Story
Estrella was born March 5 2025. She is being rehomed because we were fined for having too many dogs. She is a loving pup raised around children, cats and her siblings, who also have to find new homes. She needs a fenced in yard. She is quick, agile and clever. She needs a safe place to run loose in and a warm bed for snuggling in at night.

Story
💙 Meet Buffy — The Blue-Coated Beauty Ready to Be Your Ride-or-Die! 💙 (No slaying vampires required.) Buffy is a 1–2 year old, 40-pound, spayed pittie mix with the most stunning blue coat and bright, eager eyes that light up the moment she steps outside her kennel. She gets so excited to head out for her walk — who can blame her? — but once she’s outside, she settles beautifully and becomes a total joy on leash. This smart, affectionate girl is the full package: ✨ Treat motivated (she’ll show off her perfect sit the moment snacks appear!) ✨ Comes when called — because she genuinely wants to be near her people ✨ Playful, loving, and oh-so-smart — a dream dog for someone who loves training and bonding ✨ Adventure ready — she’d make an amazing sidekick for an active adopter who wants a cheerful shadow tagging along for life’s outings Buffy has also shown great doggie manners on leashed walks with other pups (meet & greets required), and she even passed her initial cat test! No real interest in them — she’s far more focused on the humans giving her love. At her core, Buffy is a people-oriented sweetheart who just wants affection, attention, and someone to call her person. She’s the kind of dog who will love you with her whole heart, follow you anywhere, and bring so much fun and joy into your days. If you’re looking for a best friend who’s equal parts cuddly, clever, and ready for adventure… Buffy is SO your girl. 💙🐾 Come meet her and see for yourself — this blue beauty is ready to shine in her forever home.

Jasmine, a stunning 50-pound black brindle-and-white pittie mix, is ready to charm her way straight into your heart. This 2–4-year-old sweetheart already knows her sit command and is incredibly treat-motivated — the perfect recipe for a pup who’s eager to learn and loves making her people proud. On leash she can be a little hesitant at first, but give her a yard and a little freedom and she absolutely comes alive. 🚗 Bonus Perk: Jasmine rides wonderfully in the car — happily watching the world go by and soaking in every new adventure with calm curiosity. She’s the perfect co-pilot for errands, outings, or just enjoying the breeze together. 🎾 Fun Fact: Tennis balls? Best. Thing. Ever. If you toss it, she’ll chase it. If you squeak it, she’ll zoom. If you hand it to her… well, she might just propose marriage. 💖 Jasmine’s Vibe: • Quiet, affectionate, and wonderfully attentive • Playful with a soft, sweet soul • Outgoing once she trusts you — then you’re her whole world • Happy just hanging out with her person (bonus points if you bring the ball 😉) Jasmine is the total package — gentle, gorgeous, silly, smart, and so ready for her forever person. Story
💙 Meet Sweetness — A Quiet Soul Waiting for Someone to See Her 💙 Some dogs arrive at the shelter loud and bold. Sweetness arrived softly. Sweetness is a young, 60-pound husky/shepherd mix with the most breathtaking detail of all — one stunning blue eye that seems to look straight into your heart. She’s still new to the shelter, and like many sensitive souls, she’s taking her time learning that the world can be kind. On leash, Sweetness walks gently and calmly, staying right by your side. She’s quiet, curious, and observant — the kind of dog who watches everything before deciding it’s safe. When walking alongside a friendly male dog, she showed polite interest and then peacefully went about her way, perfectly content. And here’s where her story gets even sweeter… ✨ With other dogs around, Sweetness truly begins to bloom. She seems to gain confidence from canine companionship and recently enjoyed a free play date with a laid-back male dog. In that space, something magical happened — Sweetness came out of her shell. Her tail wagged, her body relaxed, and she showed a playful side that felt like a glimpse into the dog she’s meant to be. 🎾 Toys are her secret joy — especially squeaky ones. Offer her a toy with a squeaker and she transforms into a happy, playful girl who clearly loves life. It’s incredible to watch her light up, reminding us that her gentleness doesn’t mean she lacks joy — she just needs the right environment to feel safe enough to show it. She allows gentle affection and leans into trust at her own pace. She doesn’t demand attention — she waits for it. And when you offer kindness, she receives it with soft eyes and quiet gratitude. 🌿 Sweetness Would Thrive With: A calm, patient home Someone who understands that confidence grows with time Gentle routines, quiet walks, and reassurance Possibly a calm, friendly canine companion A person who believes the softest dogs often love the deepest Sweetness isn’t the dog who jumps into your arms — she’s the one who slowly learns you’re safe, and then never forgets it. The kind of companion who bonds quietly, deeply, and forever. She’s waiting for someone special. Someone who sees her not as shy — but as gentle, thoughtful, playful, and beautifully brave. Could that be you? 🐾💙

Story
💖 Meet Lola – the lovebug with a little sass and a LOT of heart! At 2–3 years old and about 50 pounds, Lola is the total package — white-and-brindle beauty, house-trained, leash-ready, dog-friendly, affectionate, and full of charm. She’s got personality for days (an 11 out of 10, truly). Lola is thriving in her foster home with two other pups, and she’s proven to be an easy housemate — she rides great in the car, knows her commands, and can be crated if needed. She just needs a little time to warm up to new people, but once you’re in her circle, you’ll have a hilarious, loyal companion who’ll bring endless joy to your days. She’s not a fan of vet visits, but with patience and understanding, Lola will show you she’s worth every bit of extra effort. ✨ Ready to meet your new best friend? Reach out to her foster at briester239@gmail.com or 804-690-5801 to learn more or set up a visit.

🐾 Meet Smitty — The Sweetheart Who Deserves His Spotlight 🐾 If you’ve been waiting for a dog who’s equal parts charm, ease, and loyalty, let us introduce you to Smitty, a 3–5-year-old, 65-pound gray-and-white pittie mix who has quietly become a volunteer favorite. And honestly? It’s still a mystery how he’s been overlooked for so long. 💛 Why Everyone Loves Smitty: • A true gentleman on leash — steady, polite, and happy to stroll right beside you. • Attentive and people-oriented; he sits politely for treats and watches you with those “I adore you” eyes. • Friendly and laid-back, with that perfect middle-aged vibe: playful when you want to play, mellow when you want to relax. • Solidly built but doesn’t pull — walking him feels like hanging out with an old friend. 🚗 Adventure-Ready & Car-Ride Approved: Smitty rides wonderfully in the car and is always game for a new adventure. Sure, he might start off a little excited (can you blame him?), but once he settles in, he’s all about living his best life — especially if it means making new friends along the way. 🐶 Social Skills: Smitty has done great in multiple meet-and-greets with other dogs, and he may even do well with cats. If you already have pets, bring them by to see if this sweet boy could be their new buddy! ✨ In Short: Smitty is an easy, gentle, incredibly lovable dog who wants nothing more than a person to bond with and a home where he can finally exhale. He’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel calmer, brighter, and a little more full. Come meet Smitty — the sweet soul who’s ready to turn “overlooked” into “forever loved.” 💙🐾
