Story

Mochi is a beautiful 1 year and 2 months old, 22 lb male dog. He was abandoned on the streets, where I found him two months ago. I brought him home, updated all of his vaccines, and had him neutered. He has been with me ever since. Mochi is calm, loyal, smart, and house-trained. He can be timid with other dogs at first and will sometimes hide behind me when we encounter them on walks, but he clearly wants to play once he feels safe. With time and positive socialization he will do very well. He has a similar reaction to children who approach him suddenly, so a patient home that understands gentle introductions would be ideal. He enjoys chasing cats, so a cat-free home may be best. Despite his rough start, Mochi has been a wonderful companion - he is affectionate, playful, and deeply bonded to his person. I love Mochi very much, but I travel often and cannot provide the stable home he deserves. What he needs is love and someone who will continue his progress. I truly hope he finds it!

Story

Biscuit and Blizzard came to FARM in need of a new forever home. They are two year old, neutered male, Bichon mix brothers who are looking for a great new home where they can stay together and get lots of love and attention. Biscuit weighs 21 pounds, and Blizzard weighs 16 pounds. They love each other, sleep together, and play well together. Blizzard is more adventurous, and Biscuit is a little more shy. Both will bark when they first meet new people and, in the next hour, they will be your best friends. Blizzard and Biscuit love to be with people, love attention, and love to play together in a secure fenced in yard. They seem very housebroken, but will probably need some assistance when they go to a new home. Although Biscuit and Blizzard would do ok in separate homes (they love other small sociable dogs), we are hoping to find these two brothers a new home together. My name is Talia and I urgently need a great new home. (I have been returned to FARM twice through no fault of my own.) I am a 4 1/2 year old spayed female Beagle weighing 35 pounds. I did well in my last home with my owner's cat and I have also done well at doggie day care with other well socialized dogs. I am an affectionate girl who loves people, loves to cuddle, and loves to play with my toys. My former owner says I am quite a jumper, so I need a home with a high fence. I am also an exuberant walker and do well walking with my training collar. My former owner also wanted you to know that I did well with older kids, dogs, and cats. I have been told that I am very smart and highly trainable. (I am a graduate of the training program at Best Friends Furever.) I like to play with other small dogs, so having a dog buddy would be nice, but I especially like to spend time with my human. Max came to FARM in need of a forever home. He is a one year old, nine pound neutered male Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Max came to us not knowing much, anxious and unsure of himself. He quickly grew to trust his fosters and has become a very sweet, loving little fella. Max is eager to please his fosters and is happiest by your side. He is non dominant, and follows along behind the two other dogs in the home. He is learning to be on a leash, and we are working on housetraining. He does seem to know how to use pee pads. Max could stand to gain a couple pounds. We suspect his first chapter was one of benign neglect. We are very eager for him to find a home where he can be adored.
