Story
Meet Selena! This super sweet, energetic, and loving girl is ready for her forever home! She is an absolute goofball and is welcoming to any and everyone. It's hard not to fall in love with her. Selena is fully potty trained and has had no accidents despite recently living in a boarding facility. Selena is a high energy dog who loves to run around and burn off lots of energy! Her favorite thing to do is go on a long walk at the end of the day. Selena would thrive with an owner who can dedicate a couple of hours a day of exercising her. Selena would best fit in a home with no cats or small animals given her history of liking to chase small animals. Selena is quite the escape artist and can break out of a normal wire crate. She is also super snuggly and loves getting lots of attention. She does have a heart murmur that has been assessed by a cardiologist - she has no symptoms, so she is currently on a twice a day pill that she takes in a treat! If you're looking for a sweet, cuddly, and energetic pup, Selena might be the perfect match for you!Adoption fee of $150 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and heartworm/flea/tick preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/October 2, 2024, 1:51 am

Story
Eros is all the puppy energy you could ask for in a fully grown medium sized dog. Sweet, smart and easy to train, this boy loves to play with dogs, cats, and people. He's crate trained and house trained. This little pit mix is the definition of super chewer! He loves to gnaw gnaw gnaw his toys, so teeth-safe durable toys are a must! He will happily take on destuffing a plush toy, though he tends to try to ingest anything he shreds, so supervised destuffing is necessary.Eros LOVES couches! He has shown little interest in sleeping on the bed with his foster siblings/parents. His go-to sleep, nap, and sit place is the couch.Eros would love a dog sibling to play with, and while he likes cats, he can be a bit much, so any feline siblings need to be dog savvy and have places to get up and away from his antics. He is learning leash manners, but will need continued education in this area. He's not aggressive, just impatient and overly excited to gogogo.Adoption fee of $150 includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and heartworm/flea/tick preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/October 2, 2024, 1:51 am

Story
Sasha is such a sweet girl. She was brought to the shelter full of milk and emaciated. It was obvious she had a tough start to life. This sweet girl deserves her happily ever after. She is extremely loving and doesn't know a stranger. She is happy to meet anyone as long as they provide tons of head scratches. She's doing well with potty, leash and crate training. She will need someone to continue her lessons. She's very smart and treat motivated. She is very excited when meeting new dogs and has done well with them off her home turf. Sasha is protective of her home, so it is important that she be the only pet.  Apply to meet Sasha and you're sure to get a new best friend. Adoption fee of $150 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and heartworm/flea/tick preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/October 2, 2024, 1:51 am

Story
There's two phrases that fit this situation: Good things come to those who wait; and good things come in small packages. At 40lbs, she may not seem small to some, but in a home where the average dog weight is 75-80lbs, she's the little bitty one!  Have you been waiting for an adorable girl with the cutest underbite ever?  Well wait no more!  This little girl, official name Sugar, but affectionately called Ma'amins by her foster mom, is ready to find her forever this time.  She was originally a shelter stray, so there's no information about her background or previous life. Everything we know we've learned while she's been in a foster home.  She currently lives with two large neutered male dogs, but she also had a large spayed female foster sister for a couple months until she got adopted.  She challenged the female, who had no issue putting her in her place a few times. Then they were best friends. But her future friends may be a better fit if they're male. Sugar likes to wrestle. Despite being more than half the size of her opponents!  She gets the zoomies at night, racing around the house, trying to engage her brothers in play.  Her teeth are ground down in the front. No idea how or when it happened.  This is mentioned because she likes to play using her mouth at times. And it doesn't hurt because 1. She doesn't put much pressure behind it, and 2. She basically just gums you.  She likes to lick and give smooches as well. Yes, she's very kissy!  She's not very snuggly, however. Choosing to be more like a cat in that she'll hang out next to you, but usually not on you. If she gets in your lap, she usually wants something lol, so it doesn't last long.  And when she wants something, there's no concept of personal space. Ha!  House training has been a bit challenging, but we've worked out a good system. She can last about 5 hours. But she's also pee pads trained (helpful that her foster brother is a senior who needs a little help in that department as well). She isn't crated during the day, preferring to sleep on the couch. She has a few minor "issues" when it comes to crates/feeding that are easily managed. But because of those issues, it's recommended she not be in a home with young children.  And she's on medication due to minor seizure activity.  Not the typical seizures, thankfully. But now that she's properly medicated, there's been no issues since!  She's young (approximately a year old, give or take), spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives and ready for prime time. She is a happy girl who will waggily greet you at the door when you come home every day with silly woo-woo sounds! And would do fine as an only dog as well.  Nothing is known about how she is with cats, but we're willing to meet yours if you have a dog savvy cat.  She gets a kick out of telling the neighbors to get off her lawn lol. She doesn't realize her size and interesting bark make her less than intimidating!   Needless to say, this little button is quite the character. Let us know if you'd like to meet her! Do you have the heart and home to give this girl the best for the rest? Adoption fee of $150 includes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and heartworm/flea/tick preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/October 2, 2024, 1:51 am

Story
If you want some extra fun in your life, Owen may be the dog for you! He appears to be a hound mix, which shows through his love, loyalty, and voice! Owen’s favorite activities are cuddling, playing with his stuffed toys, and exploring the yard. He still has some learning to do, but he picks up tricks quickly and is very treat-motivated. He loves to show off his skills! Owen is house-trained and crate-trained. He likes his crate, quietly stays in it when we are out of the house, and sleeps in it through the night. He is solid on his basic commands: sit, stay, come, down. He happily wants to join in on all of your activities. Owen was the only puppy in his first foster home, but is now in a foster home with 4 resident dogs (all older chill dogs). Since Owen does need more exercise, he goes on regular play dates with other playful dogs and is very social and appropriate with dogs. Owen does experience an occasional limp with his back right leg. The vet believes that it is a neurological condition, as there is nothing physically wrong with his leg, and that the issue may go away with time. We think his mom may have stepped on him when he was a baby. As he has grown, he’s progressed greatly, and now slightly limps when he is tired or overexcited. Owen can walk well on leash - and like many young dogs could still use some work! His limp tends to reappear after some time walking, although the timing varies. He doesn’t seem bothered by it. In fact, one of his favorite activities is running. He chases the lawn sprinkler and it’s hilarious! Owen loves riding in the car and jumps right in. On walks and in the car he can occasionally bark at something he sees, and this is easy to re-direct. Owen eats his meals in the crate because he can resource guard (growl or snap over food or an object he’s stolen). His foster can teach you some simple techniques to reduce conflict and safely resolve any issues. Owen has done an awesome job learning “drop it” or to trade an object he’s guarding for a treat. He loves to spend time outdoors, playing and exploring. Owen is very silly and makes us laugh every day with his puppy antics. He is an awesome companion. He would love to join your family!

Story
Meet Bennett! Part Chihuahua, Dachshund and Weasel...? He is 9 years young and just the cutest little guy ever. He was rescued from a neglectful home and has been with his foster family for about three weeks now. He is on a great track to being house-trained (especially given that he was not in his previous home). He's used to being crated a few hours a day but needs an afternoon break, so if you work long hours he's not the one for you. At night he would prefer to be right by your side, he's content to sleep under the covers all night long. He walks well on a leash and will shoot quicks looks behind him to make sure you're still there. He is a snuggle bug 100% and wants to be near or on you whenever possible. He enjoys trips to Home Depot, Breweries, outdoor patios - if he can sit on your lap he's a happy boy. He does well with kids (who can respect boundaries) other dogs and cats! He really is an amazing dude who deserves an equally amazing life. So put in that application so you can meet this wonderful pup.Adoption fee of $90 includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and heartworm/flea/tick preventionApply here: https://2pawsup.org/applications/adoption-application/October 2, 2024, 1:51 am
