Story
Gloria is the kind of dog who believes everyone is a potential best friend! She’s affectionate, people-loving, and always ready to soak up attention, especially if it comes with belly rubs (her absolute favorite!). One of her most endearing traits? Her charismatic tongue that loves to droop out the side of her mouth even when she’s sleeping, adding to her irresistible charm.Gloria has a solid ‘sit’ and a treat-loving attitude that makes learning new things enjoyable. She’s happy to hang out, head out for walks, or chase after toys when it’s playtime. Just as much as she enjoys being active, Gloria also loves to snuggle and relax close to her people. Gloria also does great on car rides and tolerates vet care well, true to her easygoing and adaptable nature. Gloria does well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. We think she would do well with older children who are understanding of her exuberant (and sometimes clumsy) moments. Gloria will need a cat-free home. Gloria’s ready to be your adventure buddy, couch companion, and loyal friend all in one. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Adorable Flora is ready to find her forever home! Flora came to us as a stray with her sister, Fauna. We’re not sure of her breed, but she’s definitely a big pup - already almost 70 lbs! Despite her size, she`s very gentle. While we`re working on her jumping up to greet people, she`s always gentle about it. Flora loves people and wants to hug and give face kisses to anyone she meets. Once she settles down, she`ll happily sit by your feet for pets and attention. She`s a lovebug who`s eager to please! She`s been in a foster home for a few weeks and has been slowly but surely learning house manners. Potty-training is still new to her but she`s made great progress! Her foster mom said that as soon as she figured out their doggie door, she never had another accident in the house. Flora`s also improving on her walking skills and already knows `sit`! Flora has done well with other dogs and has been getting along with several dogs in her foster home. We believe a home with an adult dog to show her the ropes would be a great fit for Flora. Story
Meet the sweetest girl, Holly!Although she`s quiet, Holly is a high-energy girl who thrives on activity and fun. Walks are one of her favorite things, and she’s always excited about playtime with toys or tackling enrichment puzzles that keep her busy and thinking. Holly adores other dogs and would love a canine friend to romp around with. This smart, playful pup would do best in an active home that enjoys walks, games, and mental enrichment. She’s also very people-friendly and affectionate, though she can be a little shy at first especially when there’s a big crowd. Once she has a moment to warm up, her sweet and loving personality really shines through. We’re still learning how Holly feels about cats in the home. Because she can be shy when meeting new people, she would likely do best with children who can give her time and space to warm up. She`s learning some basic commands and would benefit from positive reinforcement training, which will help her build confidence and continue learning in a fun, rewarding way. With her playful spirit, loving heart, and eagerness to learn, Holly would make a wonderful addition to a family ready to give her the time, activity, and love she deserves. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Mozze is an inquisitive and energetic young dog who’s ready to find his forever home! Mozze has been in a foster home the last several weeks, and is learning manners with both dogs and humans, as well as foundational skills to help him live his best life!Mozze loves to play fetch, go for long walks, play chase with other dogs, and never says no to belly rubs! He is learning to read social cues from dogs and to politely sit for his meals and greeting humans. He would do well in a home that can give him an hour of active play or exercise daily. A confident active adult dog buddy seems to boost his confidence. He likes kids, and would do well with kids school age and up due to his energy level. His house training is coming along, he’s able to be kenneled in the kitchen for a few hours without accidents, and he sleeps overnight in a crate without accidents. He does need to be let out consistently during the day to keep him accident free. Mozze may bark briefly when first crated, but he’s improving as he learns the routine. With consistency and patience, he’s showing how adaptable and eager to please he can be.Mozze is a smart boy who loves learning his cues and using polite behavior to ask for what he wants. He would love to continue his skills training in his new home, and will do best in a home that can provide consistency, patience, love and ongoing mental and physical stimulation. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.- Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
At just 3 years old, Lou has already mastered the art of spreading joy. This sweet, snuggly boy greets every day (and every human!) with a full-body wiggle and little snorts that could brighten even the cloudiest morning. He adores cuddles, scratches, and curling up beside you (or on your lap) the moment you sit down. He believes love is a full-contact sport!Lou is a toy enthusiast through and through, and balls are his absolute favorite. Whether he’s proudly trotting around with one in his mouth or inviting you to play, he’s always ready for fun. Despite his playful streak, Lou is wonderfully well-mannered. He’s fully potty trained, takes care of his toys and bedding, and eager to please. On walks and out in the world, Lou is calm and non-reactive when passing other dogs who don`t enter his space. But at home, he prefers to be the star of the show - he wants to be the only dog in the household. He also needs a home without cats so he can relax, play, and thrive without temptation or stress. We believe he may do well in a home with older respectful children.Lou is currently located in a Foster Home. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Sweet Fauna is now available for adoption! Fauna came to us as a stray with her sister, Flora. We’re not sure of her breed, but she’s definitely a big pup - already around 70 lbs! Fauna loves any and all people, and will happily sit next to anyone who`s giving her scratches and pets. With new dogs she can be timid at first, but quickly comes out of her shell. She`s been making new dog friends here at the shelter and has been gaining her confidence everyday! Fauna is working on learning dog things and is eager to please! She`s learning how to play with toys, and so far stuffies with squeakers are her favorite! She`s been working on leash walking, learning `off` and `sit`, and is enjoying car rides. She`s working extra hard on her jumping up, but that`s only because she wants to hug and give face kisses to every person she meets. She would likely thrive in a home with children, especially those who are comfortable with a large, affectionate dog who loves to give face-to-face kisses.Fauna would likely do well in a home with an older dog to show her the ropes. We don`t believe she`s potty or kennel trained but she`s ready and eager to learn. We aren`t sure how she would do in a home with cats at this time.
