Story
Meet Selena! This super sweet, energetic, and loving girl is ready for her forever home! She is an absolute goofball and is welcoming to any and everyone. It's hard not to fall in love with her. Selena is fully potty trained and has had no accidents despite recently living in a boarding facility. Selena is a high energy dog who loves to run around and burn off lots of energy! Her favorite thing to do is go on a long walk at the end of the day. Selena would thrive with an owner who can dedicate a couple of hours a day of exercising her. Selena would best fit in a home with no cats or small animals given her history of liking to chase small animals. Selena is quite the escape artist and can break out of a normal wire crate. She is also super snuggly and loves getting lots of attention. She does have a heart murmur that has been assessed by a cardiologist - she has no symptoms, so she is currently on a twice a day pill that she takes in a treat! If you're looking for a sweet, cuddly, and energetic pup, Selena might be the perfect match for you!Adoption fee of $150 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and heartworm/flea/tick preventionApply here: http://2pawsup.org/2pawsup_wp/forms/adoption-form/April 22, 2024, 5:50 am

Eros is all the puppy energy you could ask for in a fully grown medium sized dog. Sweet, smart and easy to train, this boy loves to play with dogs, cats, and people. He's crate trained and house trained. This little pit mix is the definition of super chewer! He loves to gnaw gnaw gnaw his toys, so teeth-safe durable toys are a must! He will happily take on destuffing a plush toy, though he tends to try to ingest anything he shreds, so supervised destuffing is necessary.Eros LOVES couches! He has shown little interest in sleeping on the bed with his foster siblings/parents. His go-to sleep, nap, and sit place is the couch.Eros would love a dog sibling to play with, and while he likes cats, he can be a bit much, so any feline siblings need to be dog savvy and have places to get up and away from his antics. He is learning leash manners, but will need continued education in this area. He's not aggressive, just impatient and overly excited to gogogo.Adoption fee of $150 includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and heartworm/flea/tick preventionApply here: http://2pawsup.org/2pawsup_wp/forms/adoption-form/April 22, 2024, 5:50 am

Story
Sasha is such a sweet girl. She was brought to the shelter full of milk and emaciated. It was obvious she had a tough start to life. This sweet girl deserves her happily ever after. She is extremely loving and doesn't know a stranger. She is happy to meet anyone as long as they provide tons of head scratches. She's doing well with potty, leash and crate training. She will need someone to continue her lessons. She's very smart and treat motivated. She is very excited when meeting new dogs and has done well with them off her home turf. Sasha is protective of her home, so it is important that she be the only pet.  Apply to meet Sasha and you're sure to get a new best friend. Adoption fee of $150 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and heartworm/flea/tick preventionApply here: http://2pawsup.org/2pawsup_wp/forms/adoption-form/April 22, 2024, 5:50 am

Story
Hi! Let me introduce you to Justin Bieber. I've fostered 100+ dogs and let me tell you that he's one of the easiest and low maintenance fosters I've had to date. He is housebroken and crate trained. In fact, he LOVES his crate. He chooses to sleep in there at night even if the door is open. We thought he needed a backyard but he really doesn't. He is my shadow and sleeps near me all day. He follows me around and flops down wherever I am. My personal dog (a lab mix) chooses to be outside but he chooses to be wherever I am. He ignores my 7 lb dog and she ignores him so he would do just fine in a home with cats. He’s a gentle soul. He LOVES to go for walks. He gets so excited when he sees the leash. Bonus, he walks well on the leash! He knows basic obedience (sit, down, come, kennel up, stay). He does not counter surf and he does not beg for food. He does not destroy stuff or toys. He’s such a good boy! He loves to be brushed and doesn't mind water so bathing him is easy. He loves other dogs. I would actually prefer to place him in a home with another dog because he trusts people faster if they have a dog. He has no resource guarding issues. He shares toys, he doesn't try to eat my dogs' food. He is very food motivated and learns quickly. He loves routine and definitely learned the routine quickly here. He sounds pretty perfect, right? He is pretty darn close to it. So what is JB’s main quirk? He is fearful fella. Once he trusts you though, it is magical. It doesn’t take him long to trust but like all new dogs that enter a new home, social pressure should never be applied. You must get them used to you at their own pace as well as their new environment. He figures it out pretty quickly though. He does tend to trust women a bit quicker than men. Possibly because a woman has always been his main caretaker. Because he can be skittish, a quieter home would be best for him. Therefore, no small kids. If there are kids in the home, older teenagers would be best. He is an extremely sweet and loving dog. If you have an Instagram account, you can look up catherine_fosterdogs and look at the Highlight entitled “Justin” for additional videos and pictures of him.

Story
Are you looking for a quiet, well-mannered, affectionate companion? Solo might be that adorable 4-legged friend that you’ve been looking for! He is sweet and with your direction, he is good at meeting strangers and other dogs. He will settle at an outdoor cafe and he walks great with a pack of dogs. He is so sweet and is rock solid on basic commands (sit, stay, down, come) so he is an easy dog to welcome into your home - IF you are able to manage his environment - so, Solo is looking for the following in his next home: NO KIDS Friendly resident dog who likes to play Humans who have a consistent routine and practice positive training Training - he’s made great progress so we are looking for someone able to manage his environment and continue to work on teaching him alternative behavior to resource guarding. You can work with one of our trainers! More about Solo: Solo is part of the Star Wars litter of 5 born in program on April 15th, 2022. Health: Excellent Housetrained: Reliably house-trained. No accidents. Personality Trait : Very well behaved - knows basic commands (sit, stay, down, come), mellow, content to chew on his bone, smart & responsive. Solo is uncertain in new situations but once comfortable, he is super sweet and super affectionate with his people! Why is he in rescue - well he has a history of Resource Guarding. Interaction with other dogs: LOVES his furry friends with proper introductions! He has always lived with another dog - even in fostering - and finds comfort and courage from his doggy sibling. He LOVES to run and play. He takes treats nicely right next to the resident dog and shares his toys after earning his trust. Interaction with cats: Not tested but he lived in a home with a bunny. Child requirements: No children because of his resource guarding tendencies. Fence requirements: Not required - he’s great on leash! General activity level: Medium to Low - he will initially sprint out the door and run and wrestle with the resident dog but he settles downs and naps right next to you for most of the day. However, he has the endurance for a 4 mile walk and would love to sniff new areas! Work Schedule best suited for: Any but ideally someone who can provide a mid-day potty break; he is crate trained for meals, bedtime and when you leave the house. Leash manners: Walks nicely - non-reactive (no barking, lunging) Car Ride: Great! - settles down for the entire trip. Type of training required: He needs management of his environment while he continues to work on his conditioning to alternative choices to resource guarding. He does well with a consistent routine, structure and prevention of getting things he could consider his. He is a perfect house guest with management of his environment.

Story
Hey there! My name is Bruce Waggis and I have a question for you - can I be your dog?!? You would never know by looking at my happy pics but 2023 was not a great year for me. I was in the shelter, underweight with a bad skin infection, scared and shut down from the world. But NRGRR saved me and gave me a second chance Here are some things you should know about me: I need a family who is dedicated and patient in helping me overcome my fears. I am shy and timid in new surroundings and need continued work to help me feel safe and secure. I prefer walking in the woods or trails away from cars as they really scare me. I'm unsure of new people but I’m learning to trust. Little kids would probably scare me so only older children or no children homes for me. I love to eat and love carrots. I get so excited during meal times and will go to my spot and wait patiently for you to bring my food. I love toys but playing ball is my jam! I prefer this over walking. I need a fenced-in yard so I can play ball - I'm really good at bringing it back and I’m working on dropping it. I am a great catcher too! I'm ok with other dogs who are really chill but probably best as an only dog as I can get jealous. I am not a fan of the crate and don't need one; I am trustworthy and don’t chew on things except my toys. I don't ask for much [except to play ball]. I'm a homebody and love being at home with you. If you want to watch TV I will be content to snuggle on the couch with you. So what do you think - can I be your BFF? I am ready whenever you are!
