Story
Lita is a 23 lb mixed breed mutt. Her breeds include dalmatian, cocker spaniel, Chihuahua & American Staffordshire terrier amoung others. We estimate her to be around 8 yrs old. She is a sweet girl that came from a bad situation. She was found in a home with a dozen other dogs & their deceased owner. We don't know how long the dogs were there alone without access to food & water. Although Lita has done well with dogs her size & larger, she does need to be fed separately from others. She prefers to eat in her crate. Her crate is her safe space. Loud noises make her nervous and she will run for her crate. She has done well with the cats she has met. No small children as they make her nervous. No small critters like rabbits, ferrets, etc. She has a strong prey drive & loves to chase squirrels in her foster home. Lita has been waiting more than 3 years to find a loving home. A secure fenced yard is required as she is a flight risk when scared. Lita is a happy playful girl once she feels safe. She is being fostered in Harford County Md. Her adoption fee is waived. Thank you

Details

Story
Louie is a sweet and energetic German Shepard/Saint Bernard mix. He loves affection and to go for runs. He will need a family that has a large fenced in yard or farm. His family will need to be active as a simple walk once or twice a day will not be good night for him. He needs physical and mental stimulation as he has a lot of energy. He loves kids but would be better with a family that has older kids due to him being a wiggle butt and not realizing his size. He is 2 years old and about 75-80 lbs. I am in the process of getting him neutered prior to his adoption. Other than that he is in perfect health and updated on shots. He can be shy at first but warms up to people fast. He has done well with other large friendly dogs but has not been around smaller dogs. He does shed a lot so be prepared to sweep every day. All applicants must provide proof of outdoor area where he will play. The rehoming fee is negotiable.

Daisy is a sweet playful 7 yr old, 20 lb Chug. She loves being outdoors. She was surrendered to rescue due to her medical issue. Daisy has degenerative disk disease & a pinched nerve in her neck. It typically does not bother her. If she plays to hard, she may feel a little sore and need to rest. She may need pain meds on occasion. No surgery or further treatment is required. She has done well with the other dogs, cat & ducks in rescue. No young kids due to her condition. She is slightly high energy & loves attention. Please tell us about your household if interested. Thank you!

Story
This is a very special dog. We adopted him knowing that he was mistreated by prior ownership. He was left outside all the time so he really struggles with staying in the yard. He's so full of love and he's very protective but the abuse has left him with out the understanding of how to behave sometimes. He had to learn that he would be feed and he had to learn that we would let him back inside. My Dad can't handle him anymore and I have a special needs dog that I don't think would interact with him kindly.

Layla is a great, loving, kind of anxious girl. She’s a little shy at first but once she’s comfortable around you, she’s a big goofball. She is good with well behaved kids and enjoys playing with other dogs. Layla is crate trained, house broken, does well on a leash with some guidance, and is working on off leash training.
