Story
Frannie is a compact cutie looking for her new family! This girl is about 2 years old and is all about the FUN. Toys, games, walks, runs, you name it, she`s up for it. We think she`d love agility or maybe scent work - anything that keeps her brain and body busy. Frannie seems dog social and really wants to play so a dog friend who is equally playful might be a perfect match. Frannie can be cautious and leery of new people so a home without a lot of people coming and going would be ideal for her. More about Frannie:- 2 years old (estimated); 43 pounds- Active and playful but also snuggly once she gets comfortable- Seems to enjoy the company of other playful dogs- No information with cats- Suggested for children around teenage and up due to exuberance, active playstyle, excitable jumping, initial caution with new people. - Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible. Interested in meeting this dog? The first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website at: https://www.oahs.org/dog-adoption-process/ . Questions? E-mail dog@oahs.org or call (920) 424-2128 ext 108.

Nesta is a shy but sweet medium sized girl who will absolutely steal your heart. She`s really not enjoying being here at the shelter and would love a family to snuggle up to in this cold weather...Once comfortable, Nesta LOVES to play and ask for attention. Make sure to have plenty of tennis balls at your disposal. More about Nesta: -Approximately 1 year old & weighs 50 pounds -Needs a slower approach, but warms up fairly quick-Eager to learn. Knows her basic commands (sit)-Very affectionate once comfortable-Seems potty trained-Does not seem to enjoy the company of other dogs. -No knowledge of how she does with cats -Would thrive in a quiet & calm home where she can gain confidence & have structure -Suggested for children teen-age & up due to her nervousness -Spayed, vaccinated & microchipped Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible. Story
Molly is a very sweet and loving family dog. She loves going for walks and is trained on a leash as well as walking off a leash. Since moving from quiet Northern Wisconsin, she has had troubles adjusting to the city life. She used to roam around freely outside and never ran away. She enjoyed sitting outside in the fresh air and sunshine. She would do great with someone who has a large yard. She’s used to children and cats. She enjoys going to the dog park but has a tendency to bark in other dogs faces to get them to play. I think she would be ok with other dogs in a home, however she has jealousy issues. She used to be best friends with our cat, but is now very jealous of any attention he receives. We have been struggling with her going potty outside. Before we moved she never went potty inside. Someone is always home to take her outside, so we believe it is a behavioral issue. She is somewhat kennel trained.

Story
Honey is adorable; Honey is sweet and sensitive; Honey is smart. Honey is also a little dog with some BIG opinions, about a lot of things. There are so many great qualities about Honey, but there’s also some things she needs work on. Honey was adopted from OAHS for about three months but was returned for nipping and showing sensitivity and reactivity to new people, noises and fast movements. Honey recently had a consultation and meet with a positive-reinforcement based behavior consultant and trainer and she did AMAZING. She’s a real smarty-paws! Honey showed us she is more than willing to learn skills that will help her be successful in a new environment. But she’ll need a person or family willing to work with her on appropriate behaviors and continue her learning. We are seeking a foster or adopter for Honey and OAHS will provide free in-home training to set both Honey and her people up for success! Honey’s ideal home would be quiet, without a lot of people coming and going, and with adults only or older children in their teens who would also be willing to participate in her training. Honey should be the only dog in the home as she seems very stressed being by other dogs. We do not have any information about her with cats. If you are willing to put time and energy into helping Honey be her best self, either through fostering or adoption, please fill out an application today! - 1 year old, 8 pounds- Very smart and willing to work for treats and attention- Likes walks - walks well on leash- Loves tummy rubs! - No known history with cats- Avoidant of other dogs - very nervous and uncomfortable when approached. Would most likely enjoy being the only dog in the home. - Sensitive to fast movements or loud noises, suggested for adult only home or home with children in upper teens. - OAHS will sponsor in-home behavioral training with a positive-reinforcement based trainer/consultant! to help Honey get started on the right paw. - Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchippedPlease note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible.
