Bucky is a 2-year-old Plott hound with a big heart and an even bigger nose for adventure. He loves to sniff around, engage in scent work, and play with his favorite Chuck it football. He is Friendly, Playful, and Goofy. Initially, we cautioned families with small children due to his size, and homes with cats (or the ability to separate) due to his prey drive. Bucky is a deserving boy who just wants to please, and snuggle in your bed! He enjoys the company of other dogs around too. He's a big doofus and will bring laughter and joy to any home!

Do you have an intense passion about the things you love? Me, too! My name is Percy, I'm estimated to be a 4 year old bulldog mix, and I weigh in at about 50lbs. I get along with the other dogs in my foster home, although I am a pretty intense fellow, so my forever doggy siblings would need to be okay with me annoying them sometimes. I can't help it - I love everyone! I haven't met a cat yet, but I have a minimal prey drive, so it's assumed I'll do just fine with a proper introduction. Because of my strength and zest for life, kids 12+ for me, please! I'm a very happy guy. I love kisses on my big noggin and getting snuggles. Chewing on bones, tearing apart stuffies, and chasing my ball are a few of my favorite things. I've lived on the streets most of my life, so my new family will need to be patient with me, and give me the time I need to feel safe and secure in my new home. I spent so long fighting to survive, it's hard for me to understand that you got me, and all I need to do is be the happy, goofy dude I was meant to be. These moments require an owner with bulldog experience who knows how to redirect his in-your-face behavior and encourage positive interactions with people and other dogs. Shrek loves hard and fast. He wants to be near his people at all times and is happiest when he's sitting right next to you (or even on your lap). He is incredibly affectionate and will shower you in snuggles and kisses. With other dogs, Shrek is very "in your face" with his greetings, which some dogs find quite rude. Due to this, we will require a meet with any resident dogs prior to approving adoption. Shrek is potty trained & will quickly learn which door he needs to sit by to alert you that he needs to go out. He is crate trained & quietly naps or chews on bones while in his crate. His foster mom is working hard on "sit & wait" prior to going through doorways & at meal times. They are also working on leash manners & learning what is appropriate to chew on. This 9 year old boy is 3/4 GSD, 1/4 border collie. Hoss is a great dog for an experienced owner. He requires frequent exercise and remains very active. Walks, runs, and fetch with a frisbee are two of his favorites. He does have some anxiety and reactive tendencies on leash toward other dogs and does not warm up quickly to strangers. Hoss is a very sweet boy to his people and is incredibly loyal to his owners. We are looking to rehome him as we have a toddler and now a newborn - with this, Hoss’ herding instincts have become a problem at times. When he is anxious or if he has not gotten his exercise yet, he will nudge our toddler and give him a slight nip. Hoss is NOT outwardly aggressive toward children or people, but these slight nips as he wants to herd are not fair to our child. I would not characterize him as a dog that bites, but simply uses this nip as a herding dog would to re-direct. When properly exercised, this issue does subside significantly.
