Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **The girls have unique requirements**  My beautiful Chessie/Lab sisters Cher & Sienna. (1) Must be adopted together, and the adoption fee is waived for one of them. They came from a previously severely abusive home when they were pups & (2) are waiting for the perfect family to come along that must have previous experience with abused dogs. They are very sweet and gentle & love kind & tender attention.    Cher is a very shy yet charming canine on a journey to find a patient parent(s) with a relaxed lifestyle. She's looking for someone who can offer gentle guidance to help her come out of her shell. If you treat her sweetly and kindly, she promises to blossom in your care. Meet Our Shy but Sweet Canine Duo - Lab/Chessie Sisters Sienna and Cherry, our Lab/Chessie sisters, have had a challenging start in life. They require a special family with personal experience in caring for abused dogs. These pups have unique needs stemming from their traumatic past, akin to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Both Sienna and Cherry are on medication called Clonidine, which has significantly improved their well-being and is affordable at only $10 for 180 tablets from Walmart. Background Sienna and Cherry's journey began when they were rescued at the tender age of 5 months. They were starving and scared but have now transformed into beautiful and loving dogs under our care. Personality While initially shy, these sisters have charming personalities that shine through once they feel safe and loved. They yearn for an home that can provide patience and a relaxed lifestyle to help them fully recover from their past traumas. Requirements We are seeking a family with personal experience in caring for abused dogs. Sienna and Cherry need a family that understands their history and is committed to continuing their healing and trust-building journey. Physical Characteristics As of now, both dogs weigh around 75 lbs when fully grown. There are a few videos below so you can see how they react here in their foster home. Witness their incredible transformation in this video, from their first arrival as scared, starving pups to their thriving selves today.  How to Adopt If you have the love, patience, and experience to provide a forever home to these deserving Lab/Chessie sisters, please  read our adoption requirements & if you can meet or exceed them, you can apply online. Your kindness can help them fully embrace the loving life they deserve. Let's give these sisters the second chance they've been waiting for. Together, we can make their future brighter and full of love. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please Note We have a strict requirement that they can only be adopted by a family with personal experience in caring for abused dogs. Our lovely Lab/Chessie sisters were abused in their previous lives in VA. While they've made great progress in their foster home, they are initially nervous around humans. However, with time and patience, they warm up and show no aggression, only a deep longing for trust and love. We accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal & Credit Cards for the adoption fee.      About LNF Dogs/Puppies: All dogs and puppies have undergone temperament testing. They live in foster homes. They are housebroken (puppies are paper-trained) and crate trained. They have been microchipped for identification purposes. They have been tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, and Lyme disease. Each dog is on year-round Heartworm medication while in the rescue's care. They are up-to-date with Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo, and Leptospirosis vaccines. They have been wormed. Adoption Fee: The adoption fee includes 30 days of FREE pet insurance, with an option to purchase additional coverage. Adoption Requirements: A minimum physical fence of 4 feet in height is mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may require a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence, as noted in their profiles. Story
Kay'Cee is a sweet girl full of wiggles. She is on the small side for a two year old rotti but her heart is huge. We rescued her from a situation that left her malnourished and undertrained. She was already fixed when we brought her home. In the year she has been with our family she has integrated well with kids and small dogs. She loves to be wherever you are and stays under your feet. Most of the issues she came with have been resolved and she's a great pooch. She has a odd gait and after assessment and xrays we learned she has slightly torn tendons in both hind legs. Occaissionally she limps when playing too hard. The only long term solution is unfortunately surgery.
