???? Meet Dolly — Our Songbird Sweetheart! ????This adorable girl earned the name Dolly because she loves the sound of her own voice — and honestly, we do too! Just like her namesake, she’s got a lot to say and a lot of charm behind it. ????Dolly showed up at her finder’s home and stayed close for several days. After confirming she wasn’t returning to a family, her finder had her scanned for a microchip — but none was found. Even after multiple social media posts, no one came forward to claim her.So now, this sweet and spunky little lady is officially ready to find her forever family. ????? What we’ve learned about Dolly:• 6 years old, 39.2 lbs• Spayed, microchipped & UTD on vaccines• Likely very housebroken• Knows sit• Sweet, smart, and affectionate• LOVES “singing” and chatting with her people ????• Met another dog here and even joined a playgroup• Can be a bit selective with her dog friends — meet-and-greets recommended• BIG fan of cheese ?? (instant friendship starter!)Dolly may be a diva with a voice, but she’s also full of kindness, charm, and so much love to give. We always recommend meet-and-greets with any children or dogs in the home to ensure the perfect match. And don’t forget the 3-3-3 rule when bringing home a shelter pet — every adjustment takes time. ??Come meet Dolly and see if this sweet, cheese-loving songbird is the furever friend you’ve been waiting for! ?????? Story
??Meet Sir Edward: The Majestic Husky ??All rise for Sir Edward! At 5 years old, this regal husky carries himself with true nobility and charm. With his dignified looks and gracious spirit, Edward is sure to turn heads wherever he goes.Sir Edward came to us after his family lost their palace ?? and had to move to a new one that, sadly, couldn’t accommodate a dog of his royal stature. He’s been loved since puppyhood and is used to living both indoors and outdoors. He’s crate trained, too—always a gentleman in his quarters!Edward has been around children ?? and is playful and gentle with them. He also got along well with his former doggy ?? housemate, Bubba, showing that he’s truly a friend to all in the kingdom.Don’t let his age fool you—Sir Edward is still a classic, high-energy husky who will need an active family that understands his need for daily adventure and exercise. He already knows how to sit and takes treats with the gentlest manners—a testament to his royal upbringing. If you’re ready to welcome a noble soul into your family, Sir Edward awaits his next royal chapter. Come meet him at the shelter (??430 Bristol Dr., Statesville, NC) and see if your castle is ready for a king!

?? Meet Madea: Big Personality, Bigger Heart! ?? If you’ve ever seen Tyler Perry’s Madea, you know she’s sassy, bold, and always the life of the party. Our Madea might not wear a wig or crack jokes, but she’s got that same unstoppable spirit and infectious energy! Madea is a 72lb bundle of joy who truly doesn’t realize her size—she’ll toss her weight around like she’s light as a feather, especially when she’s excited (which is all the time)! Treats make her extra wiggly, and you can’t help but grin when you’re around her—her happiness is absolutely contagious. This girl is all about fun and living in the moment. When she meets other dogs, her enthusiasm sometimes gets the best of her, and she tends to ignore doggy etiquette. Even when another dog gives her a warning bark, Madea just keeps on trying to play—she’ll definitely need to work on her canine communication skills. She’s a strong walker and can pull on the leash, so she’d love someone who can help her learn to take it slow and enjoy the stroll. With a little training and a lot of love, Madea will make you laugh ?? every single day.If you’re ready for a sassy, happy, and endlessly loving companion, Madea is your girl! Come meet her at the shelter (??430 Bristol Dr., Statesville, NC) and see if she’s the Madea to your family’s story.

Story
Meet Nami! ??This 3-year-old sweetheart came to us as a stray after her finder spotted her along a busy road while visiting family. When a microchip was discovered, we were hopeful that a reunion with her family would soon follow. Unfortunately, the number listed on her chip was no longer in service, and the microchip company confirmed that her previous owner—who had only adopted her in October 2024—could not be reached. While she was featured on our website during her stray hold, no one came forward to reclaim her. With that chapter closed, we’re now focused on helping Nami find the loving, dependable forever family she truly deserves. ??We don’t know much about her past, but we do know this: she is an absolute joy! Nami was recently tested with a similar-sized spayed female, and she did wonderfully. She approached with friendly curiosity, tail wagging non-stop, and her playful energy shined. This little muscular cutie has a big heart and an even bigger enthusiasm for making new friends. Now fully vetted—including being spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives—Nami is officially ready for adoption and ready to start fresh. ??If you’d like to meet this adorable little “body-builder” of a pup, please stop by the shelter! As always, we recommend meet-and-greets with any dogs and children in the home to ensure a great fit for everyone. And don’t forget the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet—it helps set everyone up for success! 3 days to decompress (overwhelmed), 3 weeks to learn routines and start feeling safe (showing personality), and 3 months (or longer) to fully relax, bond, and feel like they belong!!Nami – A3115473 years old • Spayed female • 42 lbs • Microchipped • UTD on vaccines & preventatives#adoptfromicas #myicasrescue
