Ruthie, a spunky 12-year-old Terrier/Lab mix, is searching for her perfect home! At 50lbs, she's a playful cuddle bug who loves chomping on antlers, sticks, and plush toys. Ruthie has an independent spirit and is content to relax and do her own thing, but also loves human company. She's not demanding of attention, preferring instead to be your furry shadow. Think of her as a loyal companion, always happy to see you with a big bark and wiggly butt greeting. Ruthie is a bright pup who's house-trained and highly food-motivated. Ruthie thrives in a calm environment where she has access to a fenced in backyard. Ruthie has lived with a loving family since she was adopted from a shelter when she was a year old. Ruthie's family has had to make this hard decision due to Ruthie's inability to get along with small pets. Ruthie deserves to continue to live in the company of those who can welcome her big heart and honor her need to be the one and only pet!

Pete is a cuddler. He's 4 an a half yrs old. Sleeps in his own donut bed with his blanket on the floor. Then comes to the foot of our bed in the morning to snuggles. Sleeps from 11 to 8 am. He needs a yard to run in and a place to dig. We don't have one, so we walk him 4x a day but he does need to run and dig. Pete doesn't chew anything...... you can leave him home up to about 4 hrs and he does well (not in a crate). He loves his WOOF full of food when we go out. We love him and will miss him, but he needs to go free and he will be better off. When I said he doesn't like dogs, there wasn't a place to say some dogs. He needs to mix more with other dogs.

What people don't realize is that this seeming wallflower becomes a confident and playful dog in the home as long as she has another dog in the home to show her the ropes -- so much so that Noel starts her day by play wrestling with any dog she can find. She would thrive in a quiet home with another dog. She walks well on the leash, but does best in quieter neighborhoods where loud noises won't scare her. She is truly an amazing dog. She is so funny. She is only about three years old but she has such a calm and thoughtful personality. Look in her eyes and you have to wonder what she is thinking. Claire enjoys all the attention you can offer, She enjoys easy walks. None of that pulling for her. When she has had enough, she simply sits down for a few minutes just to let you catch your breath(haha). She is also happy hanging out with you in a fenced yard. She will roll around in the grass and take in the joy of the day. She is such an easy girl. Then inside for a nap on the couch or snuggled at your feet. Maybe a snack?
