Story
Introducing Cricket! This adorable, energetic boy is full of life and ready to find a family who can keep up with his enthusiasm! Cricket is currently located in a foster home.Cricket thrives on playtime - whether it’s fetch, tug-of-war, or any other game that involves his favorite people (or dog friends), he’s always up for fun. Once he’s out the door, Cricket is a great walker, but he can get a bit jumpy and wiggly during harnessing - he just can’t contain his excitement! With patience and positive reinforcement, he’s already making great progress.Cricket is potty-trained and house-trained, and he knows which toys are his to play with. He’s both food and toy-motivated, making him an excellent candidate for continued training. Cricket would do best in an active home that can give him plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Long walks or runs, regular playtime, or even some hiking adventures would make him one happy dog. With the right guidance, this smart pup will blossom into a well-mannered, loyal companionCricket may be a bit too exuberant for very young children, but he’s lived with older kids before and loves to play with them. He also enjoys the company of other dogs who love to play. Since his play style can be a little rough at times, he’d likely do best with another young, energetic canine friend. Cricket will need a home without cats.If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog who’ll bring joy and energy to your life, Cricket might just be your perfect match! Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Mozze is an inquisitive and energetic young dog who’s ready to find his forever home! Mozze has been in a foster home the last several weeks, and is learning manners with both dogs and humans, as well as foundational skills to help him live his best life!Mozze loves to play fetch, go for long walks, play chase with other dogs, and never says no to belly rubs! He is learning to read social cues from dogs and to politely sit for his meals and greeting humans. He would do well in a home that can give him an hour of active play or exercise daily. A confident active adult dog buddy seems to boost his confidence. He likes kids, and would do well with kids school age and up due to his energy level. His house training is coming along, he’s able to be kenneled in the kitchen for a few hours without accidents, and he sleeps overnight in a crate without accidents. He does need to be let out consistently during the day to keep him accident free. Mozze may bark briefly when first crated, but he’s improving as he learns the routine. With consistency and patience, he’s showing how adaptable and eager to please he can be.Mozze is a smart boy who loves learning his cues and using polite behavior to ask for what he wants. He would love to continue his skills training in his new home, and will do best in a home that can provide consistency, patience, love and ongoing mental and physical stimulation. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.- Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Meet the sweetest girl, Holly!Although she`s quiet, Holly is a high-energy girl who thrives on activity and fun. Walks are one of her favorite things, and she’s always excited about playtime with toys or tackling enrichment puzzles that keep her busy and thinking. Holly adores other dogs and would love a canine friend to romp around with. This smart, playful pup would do best in an active home that enjoys walks, games, and mental enrichment. She’s also very people-friendly and affectionate, though she can be a little shy at first especially when there’s a big crowd. Once she has a moment to warm up, her sweet and loving personality really shines through. We’re still learning how Holly feels about cats in the home. Because she can be shy when meeting new people, she would likely do best with children who can give her time and space to warm up. She`s learning some basic commands and would benefit from positive reinforcement training, which will help her build confidence and continue learning in a fun, rewarding way. With her playful spirit, loving heart, and eagerness to learn, Holly would make a wonderful addition to a family ready to give her the time, activity, and love she deserves. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
At just 3 years old, Lou has already mastered the art of spreading joy. This sweet, snuggly boy greets every day (and every human!) with a full-body wiggle and little snorts that could brighten even the cloudiest morning. He adores cuddles, scratches, and curling up beside you (or on your lap) the moment you sit down. He believes love is a full-contact sport!Lou is a toy enthusiast through and through, and balls are his absolute favorite. Whether he’s proudly trotting around with one in his mouth or inviting you to play, he’s always ready for fun. Despite his playful streak, Lou is wonderfully well-mannered. He’s fully potty trained, takes care of his toys and bedding, and eager to please. On walks and out in the world, Lou is calm and non-reactive when passing other dogs who don`t enter his space. But at home, he prefers to be the star of the show - he wants to be the only dog in the household. He also needs a home without cats so he can relax, play, and thrive without temptation or stress. We believe he may do well in a home with older respectful children. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Twain and Riley are available for a foster-to-adopt home together.Riley and Twain are a bonded pair of sweet, gentle souls who have spent almost seven wonderful years side by side and are now hoping to find a home together. They were surrendered through no fault of their own and are now looking for a fresh start with a family who will cherish them as much as they deserve. These two would love nothing more than a calm, loving environment where they can settle in and stay forever. Both Riley and Twain are affectionate and kind-hearted, though they can be a little shy at first around men. With patience, consistency, and a few tasty treats, they slowly open up and show their true personalities. They love going for walks and enjoy getting out to explore, and at home you’ll often find them happily cuddling together or entertaining themselves with their favorite stuffed toys. They are crate-trained, house-trained, and mostly potty-trained, making them an easy addition to a home that understands a little patience during transitions.Riley and Twain have lived with children before and would do well with respectful kids who understand giving dogs space when needed. They prefer to keep their circle small and would do best as the only dogs in the home, as they do not enjoy the company of other dogs. They are currently available as foster-to-adopt while they receive a bit of extra care: Twain will be having a dental procedure. Their future family would be supported during this time, and fostering first allows everyone to get to know each other before making things official. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website.
