Story
Rehoming Noodle is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I want her to have the home where she can truly thrive. ✨ What Makes Noodle Special: Noodle bonds deeply with her human. She is the type of dog who will be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your most loyal friend. She’s affectionate, funny, and incredibly loving once she trusts you. ✨ Home Where She’ll Thrive: Because she forms such strong bonds, Noodle does best in a quiet, one-person home without children. She can feel anxious with too much activity and may act protective if she thinks her person needs defending. She would be perfect for someone who wants a devoted companion and enjoys a calm lifestyle. With the right person, Noodle will be the most loving, loyal, and rewarding dog. She has so much warmth and affection to give, and she deserves a home where she can feel safe and adored. If you think you might be her person, I’d love to talk and make sure it’s the perfect match.

Story
15 mo sweet Malshi lap boy needs a loving home where he is not left alone for more than 6 hrs or he would do well with another dog to keep him company. Currently it is just me and Noah in the household. I work full-time plus and will be relocating to Southern Wisconsin to help my daughter. I am unable to take Noah with me during this upcoming life transition. He is neutered, up to date on shots. He is regularly boarded at Golrusk when I vacation and does wonderful interacting with other dogs. My main desire is he go to a kind home where he will not be left alone for long stretches, as he does have separation anxiety. He is kennel trained while at work & has Christian music playing. He is an apartment dog, he is very well pee pad trained with no accidents, not outside trained. He does well on the harness but could use more training. He is intelligent and a definite lap dog. Please consider adopting Noah into your home! I live in GB not Appleton. PS-he barks at people going by the window

Story
I would like you to meet Lucy, a pure bred border collie. She is just four years old now, sorry pictures are out of date. And has been a great dog to have for the last fours years! We have been wanting to rehome her since we started having kids but cant find a good fit. Since she started being around the children more she has shown aggression towards them. And naturally they wouldnt respect her space so she acts out toward that. But unfortunately she has proven she cant be trusted around small children. We also feel that we can't provide her the attention she needs. She would do great in a home where she can play outside a lot and run, she has a lot of energy. She would be better in a home without children. With the proper training I feel that Lucy can be the perfect dog for your home!

Story
Introducing Cricket! This adorable, energetic boy is full of life and ready to find a family who can keep up with his enthusiasm! Cricket thrives on playtime - whether it’s fetch, tug-of-war, or any other game that involves his favorite people (or dog friends), he’s always up for fun. Once he’s out the door, Cricket is a great walker, but he can get a bit jumpy and wiggly during harnessing - he just can’t contain his excitement! With patience and positive reinforcement, he’s already making great progress.Cricket is mostly potty-trained and house-trained, and he knows which toys are his to play with. He’s both food and toy-motivated, making him an excellent candidate for continued training. Cricket would do best in an active home that can give him plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Long walks or runs, regular playtime, or even some hiking adventures would make him one happy dog. With the right guidance, this smart pup will blossom into a well-mannered, loyal companionCricket may be a bit too exuberant for very young children, but he’s lived with older kids before and loves to play with them. He also enjoys the company of other dogs who love to play. Since his play style can be a little rough at times, he’d likely do best with another young, energetic canine friend. Cricket will need a home without cats.If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog who’ll bring joy and energy to your life, Cricket might just be your perfect match! Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Looking for a dog who’s got enough personality to fill your whole heart (and maybe a bit of your couch)? Meet Mini, an energetic 45lb, playful, smart, and incredibly lovable pup who’s ready to find her forever family! Mini is always up for a game of fetch, a hike, or just zooming around the yard. This pup thrives on activity and stimulation and would love an active home that can match her playful spirit. She`s a pro at puzzle toys, and loves learning new things! Snuggle time is also a must - when the energy winds down, Mini is all about the cuddles.Mini was found with another dog and would do best in a home with another confident adult dog who can show her the ropes. Although she`s very vocal when she sees another dog, as soon as she meets them she typically wants to play. A fenced yard would be beneficial for this girl but not necessarily required as long as she is on a leash or tie out and monitored. Cats are a little too exciting for Mini, so a feline-free home would be a must. She`s incredibly food motivated and has impressed us with her intelligence, making training fun and rewarding for everyone!During her time here, Mini has been on multiple day trips and office days with our wonderful volunteers. She`s learned a lot from these outings and has impressed us with her house manners. Although she`s still learning, she`s improving on her potty training with minimal accidents indoors. Like many of us, Mini has a few quirks that make her extra special. We’re currently working on things like reactivity to cars during walks and being calm when seeing new dogs through positive training, she is making great progress! She very rarely barks at cars that pass her, and she more easily quiets down when she sees another dog. A patient, dog-savvy adopter who’s open to continuing this journey will get to witness firsthand the rewarding progress as Mini gains more confidence and skills. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website.
