Story
Woofie is a sweet boy who came to our rescue in the spring of 2022 after being surrendered to a shelter when he was just eight months old.  Woofie struggled with anxiety and desperately needed to build confidence.  In July of 2023, Woofie was accepted into the Happy Hounds Prison Dog Program where he worked on leash walking, basic obedience, and socializing with other dogs.    He completed his time in the program and is now looking for an adopter to call his own. His anxiety has greatly approved and he has done well with some other dogs with a slow and proper intro.  Woofie will need patience and love in his forever home and would benefit from ongoing training and socialization.  He is neutered, current on vaccines and preventatives, and is microchipped.  He would do best in a home without young children.  Interested in Woofie? Story
Maddox is a 2 year old German Shepherd who didn't have the easiest of starts in life. He came to us severely emaciated, with open sores and little hair from lack of veterinary care. Maddox's skin resolved with antibiotics, flea and tick preventatives and high quality dog food. He has gained over twenty pounds since entering our care in March of 2025. He looks and feels amazing! Maddox has been vaccinated and neutered, he is on monthly preventatives and is microchipped.   Now that Maddox is looking and feeling amazing he is looking for a home to call his now. Maddox will need a firm leader with breed experience. He is working on basic manners but he had a poor foundation in life, we can only assume he had little interaction to build this foundation. He is a fast learner and very treat motivated! Maddox does not care for cats or small dogs. He would do best with older children as his exuberance for life could easily knock a little one down! If you are looking for a smart, loyal companion to train Maddox is your guy! Maddox's adoption fee is $400. May 2, 2025, 10:47 am

Story
Preston aka Bingo aka Potato 6.5 years old 78# Pit Mix This hunk of love was adopted from us in 2019 as a young puppy. Over the summer he entered a local animal shelter as a stray. They contacted the owners on the microchip who advised they gave him away the week before. And they did not want him back. Preston was in an out of foster care through the shelter but never could find a good placement. We learned about him this past week and took him back. What we have learned: Bingo wants all of the cuddles and to be a part of the family. If you're in the kitchen so is he. If you're on the couch, so is he. He loves car rides and rides better than my kids. He walks amazingly on a harness that will come with him and he is house trained. He seems to be ok with calm dogs that leave him alone. And he absolutely loves kids, because kids give him attention and food. He takes treats SO gently. Even though he loves everyone, he REALLY loves men. Men can get him rough housing and jumping/mouthing/playing like a young pup. He does have some stiffness in his legs, possibly made worse by being a little overweight. He will come with any leftover joint supplements and his brand new XXL orthopedic bed. Bingo is neutered and FULLY vetted. His fee is FULLY sponsored. He just needs a perfect home that won't give up on him. If you're that family, please send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com. Foster location: Middle River, MD

Story
The 4 Jack Russels enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal today as we got to learn their personalities a little bit. These pups average 7-9 pounds and *appear* to be all/mostly Jack Russel. Cinnamon- sweetest of the bunch. Still loves to play but will happily sit in your lap and seek out being held. Acorn- very playful and thinks he's a grizzly bear, also good with being held. Most JR personality of the group. Ginger- sweet and playful, likes cuddles. Chestnut- shyest of them all, does better with humans than crazy dogs. They see the vet 12/2 and will be available for adoption after that. The entire family must be present and we do not allow gifts/ surprises. They will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, have 1 parvo/distemper to start, bordatella vaccine, and rabies vaccine Please send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com to add one to your family. Foster location: Harford County, MD

Story
Meet Graham! Graham is a 2 year old Shepherd mix. He is a fun guy with a lot of personality and energy. Graham would love to find an active adopter who enjoys the outdoors. His foster tells us that he loves to play tug and plays with his toy stick in the yard. He loves his deer antler and peanut butter filled bones at night. He enjoys chest rubs and learning new things. She tells us his mind is "ready to work". He very much wants to please his "person". He is currently in dog school learning some basic manners and will come with his training provided by Obedient Blue to his new family at no cost.   We feel Graham is highly trainable and would do best with an adopter who has dog experience, at this time we feel he would do best in a home without other animals or young children as he needs an adopter who can dedicate the time and attention to him.   Graham is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and preventatives. Thank you Lyndsay at Obedient Blue for fostering Graham! February 14, 2025, 3:09 pm
