and curious and kind to the cats. With our kids becoming more involved with sports these days and the new baby our schedules have become too busy to allow Rosie the attention she really deserves. We hope to find her a loving new home with a family who can appreciate all the love she has to offer.

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 30, 2026, 6:45 pm
