Story
Boo has had a lot of stressful and confusing transition in her short life. She was surrendered to our rescue after her owner was diagnosed with a serious illness. She had only been with her for a few months and previously in her original home from what we have been told she lived with other dogs in both of these homes. Due to the urgency of her situation we placed her into a foster to adopt home. This unfortunately did not work out due to an incident with the other dog in the house. She has been tested with other dogs and cats and with structure and boundaries would be ready for a new dog friend. She currently lives with a cat. We are working on some separation anxiety that developed due to her being bounced around so much. She is doing really well and loves her foster mom. Boo loves to go for walks and likes to snuggle. She is very intelligent and wants to please you. Home visit and adoption donation required. Boo is @ 1.5 yrs old.

Story
Khan is a very handsome young pit bull looking for an active/structured house. Having been abandoned at the shelter, we don't know any specifics about his background. We do know that he LOVES humans and craves attention! Khan is extremely energetic and very strong. When we first met him he had absolutely no manners. He can get overstimulated and will jump or nip to get your attention. He has completed Intro-to-Training class twice and walks with a Gentle Leader and a chest harness. He will benefit greatly from continued consistency with his training and commands. He is very smart, and he shows that he can absolutely be a Good Dog with consistent handling (and the right yummy incentives). After more than a year here at the shelter, he is much calmer and better able to process his surroundings. His loves are car rides, walks, swimming, and PEOPLE! At 65-70 lbs his strength can be a challenge. His jump has a 5-6 foot clearance from standing! Khan has not shown any signs of aggression toward other dogs but he does forget his manners in an effort to play with them. We have not specifically cat-tested Khan, but he has been in our lobby where he can see cats and he is very interested in them. We suspect that he would chase anything smaller than himself.

Story
Bernie is a 3 y/o half Great Pyrenees/half Bernese Mountain Dog. He is goofy, loving, silly, playful and friendly. His older (non related) brother is a cattle dog mix and they have not been getting along lately. Bernie is used to a fenced in back yard and would need a leash without a fence. He loves car rides and playing at the dog park. He gets along with cats and dogs but has not really been around kids. I’ve had him since he was 9 weeks old, bought (unfortunately) and he has some mild separation anxiety. He has a typical prey drive and wants to chase bunnies, squirrels, etc. He is working on his manners but does know his basic commands. His ideal home would have plenty of outside space for him and love to give scratches and affection! If you’ve read this far, hopefully you’re still interested! Bernie does show mild food aggression towards other dogs occasionally. Other than that, he’s mostly a typical big goofy dog with a happy-go-lucky personality who does not like to miss out!

Story
Miles was originally rescued in Tennessee as a puppy due to a hoarding situation. He was adopted by me and my son in August 2023. Unfortunately, due to job loss I am being forced to sell my home and move in with family. I am unable to take this boy with us and it is heartbreaking. Miles needs to be in a home with a yard that he can run. He spends a lot of time outside and prefers to be outdoors whenever possible. He is wonderful with children but I would recommend the child be at least 5 and experienced with dogs. Miles is extremely loving and gets very excited (we have been working on his jumping). He is crate trained, and fully house broken. He loves to chew and has many toys that he loves to play with! He is 1 year old, UTD on all vaccines until August 2024. All of his items including his crate will be provided. We are heartbroken to part with our boy but we want him to have the best home.

Story
Trooper is a loving dog, but he has some fears. He is scared of going outside and needs a house with a fenced in yard to help him acclimate. He does not like loud noises. He also gets very energetic inside the house and needs to be around children older than 5. He is playful but sometimes too much and does not realize his size when he runs around.
